Hebrews 10
1 For the Law hauing the shadowe of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can neuer with those sacrifices, which they offer yeere by yeere continually, sanctifie the commers thereunto.
vyavasthaa bhavi. syanma"ngalaanaa. m chaayaasvaruupaa na ca vastuunaa. m muurttisvaruupaa tato heto rnitya. m diiyamaanairekavidhai rvaar. sikabalibhi. h "sara. naagatalokaan siddhaan karttu. m kadaapi na "saknoti|
2 For would they not then haue ceased to haue bene offered, because that the offerers once purged, should haue had no more conscience of sinnes?
yadya"sak. syat tarhi te. saa. m baliinaa. m daana. m ki. m na nyavartti. syata? yata. h sevaakaari. svekak. rtva. h pavitriibhuute. su te. saa. m ko. api paapabodha. h puna rnaabhavi. syat|
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance againe of sinnes euery yeere.
kintu tai rbalidaanai. h prativatsara. m paapaanaa. m smaara. na. m jaayate|
4 For it is vnpossible that the blood of bulles and goates should take away sinnes.
yato v. r.saa. naa. m chaagaanaa. m vaa rudhire. na paapamocana. m na sambhavati|
5 Wherefore when he commeth into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offring thou wouldest not: but a body hast thou ordeined me.
etatkaara. naat khrii. s.tena jagat pravi"syedam ucyate, yathaa, "ne. s.tvaa bali. m na naivedya. m deho me nirmmitastvayaa|
6 In burnt offerings, and sinne offrings thou hast had no pleasure.
na ca tva. m balibhi rhavyai. h paapaghnai rvaa pratu. syasi|
7 Then I sayd, Lo, I come (In the beginning of the booke it is written of me) that I should doe thy will, O God.
avaadi. sa. m tadaivaaha. m pa"sya kurvve samaagama. m| dharmmagranthasya sarge me vidyate likhitaa kathaa| ii"sa mano. abhilaa. saste mayaa sampuurayi. syate|"
8 Aboue, when he sayd, Sacrifice and offring, and burnt offrings, and sinne offrings thou wouldest not haue, neither hadst pleasure therein (which are offered by the Lawe)
ityasmin prathamato ye. saa. m daana. m vyavasthaanusaaraad bhavati taanyadhi tenedamukta. m yathaa, balinaivedyahavyaani paapaghna ncopacaaraka. m, nemaani vaa nchasi tva. m hi na caite. su pratu. syasiiti|
9 Then sayd he, Lo, I come to doe thy wil, O God, he taketh away the first, that he may stablish the second.
tata. h para. m tenokta. m yathaa, "pa"sya mano. abhilaa. sa. m te karttu. m kurvve samaagama. m;" dvitiiyam etad vaakya. m sthiriikarttu. m sa prathama. m lumpati|
10 By the which wil we are sanctified, euen by the offring of the body of Iesus Christ once made.
tena mano. abhilaa. se. na ca vaya. m yii"sukhrii. s.tasyaikak. rtva. h sva"sariirotsargaat pavitriik. rtaa abhavaama|
11 And euery Priest standeth dayly ministring, and oft times offreth one maner of offring, which can neuer take away sinnes:
aparam ekaiko yaajaka. h pratidinam upaasanaa. m kurvvan yai"sca paapaani naa"sayitu. m kadaapi na "sakyante taad. r"saan ekaruupaan baliin puna. h punaruts. rjan ti. s.thati|
12 But this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sinnes, sitteth for euer at the right hand of God,
kintvasau paapanaa"sakam eka. m bali. m datvaanantakaalaartham ii"svarasya dak. si. na upavi"sya
13 And from hencefoorth tarieth, till his enemies be made his footestoole.
yaavat tasya "satravastasya paadapii. tha. m na bhavanti taavat pratiik. samaa. nasti. s.thati|
14 For with one offering hath he consecrated for euer them that are sanctified.
yata ekena balidaanena so. anantakaalaartha. m puuyamaanaan lokaan saadhitavaan|
15 For the holy Ghost also beareth vs record: for after that he had sayd before,
etasmin pavitra aatmaapyasmaaka. m pak. se pramaa. nayati
16 This is the Testament that I will make vnto them after those dayes, sayth the Lord, I wil put my Lawes in their heart, and in their mindes I will write them.
"yato hetostaddinaat param aha. m tai. h saarddham ima. m niyama. m sthiriikari. syaamiiti prathamata uktvaa parame"svare. neda. m kathita. m, te. saa. m citte mama vidhiin sthaapayi. syaami te. saa. m mana. hsu ca taan lekhi. syaami ca,
17 And their sinnes and iniquities will I remember no more.
apara nca te. saa. m paapaanyaparaadhaa. m"sca puna. h kadaapi na smaari. syaami|"
