+ Genesis 1 >
1 In the beginning God created the heauen and the earth.
Le gɔmedzedzea me la, Mawu wɔ dziƒo kple anyigba.
2 And the earth was without forme and void, and darkenesse was vpon the deepe, and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the waters.
Anyigba nɔ nyamaa, nɔnɔme aɖeke meli nɛ o. Ele ƒuƒlu, eye viviti do ɖe tsi gbana la dzi, eye Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ nɔ agba sam le tsia dzi.
3 Then God said, Let there be light: And there was light.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Kekeli nedo.” Eye kekeli do.
4 And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkenes.
Mawu kpɔ be kekeli la nyo, eye wòma kekeli la tso viviti la gbɔ.
5 And God called the Light, Day, and the darkenes, he called Night. So the euening and the morning were the first day.
Mawu yɔ kekeli la be “ŋkeke,” eye wòyɔ viviti la be “zã.” Ale zã do, eye ŋu ke. Esiae nye ŋkeke gbãtɔ.
6 Againe God said, Let there be a firmament in the mids of the waters: and let it separate the waters from the waters.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Lilikpo nedo, eye wòama tsi si le lilikpo la te kple esi le lilikpo la tame la me. Eye wòva eme nenema.”
7 Then God made the firmament, and separated the waters, which were vnder the firmament, from the waters which were aboue the firmament: and it was so.
Ale Mawu wɔ lilikpo, eye wòma tsi si le lilikpo la te la ɖa tso esi le lilikpo la tame la gbɔ, eye wòva eme.
8 And God called the firmament Heauen. So the Euening and the morning were the second day.
Mawu yɔ lilikpo la be “dziƒo.” Zã do, eye ŋu ke. Esiae nye ŋkeke evelia.
9 God said againe, Let the waters vnder the heauen be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appeare. and it was so.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Mina tsi si le lilikpo la te la naƒo ƒu ɖe teƒe ɖeka be anyigba ƒe ƒuƒuiƒe nadze.” Eva eme nenema.
10 And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Mawu yɔ ƒuƒuiƒe la be “anyigba,” eye wòyɔ tsi siwo ƒo ƒu la be, “atsiaƒuwo.” Mawu kpɔe be enyo.
11 Then God said, Let the earth bud forth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seed, the fruitfull tree, which beareth fruite according to his kinde, which hath his seede in it selfe vpon the earth: and it was so.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Mina nuwo namie ɖe anyigba la dzi: ati tsekuwo kple ati siwo tsena, eye ku nɔa tsetseawo me wotɔxɛwotɔxɛe la.” Eva eme nenema.
12 And the earth brought foorth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seede according to his kind, also the tree that beareth fruit, which hath his seed in it selfe according to his kinde: and God saw that it was good.
Tete nuwo mie ɖe anyigba la dzi: ati siwo tsea ku wotɔxɛwotɔxɛe, eye Mawu kpɔe be enyo.
13 So the euening and the morning were the third day.
Zã do, eye ŋu ke. Esiae nye ŋkeke etɔ̃lia.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Mina akaɖiwo nanɔ dziŋgɔli la me be woama ŋkeke ɖa tso zã gbɔ, eye woanye dzesi siwo afia ɣeyiɣiwo, ŋkekewo kple ƒewo,
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heauen to giue light vpon the earth: and it was so.
eye woanye akaɖiwo le dziŋgɔli la me be woana kekeli anyigba.” Eye wòva eme nenema.
16 God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres.
Mawu wɔ nu keklẽ gã eve: ɣe kple ɣleti, be woaklẽ ɖe anyigba dzi. Eɖoe be nu keklẽ gãtɔ si nye ɣe la naklẽ le ŋkeke me, eye suetɔ si nye ɣleti la naklẽ le zã me. Ewɔ ɣletiviwo hã.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heauen, to shine vpon the earth,
Mawu tsɔ wo ɖo lilikpo la ŋu, be woana kekeli anyigba,
18 And to rule in the day, and in the night, and to separate the light from the darkenesse: and God saw that it was good.
aɖu zã kple ŋkeke dzi, eye woama kekeli ɖa tso viviti gbɔ. Nu sia dze Mawu ŋu.
