Hebrews 4
1 Let vs feare therefore, least at any time by forsaking the promise of entring into his rest, any of you should seeme to be depriued.
೧ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ, ದೇವರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಬಹುದೆಂಬ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಇನ್ನೂ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಅದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗದಂತೆ ನಾವು ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಇರೋಣ.
2 For vnto vs was the Gospel preached as also vnto them: but the worde that they heard, profited not them, because it was not mixed with faith in those that heard it.
೨ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಶುಭವರ್ತಮಾನವು ಸಾರೋಣವಾದಂತೆಯೇ ನಮಗೂ ಸಾರೋಣವಾಯಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇವರು ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗದ ಕಾರಣ ಆ ಸಂದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3 For we which haue beleeued, doe enter into rest, as he said to the other, As I haue sworne in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest: although the workes were finished from the foundation of the world.
೩ಈಗ ನಂಬುವವರಾದ ನಾವುಗಳೇ ಆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಮುಗಿದುಹೋದಾಗ್ಯೂ “ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
4 For he spake in a certaine place of the seuenth day on this wise, And God did rest the seuenth day from all his workes.
೪ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೋ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ, “ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನೆಂದು” ಬರೆದದೆ.
5 And in this place againe, If they shall enter into my rest.
೫“ಇವರು ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು” ಎಂದು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಪುನಃ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter thereinto, and they to whom it was first preached, entred not therein for vnbeliefes sake:
೬ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಕೆಲವರು ದೇವರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನುಮತಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮೊದಲು ಶುಭವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರು ಅವಿಧೇಯರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರದೆಹೋದರು.
7 Againe he appointed in Dauid a certaine day, by To day, after so long a time, saying, as it is sayd, This day, if ye heare his voyce, harden not your hearts.
೭ಪುನಃ ಬಹುಕಾಲದ ನಂತರ ಆತನು ದಾವೀದನ ಮೂಲಕ ‘ಈ ಹೊತ್ತೇ’ ಎಂದು ಬೇರೊಂದು ದಿನವನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, “ನೀವು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವುದಾದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನಷ್ಟೆ.
8 For if Iesus had giuen them rest, then would he not after this haue spoke of an other day.
೮ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾದರೆ, ಬೇರೊಂದು ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
೯ಆದಕಾರಣ ದೇವರ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಬ್ಬತೆಂಬ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯು ಇನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು.
10 For he that is entred into his rest, hath also ceased from his owne works, as God did from his.
೧೦ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆತನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿರುವವನು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
11 Let vs studie therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same ensample of disobedience.
೧೧ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಈ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸೋಣ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರೂ ಅವರಂತೆ ಅವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗದೆ ಇರೋಣ.
12 For the worde of God is liuely, and mightie in operation, and sharper then any two edged sword, and entreth through, euen vnto the diuiding asunder of the soule and the spirit, and of the ioints, and the marow, and is a discerner of the thoughtes, and the intents of the heart.
೧೨ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಸಜೀವವಾದದ್ದು, ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾದದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವ ಇಬ್ಬಾಯಿ ಕತ್ತಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹರಿತವಾದದ್ದು ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಾಣ ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೀಲುಮಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ತೂರಿಹೋಗುವಂಥದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೃದಯದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವಂಥದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
13 Neither is there any creature, which is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and open vnto his eyes, with whome we haue to doe.
೧೩ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆತನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾದದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಗ್ನವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಟ್ಟಬಯಲಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಅಂಥವನಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಲೆಕ್ಕಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
14 Seeing then that wee haue a great hie Priest, which is entred into heauen, euen Iesus the Sonne of God, let vs holde fast our profession.
೧೪ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಹೋದ ದೇವಕುಮಾರನಾದ ಯೇಸುವೆಂಬ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ನಮಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಮಗಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿಯೋಣ.
15 For we haue not an hie Priest, which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all things tempted in like sort, yet without sinne.
೧೫ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮಗಿರುವ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ನಮ್ಮ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಕಂಪ ತೋರಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ಸರ್ವ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವನು, ಪಾಪ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವಷ್ಟೇ.
16 Let vs therefore goe boldly vnto ye throne of grace, that we may receiue mercy, and finde grace to helpe in time of neede.
೧೬ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ತಕ್ಕ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆಯೂ ಆತನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಯೋಚಿತವಾದ ಸಹಾಯವು ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆಯೂ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಆತನ ಕೃಪಾಸನದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರೋಣ.