18 Nowe where remission of these things is, there is no more offering for sinne.
kintu yatra paapamocana. m bhavati tatra paapaarthakabalidaana. m puna rna bhavati|
19 Seeing therefore, brethren, that by the blood of Iesus we may be bolde to enter into the Holy place,
ato he bhraatara. h, yii"so rudhire. na pavitrasthaanaprave"saayaasmaakam utsaaho bhavati,
20 By the newe and liuing way, which hee hath prepared for vs, through the vaile, that is, his flesh:
yata. h so. asmadartha. m tiraskari. nyaarthata. h sva"sariire. na naviina. m jiivanayukta ncaika. m panthaana. m nirmmitavaan,
21 And seeing we haue an hie Priest, which is ouer the house of God,
apara nce"svariiyaparivaarasyaadhyak. sa eko mahaayaajako. asmaakamasti|
22 Let vs drawe neere with a true heart in assurance of faith, our hearts being pure from an euill conscience,
ato hetorasmaabhi. h saralaanta. hkara. nai rd. r.dhavi"svaasai. h paapabodhaat prak. saalitamanobhi rnirmmalajale snaata"sariirai"sce"svaram upaagatya pratyaa"saayaa. h pratij naa ni"scalaa dhaarayitavyaa|
23 And washed in our bodies with pure water, let vs keepe the profession of our hope, without wauering, (for he is faithfull that promised)
yato yastaam a"ngiik. rtavaan sa vi"svasaniiya. h|
24 And let vs consider one another, to prouoke vnto loue, and to good workes,
apara. m premni satkriyaasu caikaikasyotsaahav. rddhyartham asmaabhi. h paraspara. m mantrayitavya. m|
25 Not forsaking the fellowship that we haue among our selues, as the maner of some is: but let vs exhort one another, and that so much the more, because ye see that the day draweth neere.
apara. m katipayalokaa yathaa kurvvanti tathaasmaabhi. h sabhaakara. na. m na parityaktavya. m parasparam upade. s.tavya nca yatastat mahaadinam uttarottara. m nika. tavartti bhavatiiti yu. smaabhi rd. r"syate|
26 For if we sinne willingly after that we haue receiued and acknowledged that trueth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sinnes,
satyamatasya j naanapraapte. h para. m yadi vaya. m sva. mcchayaa paapaacaara. m kurmmastarhi paapaanaa. m k. rte. anyat kimapi balidaana. m naava"si. syate
27 But a fearefull looking for of iudgement, and violent fire, which shall deuoure the aduersaries.
kintu vicaarasya bhayaanakaa pratiik. saa ripunaa"sakaanalasya taapa"scaava"si. syate|
28 He that despiseth Moses Law, dieth without mercy vnder two, or three witnesses:
ya. h ka"scit muusaso vyavasthaam avamanyate sa dayaa. m vinaa dvayostis. r.naa. m vaa saak. si. naa. m pramaa. nena hanyate,
29 Of howe much sorer punishment suppose ye shall hee be worthy, which treadeth vnder foote the Sonne of God, and counteth the blood of the Testament as an vnholy thing, wherewith he was sanctified, and doeth despite the Spirit of grace?
tasmaat ki. m budhyadhve yo jana ii"svarasya putram avajaanaati yena ca pavitriik. rto. abhavat tat niyamasya rudhiram apavitra. m jaanaati, anugrahakaram aatmaanam apamanyate ca, sa kiyanmahaaghoratarada. n.dasya yogyo bhavi. syati?
30 For we know him that hath sayd, Vengeance belongeth vnto mee: I will recompense, saith the Lord. And againe, The Lord shall iudge his people.
yata. h parame"svara. h kathayati, "daana. m phalasya matkarmma suucita. m pradadaamyaha. m|" punarapi, "tadaa vicaarayi. syante pare"sena nijaa. h prajaa. h|" ida. m ya. h kathitavaan ta. m vaya. m jaaniima. h|
31 It is a fearefull thing to fall into the hands of the liuing God.
amare"svarasya karayo. h patana. m mahaabhayaanaka. m|
32 Nowe call to remembrance the dayes that are passed, in the which, after ye had receiued light, ye endured a great fight in afflictions,
he bhraatara. h, puurvvadinaani smarata yatastadaanii. m yuuya. m diipti. m praapya bahudurgatiruupa. m sa. mgraama. m sahamaanaa ekato nindaakle"sai. h kautukiik. rtaa abhavata,
33 Partly while yee were made a gazing stocke both by reproches and afflictions, and partly while ye became companions of them which were so tossed to and from.
anyata"sca tadbhoginaa. m samaa. m"sino. abhavata|
34 For both ye sorowed with mee for my bonds, and suffered with ioy the spoyling of your goods, knowing in your selues howe that ye haue in heauen a better, and an enduring substance.
yuuya. m mama bandhanasya du. hkhena du. hkhino. abhavata, yu. smaakam uttamaa nityaa ca sampatti. h svarge vidyata iti j naatvaa saananda. m sarvvasvasyaapahara. nam asahadhva nca|
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence which hath great recompense of reward.
ataeva mahaapuraskaarayukta. m yu. smaakam utsaaha. m na parityajata|
36 For ye haue neede of patience, that after ye haue done the will of God, ye might receiue the promise.
yato yuuya. m yene"svarasyecchaa. m paalayitvaa pratij naayaa. h phala. m labhadhva. m tadartha. m yu. smaabhi rdhairyyaavalambana. m karttavya. m|
37 For yet a very litle while, and hee that shall come, will come, and will not tary.
yenaagantavya. m sa svalpakaalaat param aagami. syati na ca vilambi. syate|
38 Nowe the iust shall liue by faith: but if any withdrawe himselfe, my soule shall haue no pleasure in him.
"pu. nyavaan jano vi"svaasena jiivi. syati kintu yadi nivarttate tarhi mama manastasmin na to. sa. m yaasyati|"
39 But we are not they which withdrawe our selues vnto perdition, but follow faith vnto the conseruation of the soule.
