Haggai 1
1 In the second yeere of King Darius, in the sixt moneth, the first day of the moneth, came ye worde of the Lord (by the ministery of the Prophet Haggai) vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, a prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, saying,
No anno segundo do rei Dario, no sexto mez, no primeiro dia do mez, veiu a palavra do Senhor, pelo ministerio do propheta Aggeo, a Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, principe de Judah, e a Josué, filho de Josadac, o summo sacerdote, dizendo:
2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, This people say, The time is not yet come, that the Lords House should be builded.
Assim falla o Senhor dos Exercitos, dizendo: Este povo diz: Não é vindo o tempo, o tempo em que a casa do Senhor se edifique.
3 Then came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
Veiu pois a palavra do Senhor, pelo ministerio do propheta Aggeo, dizendo:
4 Is it time for your selues to dwell in your sieled houses, and this House lie waste?
Porventura é para vós tempo de habitardes nas vossas casas entaboladas, e esta casa ha de ficar deserta?
5 Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
Ora pois, assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: Applicae os vossos corações aos vossos caminhos.
6 Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.
Semeiaes muito, e recolheis pouco; comeis, porém não vos fartaes; bebeis, porém não vos saciaes; vestis-vos, porém ninguem fica quente; e o que recebe salario, recebe salario n'um sacco furado.
7 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: Applicae os vossos corações aos vossos caminhos.
8 Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
Subi ao monte, e trazei madeira, e edificae a casa, e d'ella me agradarei, e serei glorificado, diz o Senhor.
9 Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.
Olhastes para muito, mas eis que alcançastes pouco; e, quando o trouxestes a casa, eu lhe assoprei. Por que causa? disse o Senhor dos Exercitos: por causa da minha casa, que está deserta, e cada um de vós corre á sua propria casa.
10 Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.
Por isso se cerram os céus sobre vós, para não darem orvalho e a terra detem os seus fructos.
11 And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, and vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.
Porque chamei seccura sobre a terra, e sobre os montes, e sobre o trigo e sobre o mosto; e sobre o azeite, e sobre o que a terra produz: como tambem sobre os homens, e sobre os animaes, e sobre todo o trabalho das mãos.
12 When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, and the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lord their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lord.
Então ouviu Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e Josué, filho de Josadac, summo sacerdote, e todo o resto do povo a voz do Senhor seu Deus; e as palavras do propheta Aggeo, assim como o Senhor seu Deus o enviou; e temeu o povo diante do Senhor.
13 Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.
Então Aggeo, o embaixador do Senhor, na embaixada do Senhor, fallou ao povo, dizendo: Eu sou comvosco, diz o Senhor.
14 And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lord of hostes their God.
E o Senhor suscitou o espirito de Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, principe de Judah, e o espirito de Josué, filho de Josadac, summo sacerdote, e o espirito do resto de todo o povo, e vieram, e fizeram a obra na casa do Senhor dos Exercitos, seu Deus,
15 In the foure and twentieth day of the sixt moneth, in the second yeere of King Darius,
Ao vigesimo quarto dia do sexto mez, no segundo anno do rei Dario.
