Haggai 1
1 In the second yeere of King Darius, in the sixt moneth, the first day of the moneth, came ye worde of the Lord (by the ministery of the Prophet Haggai) vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, a prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, saying,
Roku wtórego Daryjusza króla, miesiąca szóstego, dnia pierwszego tegoż miesiąca, stało się słowo Pańskie przez Aggieusza proroka do Zorobabela, syna Salatyjelowego, książęcia Judzkiego, i do Jesuego, syna Jozedekowego, kapłana najwyższego, mówiąc:
2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, This people say, The time is not yet come, that the Lords House should be builded.
Tak powiada Pan zastępów, mówiąc: Ten lud mówi: Jeszcze nie przyszedł czas, czas budowania domu Pańskiego.
3 Then came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
Przetoż się stało słowo Pańskie przez Aggieusza proroka, mówiąc:
4 Is it time for your selues to dwell in your sieled houses, and this House lie waste?
Izali wam jest czas, abyście mieszkali w domach waszych listwowanych, a dom ten aby pusty stał?
5 Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
Teraz tedy tak mówi Pan zastępów: Uważajcież, jako się wam powodzi;
6 Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.
Siejecie wiele, a mało zbieracie; jecie, ale się nie nasycacie; pijecie, ale nie ugaszacie pragnienia; obłóczycie się, ale się nikt nie może zagrzać, a ten, co sobie zapłatę zgromadza, zgromadza ją do worka dziurawego.
7 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
Tak mówi Pan zastępów: Uważajcie, jako się wam powodzi;
8 Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
Wstąpcie na tę górę, i zwoźcie drzewo; budujcie ten dom, a zakocham się w nim, i będę uwielbiony, mówiPan.
9 Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.
Poglądacie na wiele, a oto, mało dostawacie, a co wnosicie do domu, to Ja rozdmuchywam; dlaczego? mówi Pan zastępów; dlatego, że dom mój jest pusty, a międzytem się każdy z was stara o dom swój.
10 Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.
Przetoż się nad wami niebo zawarło, aby rosy nie dawało; ziemia także zawarła się, aby nie wydawała urodzaju swego.
11 And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, and vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.
A tak przyzwałem suszę na tę ziemię, i na te góry, i na pszenicę, i na moszcz, i na oliwę, i na to, coby miała wydać ziemia, i na ludzi i na bydło, i na wszystkę pracę ręczną.
12 When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, and the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lord their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lord.
Tedy usłuchał Zorobabel, syn Salatyjelowy, i Jesua, syn Jozedekowy, kapłan najwyższy, i wszystkie ostatki ludu, głosu Pana, Boga swego, i słów Aggieusza proroka, ponieważ go posłał Pan, Bóg ich; bo się lud bał oblicza Pańskiego.
13 Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.
Tedy Aggieusz, poseł Pański, rzekł do ludu, będąc w poselstwie Pańskiem, mówiąc: Jam z wami, mówi Pan.
14 And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lord of hostes their God.
Wtem wzbudził Pan ducha Zorobabela, syna Salatyjelowego, książęcia Judzkiego, i ducha Jesuego, syna Jozedekowego, kapłana najwyższego, i ducha ostatków wszystkiego ludu, że przyszedłszy robili około domu Pana zastępów, Boga swego.
15 In the foure and twentieth day of the sixt moneth, in the second yeere of King Darius,
Dnia dwudziestego i czwartego, miesiąca szóstego, roku wtórego Daryjusza króla;
