Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heauen and the earth.
Al principio creó Dios el cielo y la tierra.
2 And the earth was without forme and void, and darkenesse was vpon the deepe, and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the waters.
La tierra era confusión y caos, y tinieblas cubrían la faz del abismo, mas el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre las aguas.
3 Then God said, Let there be light: And there was light.
Y dijo Dios: “Haya luz”; y hubo luz.
4 And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkenes.
Vio Dios que la luz era buena; y separó Dios la luz de las tinieblas.
5 And God called the Light, Day, and the darkenes, he called Night. So the euening and the morning were the first day.
Llamó Dios a la luz día, y a las tinieblas llamó noche. Y hubo tarde y hubo mañana: primer día.
6 Againe God said, Let there be a firmament in the mids of the waters: and let it separate the waters from the waters.
Después dijo Dios: “Haya un firmamento en medio de las aguas que separe unas aguas de otras”.
7 Then God made the firmament, and separated the waters, which were vnder the firmament, from the waters which were aboue the firmament: and it was so.
E hizo Dios el firmamento, y separó las aguas que estaban bajo el firmamento de las aguas que estaban sobre el firmamento. Y así fue.
8 And God called the firmament Heauen. So the Euening and the morning were the second day.
Llamó Dios al firmamento cielo; y hubo tarde y hubo mañana: día segundo.
9 God said againe, Let the waters vnder the heauen be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appeare. and it was so.
Y dijo Dios: “Júntense en un lugar las aguas que quedan bajo el cielo y aparezca lo seco”.
10 And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Llamó Dios a lo seco tierra, y a la reunión de las aguas llamó mares. Y vio Dios que estaba bien.
11 Then God said, Let the earth bud forth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seed, the fruitfull tree, which beareth fruite according to his kinde, which hath his seede in it selfe vpon the earth: and it was so.
Después dijo Dios: “Brote la tierra hierba verde, plantas que den semilla, árboles frutales que produzcan fruto según su especie y cuya semilla esté en ellos sobre la tierra”. Y así fue.
12 And the earth brought foorth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seede according to his kind, also the tree that beareth fruit, which hath his seed in it selfe according to his kinde: and God saw that it was good.
Brotó, pues, la tierra hierba verde, plantas que tenían en sí semilla según su especie, y árboles que producían frutos y cuya semilla se hallaba en ellos según su especie. Y vio Dios que estaba bien.
13 So the euening and the morning were the third day.
Y hubo tarde y hubo mañana: día tercero.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres.
Luego dijo Dios: “Haya lumbreras en el firmamento del cielo, que separen el día de la noche y sirvan de señales y (marquen) las estaciones, días y años.
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heauen to giue light vpon the earth: and it was so.
Sirvan también de lumbreras en el firmamento del cielo para alumbrar la tierra”. Y así fue.
16 God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres.
Hizo, pues, Dios las dos grandes lumbreras: la lumbrera mayor para presidir el día, y la lumbrera menor para presidir la noche, y las estrellas.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heauen, to shine vpon the earth,
Púsolas Dios en el firmamento del cielo para alumbrar la tierra,
18 And to rule in the day, and in the night, and to separate the light from the darkenesse: and God saw that it was good.
para regir el día y la noche y para separar la luz de las tinieblas. Y vio Dios que estaba bien.
19 So the euening and the morning were the fourth day.
Y hubo tarde y hubo mañana: día cuarto.
20 Afterward God said, Let the waters bring foorth in abundance euery creeping thing that hath life: and let the foule flie vpon the earth in the open firmament of the heauen.
Después dijo Dios: “Pululen las aguas multitud de seres vivientes; y vuelen aves sobre la tierra debajo del firmamento del cielo”.
21 Then God created the great whales, and euery thing liuing and mouing, which the waters brought foorth in abundance according to their kinde, and euery fethered foule according to his kinde: and God sawe that it was good.
Y creó Dios los grandes monstruos marinos, y todos los seres vivientes que marchan arrastrándose, de los cuales hierven las aguas, según su especie; y toda ave alada según su especie. Y vio Dios que estaba bien.
22 Then God blessed them, saying, Bring foorth fruite and multiplie, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the foule multiplie in the earth.
Y Dios los bendijo, diciendo: “Sed fecundos y multiplicaos y henchid las aguas en los mares; y multiplíquense las aves sobre la tierra”.
23 So the euening and the morning were the fifte day.
Y hubo tarde y hubo mañana: día quinto.
24 Moreouer God said, Let the earth bring foorth the liuing thing according to his kinde, cattel, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth, according to his kinde. and it was so.
Luego Dios dijo: “Produzca la tierra seres vivientes según su especie: animales domésticos, reptiles, bestias salvajes, según su especie”. Y así fue.
25 And God made the beast of the earth according to his kinde, and the cattell according to his kinde, and euery creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Hizo, pues, Dios las bestias salvajes según su especie, y los animales domésticos según su especie, y todo reptil de la tierra según su especie. Y vio Dios que estaba bien.
26 Furthermore God said, Let vs make man in our image according to our likenes, and let them rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer the beastes, and ouer all the earth, and ouer euery thing that creepeth and moueth on the earth.
Después dijo Dios: “Hagamos al hombre a imagen nuestra, según nuestra semejanza; y domine sobre los peces del mar y las aves del cielo, sobre las bestias domésticas, y sobre toda la tierra y todo reptil que se mueve sobre la tierra”.
27 Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them male and female.
Y creó Dios al hombre a imagen suya; a imagen de Dios lo creó; varón y mujer los creó.
28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Bring forth fruite and multiplie, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer euery beast that moueth vpon the earth.
Los bendijo Dios; y les dijo Dios: “Sed fecundos y multiplicaos, y henchid la tierra y sometedla; y dominad sobre los peces del mar y las aves del cielo, y sobre todos los animales que se mueven sobre la tierra”.
29 And God said, Beholde, I haue giuen vnto you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon al the earth, and euery tree, wherein is the fruite of a tree bearing seede: that shall be to you for meate.
Después dijo Dios: “He aquí que Yo os doy toda planta portadora de semilla sobre la superficie de toda la tierra, y todo árbol en que hay fruto de árbol con semilla, para que os sirvan de alimento.
30 Likewise to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the heauen, and to euery thing that moueth vpon the earth, which hath life in it selfe, euery greene herbe shall be for meate. and it was so.
Y a todos los animales de la tierra, y a todas las aves del cielo, y a todo lo que se mueve sobre la tierra, que tiene en sí aliento de vida, les doy para alimento toda hierba verde”. Y así fue.
31 And God sawe all that he had made, and loe, it was very good. So the euening and the morning were the sixt day.
Vio Dios todo cuanto había hecho; y he aquí que estaba muy bien. Y hubo tarde y hubo mañana: día sexto.
