Haggai 2
1 In the seuenth moneth, in the one and twentieth day of the moneth, came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
No sétimo mes, ao vigésimo primeiro do mes, foi a palavra do Senhor pelo ministério do profeta Aggeo, dizendo:
2 Speake nowe to Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
Fala agora a Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, príncipe de Judá, e a Josué, filho de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, e ao resto do povo, dizendo:
3 Who is left among you, that sawe this House in her first glory, and howe doe you see it nowe? is it not in your eyes, in comparison of it as nothing?
Quem há entre vós que resta, que viu esta casa na sua primeira glória, e qual agora a vêdes? não é esta como nada em vossos olhos, comparada com aquela.
4 Yet nowe be of good courage, O Zerubbabel, sayth the Lord, and be of good comfort, O Iehoshua, sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest: and be strong, all ye people of the land, sayth the Lord, and doe it: for I am with you, sayth the Lord of hostes,
Ora, pois, esforça-te, Zorobabel, diz o Senhor, e esforça-te, Josué, filho de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, e esforça-te, todo o povo da terra, diz o Senhor, e obra; porque eu sou convosco, diz o Senhor dos exércitos,
5 According to the worde that I couenanted with you, when ye came out of Egypt: so my Spirite shall remaine among you, feare ye not.
Segundo a palavra que concertei convosco, quando saístes do Egito, e o meu espírito ficou no meio de vós: não temais.
6 For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:
Porque assim diz o Senhor dos exércitos: Ainda uma vez daqui a pouco, e farei tremer os céus, e a terra, e o mar, e a terra seca;
7 And I will moue all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this House with glory, sayth the Lord of hostes.
E farei tremer a todas as nações, e virão ao Desejado de todas as nações, e encherei esta casa de glória, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
8 The siluer is mine, and the golde is mine, sayth the Lord of hostes.
Minha é a prata, e meu é o ouro, disse o Senhor dos exércitos.
9 The glory of this last House shall be greater then the first, sayth the Lord of hostes: and in this place will I giue peace, sayth the Lord of hostes.
A glória desta última casa será maior do que a da primeira, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, e neste lugar darei a paz, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
10 In the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto the Prophet Haggai, saying,
Ao vigésimo quarto do mês nono, no segundo ano de Dario, veio a palavra do Senhor pelo ministério do profeta Aggeo, dizendo:
11 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Aske nowe the Priests concerning the Law, and say,
Assim diz o Senhor dos exércitos: Pergunta agora aos sacerdotes, acerca da lei, dizendo:
12 If one beare holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt doe touch the bread, or the potage, or the wine, or oyle, or any meate, shall it be holy? And the Priests answered and said, No.
Se alguém leva carne santa na aba do seu vestido, e com a sua aba toca no pão, ou no guizado, ou no vinho, ou no azeite, ou em outro qualquer mantimento, porventura isso será santificado? E os sacerdotes, respondendo, diziam: Não.
13 Then sayde Haggai, If a polluted person touch any of these, shall it be vncleane? And the Priests answered, and sayd, It shalbe vncleane.
E disse Aggeo: Se algum imundo, por causa dum corpo morto, tocar em alguma destas coisas, porventura ficará imunda? E os sacerdotes, respondendo, diziam: Ficará imunda.
14 Then answered Haggai, and sayd, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord: and so are all the workes of their hands, and that which they offer here, is vncleane.
Então respondeu Aggeo, e disse: Assim é que este povo, e assim é que esta nação está diante do meu rosto, disse o Senhor; e assim é toda a obra das suas mãos: e tudo o que ali oferecem imundo é.
15 And nowe, I pray you, consider in your mindes: from this day, and afore, euen afore a stone was layde vpon a stone in the Temple of the Lord:
Agora pois, aplicai o vosso coração nisto, desde este dia em diante, antes que pozesseis pedra sobre pedra no templo do Senhor.
16 Before these things were, when one came to an heape of twentie measures, there were but ten: when one came to the wine presse for to drawe out fiftie vessels out of the presse, there were but twentie.
Depois que estas coisas se faziam, veio alguém ao montão de grão, de vinte medidas, e havia somente dez: vindo ao lagar para tirar cincoênta do lagar, havia somente vinte.
17 I smote you with blasting, and with mildewe, and with haile, in all the labours of your hands: yet you turned not to me, saith the Lord.
Feri-vos com queimadura, e com ferrugem, e com saraiva, em toda a obra das vossas mãos; e não houve entre vós quem voltasse para mim, diz o Senhor.
18 Consider, I pray you, in your mindes, from this day, and afore from the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, euen from the day that the foundation of the Lords Temple was laide: consider it in your mindes.
Ponde pois o vosso coração nisto, desde este dia em diante: desde o vigésimo quarto dia do mês nono, desde o dia em que se fundou o templo do Senhor, ponde o vosso coração nisto.
19 Is the seede yet in the barne? as yet the vine, and the figtree, and the pomegranate, and the oliue tree hath not brought forth: from this day will I blesse you.
Porventura ainda há semente no celeiro? nem ainda a videira, nem a figueira, nem a romeira, nem a oliveira, tem dado os seus frutos, mas desde este dia te abençoarei.
20 And againe the worde of the Lord came vnto Haggai in the foure and twentieth day of the moneth, saying,
E veio a palavra do Senhor segunda vez a Aggeo, aos vinte e quatro do mes, dizendo:
21 Speake to Zerubbabel the prince of Iudah, and say, I wil shake the heauens and the earth,
Fala a Zorobabel, príncipe de Judá, dizendo: Farei tremer os céus e a terra:
22 And I will ouerthrowe the throne of kingdomes, and I wil destroy the strength of the kingdomes of the heathen, and I wil ouerthrowe the charets, and those that ride in them, and the horse and the riders shall come downe, euery one by the sword of his brother.
E transtornarei o trono dos reinos, e destruirei a força dos reinos das nações; e transtornarei o carro e os que nele se assentam; e os cavalos e os que andam montados neles cairão, cada um pela espada do seu irmão.
23 In that day, saith the Lord of hostes, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel my seruant, the sonne of Shealtiel, sayth the Lord, and wil make thee as a signet: for I haue chosen thee, sayth the Lord of hostes.
Naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, te tomarei, ó Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, servo meu, diz o Senhor, e te farei como um anel de selar; porque te escolhi, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
