Hebrews 12
1 Wherefore, let vs also, seeing that we are compassed with so great a cloude of witnesses, cast away euery thing that presseth downe, and the sinne that hangeth so fast on: let vs runne with patience the race that is set before vs,

2 Looking vnto Iesus the authour and finisher of our faith, who for the ioy that was set before him, endured the crosse, and despised the shame, and is set at the right hand of the throne of God.
Are qila ri Jesús rumal cher chirij areꞌ kuꞌl wi qakꞌuꞌx rumal areꞌ xmajin loq ri qakojobꞌal xuqujeꞌ are katzꞌaqatisan na. Are ri Jesús xqꞌiꞌowik ri kꞌixibꞌal are xkamik cho ri ripbꞌal rumal cher retaꞌm chi kakiꞌkot na are kikꞌow chupam ri kꞌaxkꞌolal. Chanim kꞌut tꞌuyul pa uwiqiqꞌabꞌ ri utꞌuyulibꞌal ri Dios pa ri kaj.
3 Consider therefore him that endured such speaking against of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your mindes.
Chixchoman chirij ri xnoꞌjinik ri Jesús. Sibꞌalaj e kꞌi winaq xeꞌtzelan uwach xuqujeꞌ xkibꞌan kꞌax che, man xtzalij ta kꞌu kan chirij. Rumal riꞌ man kuya taj kixqꞌiꞌtaj chubꞌanik ri tajin kibꞌano.
4 Ye haue not yet resisted vnto blood, striuing against sinne.
Kꞌamajaꞌ ya kixkamisaxik pa ri chꞌoꞌj ri kibꞌan rukꞌ ri mak.
5 And ye haue forgotten the consolation, which speaketh vnto you as vnto children, My sonne, despise not the chastening of the Lord, neither faint when thou art rebuked of him.
La xsachan kꞌu chiꞌwe ri utzij ri Dios ri bꞌiꞌtal loq chuyaꞌik ichuqꞌabꞌ jeriꞌ rumal cher ix ralkꞌwaꞌl ri Dios. Ri tzij ri xbꞌix loq chiꞌwe kubꞌij: Nukꞌojol, man kawetzelaj taj ri pixabꞌ ri kuya ri Ajawxel chawe, xuqujeꞌ man katchuquchubꞌ taj are katuyajo.
6 For whom the Lord loueth, he chasteneth: and he scourgeth euery sonne that he receiueth:
Rumal cher ri Dios kusukꞌumaj ri kuloqꞌaj xuqujeꞌ kurapuj ri kukꞌamawaꞌj che ralkꞌwaꞌl.
7 If ye endure chastening, God offereth him selfe vnto you as vnto sonnes: for what sonne is it whom the father chasteneth not?

8 If therefore ye be without correction, whereof al are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sonnes.
We man kixuyaj ri Dios jetaq ri kubꞌan chike ri e ralkꞌwaꞌl, man qas ta bꞌa ix ralkꞌwaꞌl ri Dios riꞌ.
9 Moreouer we haue had the fathers of our bodies which corrected vs, and we gaue them reuerence: should we not much rather be in subiection vnto the father of spirites, that we might liue?
Ojer, are uj akꞌalabꞌ na, ri e qatat qanan rech ri uwachulew xeꞌqanimaj pune xujkiyajo. La are ta kꞌu mat kaqanimaj ri Dios, ri qatat ri kꞌo pa ri kaj, rumal we kaqanimaj ri kubꞌij kaqarik na jun alik kꞌaslemal.
10 For they verely for a few dayes chastened vs after their owne pleasure: but he chasteneth vs for our profite, that we might be partakers of his holinesse.
Qas tzij ri qatat qanan ojer xujkiyajo xuqujeꞌ xujkipixibꞌaj jun janipa qꞌij jetaq ri xkaj, ri Dios kꞌut kujupixabꞌaj rumal karaj kujuxik tyoxalaj taq winaq jacha ri areꞌ sibꞌalaj tyox.
