Hebrews 3
1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heauenly vocation, consider the Apostle and high Priest of our profession Christ Iesus:
അതുകൊണ്ട്, സ്വർഗീയവിളിക്ക് ഓഹരിക്കാരായ വിശുദ്ധസഹോദരങ്ങളേ, നമ്മുടെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനും മഹാപുരോഹിതനുമായി നാം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന യേശുവിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുക.
2 Who was faithfull to him that hath appointed him, euen as Moses was in al his house.
മോശ ദൈവഭവനത്തിൽ പരിപൂർണവിശ്വസ്തത പുലർത്തിയതുപോലെ, യേശുവും തന്നെ നിയോഗിച്ച ദൈവത്തോട് വിശ്വസ്തത പുലർത്തി.
3 For this man is counted worthy of more glory then Moses, inasmuch as he which hath builded the house, hath more honour then the house.
വീടുനിർമിച്ചവനു വീടിനെക്കാൾ അധികം ബഹുമാനം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ യേശു മോശയെക്കാൾ അധികം ആദരവിന് അർഹനായിത്തീർന്നു.
4 For euery house is builded of some man, and he that hath built all things, is God.
ഏതു ഭവനത്തിനും ഒരു നിർമാതാവു വേണം; ദൈവമാണ് സകലത്തിന്റെയും നിർമാതാവ്.
5 Now Moses verely was faithfull in all his house, as a seruant, for a witnesse of the thinges which should be spoken after.
ദൈവം ഭാവിയിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യാനിരുന്നതിനു സാക്ഷ്യംവഹിക്കുന്നവനായി “മോശ ദൈവഭവനത്തിൽ ഒരു ഭൃത്യന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്ത് എല്ലാറ്റിലും വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നു.”
6 But Christ is as the Sonne, ouer his owne house, whose house we are, if we holde fast that confidence and that reioycing of that hope vnto the ende.
ക്രിസ്തുവോ, സ്വഭവനത്തിന്മേൽ അധികാരമുള്ള പുത്രനാണ്. നാം പ്രത്യാശയുടെ ധൈര്യവും അഭിമാനവും മുറുകെപ്പിടിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ, നാംതന്നെയാണ് ദൈവഭവനം.
7 Wherefore, as the holy Ghost sayth, To day if ye shall heare his voyce,
അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നത്: “ഇന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ,
8 Harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation, according to the day of the tentation in the wildernes,
മരുഭൂമിയിലെ പരീക്ഷാനാളുകളിൽ, ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി, എന്നോടു മത്സരിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇനിയും മത്സരിക്കരുത്.
9 Where your fathers tempted me, prooued me, and sawe my workes fourtie yeeres long.
അവിടെ നാൽപ്പതുവർഷം എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ കണ്ടവരായിരുന്നിട്ടുകൂടി, നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂർവികർ എന്റെ ക്ഷമ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.
10 Wherefore I was grieued with that generation, and sayde, They erre euer in their heart, neither haue they knowen my wayes.
അതുകൊണ്ട് ആ തലമുറയോട് എനിക്കു കോപമുണ്ടായി; ‘എപ്പോഴും എന്നിൽനിന്നകന്നുപോകുന്ന പ്രവണതയോടുകൂടിയ ഹൃദയമുള്ളവർ, എന്റെ നിർദേശങ്ങൾ പാലിക്കാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാത്തവർ,’ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
11 Therefore I sware in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest.
‘അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ ഒരിക്കലും എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുകയില്ല’ എന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ ശപഥംചെയ്തു.”
12 Take heede, brethren, least at any time there be in any of you an euill heart, and vnfaithfull, to depart away from the liuing God.
സഹോദരങ്ങളേ, സൂക്ഷിക്കുക, ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ പരിത്യജിക്കാൻ കാരണമായിത്തീരുന്ന വിശ്വാസമില്ലാത്ത ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയം നിങ്ങളിൽ ആർക്കും ഉണ്ടാകരുത്.
13 But exhort one another dayly, while it is called to day, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulnes of sinne.
പാപത്താൽ വഞ്ചിതരായി നിങ്ങളിൽ ആരും ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യമുള്ളവർ ആകാതിരിക്കാൻ, “ഇന്ന്” എന്നു പറയാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുവരെ, അനുദിനം പരസ്പരം പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുക.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we keepe sure vnto the ende that beginning, wherewith we are vpholden,
നമ്മുടെ പ്രത്യാശയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ആദ്യന്തം സുസ്ഥിരതയോടെ പിൻതുടർന്നാൽമാത്രമേ നിങ്ങളും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മിത്രങ്ങളായി തുടരുകയുള്ളു.
15 So long as it is sayd, To day if ye heare his voyce, harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation.
“ഇന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ, മരുഭൂമിയിലെ പരീക്ഷാനാളുകളിൽ, ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി, എന്നോടു മത്സരിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇനിയും മത്സരിക്കരുത്,” എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമ്പോൾ,
16 For some when they heard, prouoked him to anger: howbeit, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
ആരാണ് ഈ “കേട്ടു മത്സരിച്ചവർ?” ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് മോശ സ്വതന്ത്രരാക്കിയ എല്ലാവരുമല്ലയോ?
17 But with whome was he displeased fourtie yeeres? Was hee not displeased with them that sinned, whose carkeises fell in the wildernes?
നാൽപ്പതുവർഷം അവിടന്നു കോപിച്ചത് ആരോടായിരുന്നു? പാപംചെയ്തവരോടല്ലയോ? അവരുടെ ശരീരങ്ങളല്ലേ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വീണുപോയത്.
18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but vnto them that obeyed not?
അവർ അവിടത്തെ സ്വസ്ഥതയിൽ ഒരുനാളും പ്രവേശിക്കുകയില്ലെന്നു ദൈവം ശപഥംചെയ്തത്, അനുസരണയില്ലാത്ത ഇവരോടല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരോടാണ്?
19 So we see that they could not enter in, because of vnbeliefe.
ഇങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ അവിശ്വാസംനിമിത്തം അവർക്കു സ്വസ്ഥതയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല എന്നു നാം കാണുന്നു.