19 So the euening and the morning were the fourth day.
Ale zã do, eye ŋu ke. Esiae nye ŋkeke enelia.
20 Afterward God said, Let the waters bring foorth in abundance euery creeping thing that hath life: and let the foule flie vpon the earth in the open firmament of the heauen.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Tɔmelãwo nedzi ɖe tsiawo me, eye xeviwo nedzo le yame le dziŋgɔli la ƒe ŋkume.”
21 Then God created the great whales, and euery thing liuing and mouing, which the waters brought foorth in abundance according to their kinde, and euery fethered foule according to his kinde: and God sawe that it was good.
Ale Mawu wɔ ƒumelã gãwo kple nu gbagbe siwo tana, eye wonɔa tsi me la ƒomevi vovovowo kple xevi siwo dzona la ƒomeviwo katã. Mawu kpɔe be enyo.
22 Then God blessed them, saying, Bring foorth fruite and multiplie, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the foule multiplie in the earth.
Mawu yra wo gblɔ be, “Midzi ne miasɔ gbɔ, miayɔ atsiaƒuwo me, eye miana xeviwo nasɔ gbɔ le anyigba dzi.”
23 So the euening and the morning were the fifte day.
Eye zã do, eye ŋu ke. Esiae nye ŋkeke atɔ̃lia.
24 Moreouer God said, Let the earth bring foorth the liuing thing according to his kinde, cattel, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth, according to his kinde. and it was so.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Anyigba nedzi lã kple nu gbagbe ɖe sia ɖe ƒomevi: nyiwo, nu tatawo kple gbemelã ɖe sia ɖe tɔgbi.” Eye wòva eme nenema.
25 And God made the beast of the earth according to his kinde, and the cattell according to his kinde, and euery creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Mawu wɔ lã wɔadãwo, nyi kple nu tatawo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe tɔgbi. Eye Mawu kpɔ be enyo.
26 Furthermore God said, Let vs make man in our image according to our likenes, and let them rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer the beastes, and ouer all the earth, and ouer euery thing that creepeth and moueth on the earth.
Mawu gblɔ be, “Mina míawɔ ame ɖe míaƒe nɔnɔme me, wòaɖi mí, eye wòaɖu ƒumelãwo, dziƒoxewo, aƒemelãwo kple gbemelãwo katã kpakple nu gbagbe siwo katã tana le anyigba dzi la dzi.”
27 Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them male and female.
Ale Mawu wɔ ame ɖe eya ŋutɔ ƒe nɔnɔme me. Mawu ƒe nɔnɔme me wòwɔ ame ɖo; ŋutsu kple nyɔnu wòwɔ.
28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Bring forth fruite and multiplie, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer euery beast that moueth vpon the earth.
Mawu yra wo gblɔ na wo be, “Midzi miayɔ anyigba blibo la dzi, eye miaɖu edzi; miawoe nye tɔmelãwo, dziƒoxewo kple lã siwo katã tana le anyigba dzi la dzi ɖulawo.”
29 And God said, Beholde, I haue giuen vnto you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon al the earth, and euery tree, wherein is the fruite of a tree bearing seede: that shall be to you for meate.
Mawu gagblɔ be “Metsɔ nu miemie siwo tsea ku le anyigba blibo la dzi kple ati tsekuwo na mi abe miaƒe nuɖuɖu ene.
30 Likewise to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the heauen, and to euery thing that moueth vpon the earth, which hath life in it selfe, euery greene herbe shall be for meate. and it was so.
Metsɔ gbewo kple atiwo katã na lãwo kple xeviwo kple nu siwo katã tana, siwo me agbe le, le anyigba dzi abe woƒe nuɖuɖu ene.” Eye wòva me nenema.
31 And God sawe all that he had made, and loe, it was very good. So the euening and the morning were the sixt day.
Mawu lé ŋku ɖe nu siwo katã wòwɔ la ŋu, eye wòkpɔe be wonyo ŋutɔ. Zã do, eye ŋu ke. Esiae nye ŋkeke adelia.
