< Hosea 10 >
1 Israel is a emptie vine, yet hath it brought foorth fruite vnto it selfe, and according to the multitude of the fruite thereof he hath increased the altars: according to the goodnesse of their lande they haue made faire images.

2 Their heart is deuided: nowe shall they be founde faultie: he shall breake downe their altars: he shall destroy their images.
Ngoro ciao nĩ cia maheeni, na rĩu no nginya marĩhio wĩhia wao. Jehova nĩakamomora igongona ciao, na athũkangie mahiga macio mao maamũre ma kũhooyagwo.
3 For now they shall say, We haue no King because we feared not the Lord: and what should a King doe to vs?
Ningĩ nĩmakoiga atĩrĩ, “Tũtirĩ na mũthamaki, tondũ tũtiigana gũtĩĩa Jehova. No o na korwo twarĩ na mũthamaki-rĩ, nĩ atĩa angĩahotire gũtwĩkĩra?”
4 They haue spoken woordes, swearing falsly in making a couenant: thus iudgement groweth as wormewoode in the furrowes of the fielde.
Meranagĩra ciĩranĩro nyingĩ, na makehĩta mĩĩhĩtwa ya maheeni, na magathondeka irĩkanĩro; nĩ ũndũ ũcio maciira makunũkaga ta mahuti marĩ ũrogi marĩa mameraga hianyũ-inĩ.
5 The inhabitants of Samaria shall feare because of the calfe of Beth-auen: for the people thereof shall mourne ouer it, and the Chemarims thereof, that reioyced on it for the glorie thereof, because it is departed from it.
Andũ arĩa matũũraga Samaria metangaga nĩ ũndũ wa mũhianano wa njaũ ĩrĩa ya Bethi-Aveni. Amu andũ akuo nĩmakamĩcakaĩra, na noguo athĩnjĩri-ngai a mĩhianano ĩyo mageeka arĩa makenagĩra riiri wayo, tondũ nĩyeheretio kuuma kũrĩ o, ĩgathaamĩrio kũndũ kũngĩ.
6 It shall bee also brought to Asshur, for a present vnto King Iareb: Ephraim shall receiue shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his owne counsell.
Nayo ĩgaatwarwo Ashuri, ĩtuĩke kĩheo kũrĩ mũthamaki ũcio mũnene. Efiraimu nĩagaconorithio; Isiraeli nake nĩagaconoka nĩ ũndũ wa mĩhianano ĩyo yake ya mĩtĩ.
7 Of Samaria, the King thereof is destroyed as the some vpon the water.

8 The hie places also of Auen shall be destroied, euen the sinne of Israel: the thorne and the thistle shall growe vpon their altars, and they shall say to the mountaines, Couer vs, and to the hils, Fall vpon vs.
Kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru gwĩkagĩrwo waganu nĩgũkanangwo, na nĩkuo kwene wĩhia wa Isiraeli. Mĩigua na mahiũ ma nyeki-inĩ nĩcio igaakũra kuo, nacio ihumbĩre igongona ciao. Nao andũ nĩmakeera irĩma atĩrĩ, “Tũhumbĩrei!” na macooke meere tũrĩma atĩrĩ, “Tũgwĩrei!”
9 O Israel, thou hast sinned from the daies of Gibeah: there they stoode: the battell in Gibeah against the children of iniquitie did not touch them.
“Wee Isiraeli-rĩ, kuuma o matukũ-inĩ ma Gibea ũtũũrĩte wĩhagia, na ũguo noguo ũtũũraga. Githĩ mbaara ndĩakinyĩire eeki ũũru kũu Gibea?
10 It is my desire that I should chastice them, and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall gather themselues in their two furrowes.
Rĩrĩa niĩ ngenda, nĩngamaherithia; ndũrĩrĩ nĩigacookanĩrĩra, imokĩrĩre nĩguo imoohe imatahe nĩ ũndũ wa mehia mao kũingĩha.
11 And Ephraim is as an heifer vsed to delite in threshing: but I will passe by her faire necke: I will make Ephraim to ride: Iudah shall plowe, and Iaakob shall breake his cloddes.
Efiraimu nĩ moori menyerie wĩra ĩrĩa yendete gũkonyora ngano; nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩngamĩoha icooki ngingo-inĩ yayo thaka. Nĩngatwarithia Efiraimu, Juda no nginya agaacimba na mũraũ, nake Jakubu no nginya agaacimba gĩtira.
12 Sowe to your selues in righteousnes: reape after the measure of mercy: breake vp your fallowe grounde: for it is time to seeke the Lord, till he come and raine righteousnesse vpon you.
Rĩu-rĩ, mwĩhaandĩrei ũhoro wa ũthingu, nĩguo mwĩgethere maciaro ma wendo ũtathiraga, na mũciimbe mĩgũnda yanyu ya ngamba; nĩgũkorwo ihinda nĩ ikinyu rĩa kũrongooria Jehova, nginya rĩrĩa agooka, oirie mbura ya ũthingu igũrũ rĩanyu.
13 But you haue plowed wickednesse: ye haue reaped iniquitie: you haue eaten the fruite of lies: because thou didest trust in thine owne waies, and in the multitude of thy strong men,
No rĩrĩ, inyuĩ mũhaandĩte waganu, mũkagetha ũũru; inyuĩ mũrĩĩte maciaro ma maheeni. Tondũ mwĩhokaga hinya wanyu inyuĩ ene, o na wa njamba cianyu nyingĩ cia ita-rĩ,
14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy munitions shall be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth-arbell in the daie of battell: the mother with the children was dashed in pieces.
mũrurumo wa mbaara nĩũgokĩrĩra andũ aku. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ciikaro ciaku iria nũmu nĩikaanangwo, o ta ũrĩa Shalimani aanangire Bethi-Arabeli mũthenya ũrĩa wa mbaara, rĩrĩa manyina ma twana maatungumanirio thĩ hamwe na twana twao.
15 So shall Beth-el doe vnto you, because of your malicious wickednes: in a morning shall the King of Israel be destroied.
Ũguo noguo ũgeekwo wee Betheli, nĩ ũndũ wa waganu waku mũnene. Rĩrĩa mũthenya ũcio ũgaakĩa-rĩ, mũthamaki wa Isiraeli nĩakaniinwo biũ.
