1 In the second yeere of King Darius, in the sixt moneth, the first day of the moneth, came ye worde of the Lord (by the ministery of the Prophet Haggai) vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, a prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, saying,
Darius siangpahrang toksakhaih saning hnet, khrah tarukto haih, ni hmaloe koek ah, Tahmaa Haggai khae hoiah Shealtiel capa, Judah prae ukkung, Zerubbabel hoi Jehosadak capa, kalen koek qaima, Joshua khaeah Angraeng ih lok to angzoh.
2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, This people say, The time is not yet come, that the Lords House should be builded.
Misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih: hae kaminawk mah, Angraeng ih im sak hanah, atue pha ai vop, tiah thuih o.
3 Then came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
To pacoengah Angraeng ih lok to Tahmaa Haggai khae hoiah angzoh;
4 Is it time for your selues to dwell in your sieled houses, and this House lie waste?
hae im amro naah, kahoih ah pathoep het ih nangmacae im ah oh hanah atue mah phak boeh maw? tiah a naa.
5 Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
To pongah vaihi misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih: Na caeh o haih loklam to kahoih ah poek oh.
6 Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.
Nangcae loe cang pop parai ah na tuk o, toe zetta ni na aah o; na caak o e, zok nam hah o ai: na naek o e, nam hah o ai: nang khuk o e, na bae o ai: kami mah a toksakhaih atho to akhaw kaom tangka tabu thungah ni pacaengh, tiah thuih.
7 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
To pongah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah, Na caeh o haih loklamnawk to kahoih ah poek oh, tiah thuih.
8 Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
Mae nuiah caeh o tahang ah, thing to sin oh loe, im to sah oh, kai pakoeh hanah, a thungah anghoe hoi ka oh han, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
9 Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.
Pop parai oephaih na tawnh o, toe khenah, zetta ni na hnuk o; im ah na sinh o naah, kai mah kang hmu pae phaeng. Tipongah to tiah oh loe? tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih. Kai ih im loe amro pongah, kaminawk angmacae im ah cawnh o boih.
10 Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.
To pongah nangcae ranui ah kaom van mah dantui to pakaa moe, long mah doeh thingthai athai ai ah oh.
11 And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, and vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.
To pongah, lawk hoi maenawk, cang hoi kangtha misurtui, situi, akung amprawkhaih long, kaminawk, pacah ih moinawk, ban hoi sak ih hmuennawk angqo boih hanah lok ka paek boeh, tiah thuih.
12 When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, and the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lord their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lord.

13 Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.
To pacoengah Angraeng ih laicaeh Haggai mah Angraeng ih lok to kaminawk khaeah thuih pae; Kai loe nangcae hoi nawnto ka oh, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
14 And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lord of hostes their God.
Angraeng mah Shealtiel capa, Judah prae ukkung, Zerubbabel ih palungthin, Jehozadak capa, kalen koek qaima, Joshua ih palungthin, anghmat kaminawk boih ih palungthin to pathawk pae: nihcae loe angzoh o moe, angmacae, misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng im to sak o.
15 In the foure and twentieth day of the sixt moneth, in the second yeere of King Darius,
Darius siangpahrang saning hnetto, khrah tarukto haih, ni pumphae, palito naah toksak amtong o.
