Isaiah 21
1 The burden of the desert Sea. As the whirlewindes in the South vse to passe from the wildernesse, so shall it come from the horrible land.
১সমুদ্রের দ্বারা মরুভূমি বিষয়ে একটি ঘোষণা। দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলের মধ্যে দিয়ে ব্যাপক ঝড়ের মতো এটি আসে তেমনি করে মরু-এলাকা থেকে, সেই ভয়ঙ্কর দেশের মধ্যে দিয়ে আসছে।
2 A grieuous vision was shewed vnto me, The transgressour against a transgressour, and the destroyer against a destroyer. Goe vp Elam, besiege Media: I haue caused all the mourning thereof to cease.
২একটা পীড়াদায়ক দর্শন আমাকে দেখানো হয়েছে বিশ্বাসঘাতক লোক বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করছে এবং ধ্বংসকারী ধ্বংস করছে। হে এলম, যাও এবং আক্রমণ কর; মাদিয়া, ঘিরে ফেল। আমি তার সব কান্না থামিয়েছি।
3 Therefore are my loynes filled with sorow: sorowes haue taken me as the sorowes of a woman that trauayleth: I was bowed downe when I heard it, and I was amased when I sawe it.
৩অতএব আমার কোমর ব্যথায় পূর্ণ হল, স্ত্রীলোকের প্রসব-যন্ত্রণার মত যন্ত্রণা আমাকে ধরেছে। আমি এমন নত হয়েছি যে, শুনতে পাচ্ছি না, এমন উত্তেজিত হয়েছি যে, দেখতে পাচ্ছি না।
4 Mine heart failed: fearefulnesse troubled me: the night of my pleasures hath he turned into feare vnto me.
৪আমার হৃদয় ধুক্ ধুক্ করছে; ভীষণ ভয় আমাকে কাঁপিয়ে তুলছে। যে রাতের জন্য আমি অপেক্ষা করে থাকতাম তা আমার জন্য ভয়ের বিষয় হয়েছে।
5 Prepare thou the table: watch in the watch towre: eate, drinke: arise, ye princes, anoynt the shielde.
৫তারা মেজ তৈরী করছে, তারা কম্বল পাতছে এবং খাওয়া-দাওয়া করছে; হে নেতারা, ওঠো, তোমার ঢালে তেল মাখাও।
6 For thus hath the Lord said vnto me, Go, set a watchman, to tell what he seeth.
৬কারণ প্রভু আমার কাছে এই কথা বলেছেন, “যাও, তুমি গিয়ে একজন পাহারাদার নিযুক্ত কর; সে যা কিছু দেখবে তা যেন অবশ্যই খবর দেয়।
7 And he sawe a charet with two horsemen: a charet of an asse, and a charet of a camel: and he hearkened and tooke diligent heede.
৭যখন সে রথ ও জোড়ায় জোড়ায় অশ্বারোহী আর গাধা আরোহী, উট আরোহী দেখবে, তখন সে যেন মনোযোগ দেয় এবং খুব সতর্ক হয়।”
8 And he cryed, A lyon: my lorde, I stand continually vpon ye watche towre in the day time, and I am set in my watche euery night:
৮তখন সেই পাহারাদার চিত্কার করে বলবে, “হে আমার প্রভু, দিনের পর দিন প্রহরীদুর্গে আমি দাঁড়িয়ে থাকি; আমি প্রত্যেক রাতে আমার পাহারা-স্থানেই থাকি।”
9 And beholde, this mans charet commeth with two horsemen. And he answered and said, Babel is fallen: it is fallen, and all the images of her gods hath he broken vnto the ground.
৯এখানে রথেরচালকের সঙ্গে এক সেনাদল, জোড়ায় জোড়ায় অশ্বারোহী আসছে। সে বলবে, “ব্যাবিলনের পতন হয়েছে, পতন হয়েছে এবং তার দেবতাদের সব খোদাই-করা মূর্তিগুলি মাটিতে ভেঙে পড়ে আছে।”
10 O my threshing, and the corne of my floore. That which I haue heard of the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, haue I shewed vnto you.
১০হে আমার মাড়াই করা শস্য, আমার খামারের সন্তান! আমি বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে আমি যা শুনেছি তা তোমাদেরকে জানালাম।
11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth vnto me out of Seir, Watchman, what was in ye night? Watchman, what was in the night?
১১দূমারবিষয়ে ঘোষণা: সেয়ীর থেকে কেউ আমাকে ডেকে বলল, “পাহারাদার, রাত আর কতক্ষণ বাকি আছে? পাহারাদার, রাত আর কতক্ষণ বাকি আছে?”
12 The watchman saide, The morning commeth, and also the night. If yee will aske, enquire: returne and come.
১২পাহারাদার উত্তর দিল, “সকাল হয়ে আসছে এবং রাতও আসছে। যদি তুমি জিজ্ঞাসা কর, তবে জিজ্ঞাসা করো, ফিরে এসো।”
13 The burden against Arabia. In the forest of Arabia shall yee tarie all night, euen in the waies of Dedanim.
১৩আরবের বিষয়ে ঘোষণা এই: হে দদানীয় যাত্রীর দল, তোমরা আরবের মরুপ্রান্তে রাত কাটাও,
14 O inhabitants of the lande of Tema, bring foorth water to meete the thirstie, and preuent him that fleeth with his bread.
১৪পিপাসার জন্য জল আন। হে টেমা দেশের বাসিন্দারা, তোমরা পালিয়ে যাওয়া লোকদের জন্য খাবার নিয়ে গিয়ে তাদের সঙ্গে দেখা কর।
15 For they flee from the drawen swords, euen from the drawen sword, and from the bent bowe, and from the grieuousnesse of warre.
১৫কারণ তারা তরোয়াল থেকে, আকর্ষিত তরোয়াল থেকে, বাঁকানো ধনুকের থেকে আর ভারী যুদ্ধের সামনে থেকে পালিয়ে গেল।
16 For thus hath the Lord sayd vnto me, Yet a yeere according to the yeeres of an hireling, and all the glorie of Kedar shall faile.
১৬কারণ প্রভু আমার কাছে এই কথা বললেন, “এক বছরের মধ্যে, এক বছরের জন্য মজুরী দেওয়া একজন শ্রমিক হিসাবে এটি দেখতে পাবে, কেদরের সমস্ত গৌরব শেষ হবে।
17 And the residue of the nomber of ye strong archers of the sonnes of Kedar shall be fewe: for the Lord God of Israel hath spoken it.
১৭কেদরের ধনুকধারী যোদ্ধাদের মধ্যে অল্প লোকই বেঁচে থাকবে;” কারণ ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলছেন।