11 Now no chastising for the present seemeth to be ioyous, but, grieuous: but afterwarde, it bringeth the quiet fruite of righteousnesse, vnto them which are thereby exercised.
Qas tzij man kꞌo ta jun pixabꞌ ri qas kaqaj pa ranimaꞌ jun, xane sibꞌalaj kꞌax kanoꞌwik, pune jeriꞌ are kakꞌamawaꞌtajik kuya jaꞌmaril, sukꞌal chike ri xekꞌamawaꞌnik.
12 Wherfore lift vp your hands which hang downe, and your weake knees,
Rumal bꞌa riꞌ, pune qꞌiꞌtajinaq chi ri iqꞌabꞌ xuqujeꞌ ri iwaqan, chikꞌamawaꞌj ichuqꞌabꞌ.
13 And make straight steppes vnto your feete, lest that which is halting, be turned out of the way, but let it rather be healed.
Chixbꞌinoq pa ri sukꞌ bꞌe, rech ri man kakwin taj kabꞌinik, kutzirik xuqujeꞌ kuchapleꞌj bꞌinem.
14 Followe peace with all men, and holinesse, without the which no man shall see ye Lord.
Chixkꞌoloq pa jaꞌmaril kukꞌ konojel ri winaq xuqujeꞌ chinimaj ri Dios rumal cher we man kixnimanik man kiꞌwila ta uwach riꞌ ri Dios.
15 Take heede, that no man fall away from the grace of God: let no roote of bitternes spring vp and trouble you, lest thereby many be defiled.
Qas chiwilaꞌ chi man kꞌo ta jun mat kuriq ri utoqꞌobꞌ ri Dios, xuqujeꞌ chi man kꞌo ta jun kakꞌiy kachkatem pa ranimaꞌ jeriꞌ man kubꞌan ta kꞌax chike nikꞌaj chik.
16 Let there be no fornicator, or prophane person as Esau, which for one portion of meate solde his birthright.
Xuqujeꞌ man kꞌo ta bꞌa jun kubꞌan mak kukꞌ taq achyabꞌ xuqujeꞌ kukꞌ ixoqibꞌ xuqujeꞌ maretzelaj uwach ri Dios jetaq ri xubꞌan ri Esaú, xukꞌayij ri tewechibꞌal re ri unabꞌyaꞌlil cho jun laq urikil.
17 For ye knowe howe that afterwarde also when he woulde haue inherited the blessing, he was reiected: for he founde no place to repentance, though he sought that blessing with teares.
Xuqujeꞌ iwetaꞌm chi ri Esaú xraj chi na xukꞌamawaꞌj we tewechibꞌal riꞌ, man xkꞌamawaꞌx ta chik: Man xya ta chibꞌe che xukꞌex ukꞌuꞌx pune xoqꞌik chutayik ri tewechibꞌal.
18 For ye are not come vnto the mount that might be touched, nor vnto burning fire, nor to blacknes and darkenes, and tempest,
Ri ix man xixqebꞌ ta chi rilik xuqujeꞌ chuchapik ri juyubꞌ Sinaí chupam ri juyubꞌ riꞌ kꞌo qꞌaqꞌ kajininik, qꞌequꞌmal, qꞌeqmuj, xuqujeꞌ kaqulja.
19 Neither vnto the sounde of a trumpet, and the voyce of wordes, which they that heard it, excused themselues, that the word should not be spoken to them any more,
Xuqujeꞌ xkita ri roqꞌibꞌal ri ukꞌaꞌ, ri uchꞌabꞌal ri Dios, are xuya ri taqanik. Ri xetowik we chꞌabꞌal riꞌ pa ri juyubꞌ Sinaí, xkibꞌochiꞌj rech katanik ri chꞌabꞌal riꞌ.
20 (For they were not able to abide that which was commanded, yea, though a beast touche the mountaine, it shalbe stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
Rumal riꞌ man kꞌo ta jun kaqꞌiꞌow unimaxik ri tajin kabꞌix chike, ri winaq o awaj ri kapaqiꞌ cho ri juyubꞌ che abꞌaj kakamisaxik o kateqꞌ che tzꞌijtzꞌik chꞌichꞌ.
