Haggai 1
1 In the second yeere of King Darius, in the sixt moneth, the first day of the moneth, came ye worde of the Lord (by the ministery of the Prophet Haggai) vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, a prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, saying,
No segundo ano segundo do rei Dario, no sexto mês, no primeiro dia do mês, veio a palavra do SENHOR, por meio do profeta Ageu, a Zorobabel filho de Sealtiel, governador de Judá, e a Josué filho de Jeozadaque, sumo sacerdote, dizendo:
2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, This people say, The time is not yet come, that the Lords House should be builded.
Assim fala o SENHOR dos exércitos: Este povo diz: O tempo não chegou, o tempo da casa do SENHOR ser reconstruída.
3 Then came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
Veio, pois, a palavra do SENHOR por meio do profeta Ageu, dizendo:
4 Is it time for your selues to dwell in your sieled houses, and this House lie waste?
Por acaso é para vós tempo de morar em vossas casas com telhado, e esta casa ficar deserta?
5 Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
Pois assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Considerai vossos caminhos.
6 Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.
Semeais muito, mas colheis pouco; comeis, mas não vos fartais; bebeis, mas não vos satisfazeis; vós vos vestis, mas não vos aqueceis; e o assalariado recebe seu salário em bolsa furada.
7 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Considerai vossos caminhos.
8 Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
Subi vós à montanha, trazei madeira, e reconstruí a casa; e dela me agradarei, e serei glorificado, diz o SENHOR.
9 Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.
Esperastes por muito, e alcançastes pouco; e quando o trouxestes para casa, eu soprei nisso. Por que isto?, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos. Porque minha casa está deserta, e cada um de vós corre para sua própria casa.
10 Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.
Por isso que os céus detêm o orvalho de vós, e a terra detém seus frutos.
11 And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, and vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.
E chamei a seca sobre a terra, sobre os montes, sobre o trigo, sobre o suco de uva, sobre o azeite, e sobre tudo o que a terra produz, e sobre os homens sobre e os animais, e sobre todo trabalho manual.
12 When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, and the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lord their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lord.
Então Zorobabel filho de Sealtiel, Josué filho de Jeozadaque, sumo sacerdote, e todo o resto do povo, ouviram a voz do SENHOR seu Deus, e as palavras do profeta Ageu, como o SENHOR Deus deles havia o enviado; e o povo temeu diante do SENHOR.
13 Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.
Então Ageu, mensageiro do SENHOR, falou mensagem do SENHOR ao povo, dizendo: Eu estou convosco, diz o SENHOR.
14 And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lord of hostes their God.
E o SENHOR despertou o espírito de Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, governador de Judá, e o espírito de Josué filho de Jeozadaque, sumo sacerdote, e o espírito de todo o resto do povo; e vieram e começaram a obra na casa do SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus deles,
15 In the foure and twentieth day of the sixt moneth, in the second yeere of King Darius,
No vigésimo quarto dia do sexto mês, no segundo ano do rei Dario.