21 And so terrible was the sight which appeared, that Moses said, I feare and quake.)
Sibꞌalaj xibꞌibꞌal we jun kꞌutbꞌal riꞌ, rumal riꞌ xubꞌij ri Moisés: Tajin kinbꞌiribꞌat che xibꞌin ibꞌ.
22 But ye are come vnto the mount Sion, and to the citie of the liuing God, the celestiall Hierusalem, and to ye company of innumerable Angels,
Ri ix kꞌut xixqebꞌ chuxukut ri juyubꞌ Sión xuqujeꞌ chuxukut ri utinimit ri Dios, ri kꞌaslik chibꞌe qꞌij saq. Ri tinimit riꞌ are Jerusalén ri kꞌo pa ri kaj, chilaꞌ e kꞌo wi sibꞌalaj e kꞌi mil angelibꞌ ri kakiqꞌijilaꞌj ri Dios.
23 And to the assemblie and congregation of the first borne, which are written in heauen, and to God the iudge of all, and to the spirits of iust and perfite men,
Chilaꞌ e kꞌo wi konojel ri xuꞌkꞌamawaꞌj ri Dios che ralkꞌwaꞌl xuqujeꞌ xuya bꞌe chike kekꞌojiꞌk pa ri kaj, ix kixqebꞌ rukꞌ ri Dios ri kuqꞌat na tzij puꞌwiꞌ ri winaq cho ri uwachulew. Chilaꞌ rukꞌ ri Dios e kꞌo wi ri uxlabꞌal kech ri e sukꞌ taq winaq ri xbꞌan sukꞌ chike rumal ri Dios.
24 And to Iesus the Mediatour of the new Testament, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things then that of Abel.
Ix xixqebꞌ rukꞌ ri Jesús, naꞌtaj chiꞌwe chi xa rumal ri Areꞌ ri Dios xubꞌan jun kꞌakꞌ chꞌekom tzij iwukꞌ ix. Tyox che ri ukikꞌel ri Jesús ri xtixtobꞌik are xkamik xeꞌkuyutaj ri qamak. Rumal kꞌu riꞌ, ri Jesús are nim uqꞌij cho ri Abel, rumal cher ri ukikꞌel ri Abel man kakuyun taj xane are karaj kabꞌan qꞌatoj tzij.
25 See that ye despise not him that speaketh: for if they escaped not which refused him, that spake on earth: much more shall we not escape, if we turne away from him, that speaketh from heauen.
Chiwila bꞌa iwibꞌ, miwetzelaj ri uchꞌabꞌal ri Dios rumal cher we man xtoqꞌobꞌisax kiwach ri winaq aꞌj Israel ri e kꞌo cho ri uwachulew, la are ta kꞌu katoqꞌobꞌisax qawach uj we man kaqato ri chꞌabꞌal upetik pa ri kaj ri kujupixabꞌaj.
26 Whose voyce then shooke the earth and nowe hath declared, saying, Yet once more will I shake, not the earth onely, but also heauen.
Ojer, ri chꞌabꞌal riꞌ xubirirej ri uwachulew, xubꞌij xuqujeꞌ loq: Kinbꞌirirej chi na junmul man xwi ta ri uwachulew, xane ri kaj rachiꞌl ri uwachulew.
27 And this worde, Yet once more, signifieth the remouing of those things which are shaken, as of things which are made with hands, that the things which are not shaken, may remaine.
Are kubꞌij ri tzij junmul chi na, tajin kubꞌij chi karesaj na bꞌik ri jastaq ri tiktalik, rech jeriꞌ xwi kekanaj kanoq ri jastaq ri man utz taj kesalabꞌaxik. Rech jeriꞌ kaqaqꞌijilaꞌj ri Dios jetaq ri kaqaj cho areꞌ, rukꞌ mochꞌochꞌem ibꞌ.
28 Wherefore seeing we receiue a kingdome, which cannot be shaken, let vs haue grace whereby we may so serue God, that we may please him with reuerence and feare.

29 For euen our God is a consuming fire.
