Genesis 9
1 And God blessed Noah and his sonnes, and said to them, Bring foorth fruite, and multiplie, and replenish the earth.
Bondye beni Noe ak pitit li yo, li di yo. Fè pitit, fè anpil anpil pitit mete sou tè a.
2 Also the feare of you, and the dread of you shalbe vpon euery beast of the earth, and vpon euery foule of the heauen, vpon all that moueth on the earth, and vpon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they deliuered.
Se pou tout zannimo sou latè, tout zwazo ki nan syèl la, tout bèt vivan ki sou latè, tout pwason ki nan lanmè bese tèt devan nou. Se pou yo pè nou. Mwen ban nou pouvwa sou yo tout.
3 Euery thing that moueth and liueth, shall be meate for you: as the greene herbe, haue I giuen you all things.
Koulye a, nou gen dwa manje tout kalite bèt vivan k'ap mache, tout kalite fèy vèt. Mwen ban nou tout pou manje.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, I meane, with the blood thereof, shall ye not eate.
Tansèlman, se pa pou n' manje vyann ak tout san ladan l', paske san yon bèt se nanm li.
5 For surely I will require your blood, wherein your liues are: at the hand of euery beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, euen at the hand of a mans brother will I require the life of man.
Konprann sa byen: si yon moun touye nou, m'ap fè l' rann mwen kont. M'ap fè tout bèt ki touye nou rann mwen kont. tout moun ki touye moun parèy yo gen pou rann mwen kont.
6 Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.
Si yon moun touye yon moun, yon lòt moun gen pou touye l' tou, paske Bondye kreye moun pòtre ak li.
7 But bring ye forth fruite and multiplie: grow plentifully in the earth, and increase therein.
Nou menm, se pou nou fè pitit, anpil pitit. Gaye kò nou toupatou sou latè, pou pitit nou yo toujou fè anpil pitit tou.
8 God spake also to Noah and to his sonnes with him, saying,
Bondye pale ankò ak Noe ansanm ak pitit li yo, li di yo:
9 Behold, I, euen I establish my couenant with you, and with your seede after you,
-Men m'ap pase yon kontra ak nou tout ansanm ak tout pitit pitit k'ap vin apre nou yo.
10 And with euery liuing creature that is with you, with the foule, with the cattell, and with euery beast of the earth with you, from all that goe out of the Arke, vnto euery beast of the earth.
M'ap pase kontra a ak tout bèt vivan ki la avèk nou yo, zwazo, zannimo domestik, bèt nan bwa, avèk tout sa ki soti nan batiman an pou peple sou latè ankò.
11 And my couenant will I establish with you, that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by ye waters of the flood, neither shall there be a flood to destroy the earth any more.
Wi, m'ap pase kontra mwen ak nou: mwen pwomèt pou m' pa janm voye gwo inondasyon ankò pou detwi tout moun ak tout bèt vivan yo. Konsa, p'ap janm gen gwo inondasyon ankò pou ravaje latè.
12 Then God saide, This is the token of the couenant which I make betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing, that is with you vnto perpetuall generations.
Bondye di ankò-Kontra m'ap pase avèk nou ansanm ak tout bèt vivan ki la avèk nou yo, se yon kontra k'ap la pou tout tan. M'ap ban nou yon siy pou li.
13 I haue set my bowe in the cloude, and it shalbe for a signe of the couenant betweene me and the earth.
M'ap mete lakansyèl mwen nan syèl la. Men siy m'ap ban nou pou kontra mwen pase ak latè a.
14 And when I shall couer the earth with a cloud, and the bowe shall be seene in the cloude,
Chak fwa m'a fè nwaj yo konmanse sanble, lakansyèl la va parèt nan syèl la.
15 Then will I remember my couenant, which is betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing in all flesh, and there shalbe no more waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.
Lè sa a, m'a chonje kontra mwen te fè avèk nou ansanm avèk tout kalite bèt vivan yo. p'ap janm gen gwo inondasyon ankò ki pou detwi tout moun ak tout bèt k'ap viv sou latè.
16 Therefore the bowe shalbe in the cloude, that I may see it, and remember the euerlasting couenant betweene God, and euery liuing thing in all flesh that is vpon the earth.
Lè lakansyèl la va parèt nan syèl la, m'a wè l', m'a chonje kontra mwen te pase pou tout tan ak tout moun ansanm ak tout kalite bèt k'ap viv sou latè.
17 God said yet to Noah, This is the signe of the couenant, which I haue established betweene me and all flesh that is vpon the earth.
Sa se siy kontra mwen pase ak tout moun ansanm ak tout bèt k'ap viv sou latè. Se konsa Bondye te pale ak Noe.
18 Nowe the sonnes of Noah going foorth of the Arke, were Shem and Ham and Iapheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.
Men non pitit Noe yo ki te soti nan batiman an: Sèm, Kam ak Jafè. Kam se te papa Kanaran.
19 These are the three sonnes of Noah, and of them was the whole earth ouerspred.
Se twa pitit Noe sa yo ki peple mete moun sou tout latè.
20 Noah also began to be an husband man and planted a vineyard.
Noe se premye moun ki travay latè. Li plante yon jaden rezen.
21 And he drunke of ye wine and was drunken, and was vncouered in the middes of his tent.
Yon jou, apre li te fin bwè diven, li sou. Li wete tout rad sou li, li kouche toutouni anba tant li.
22 And when Ham the father of Canaan sawe the nakednesse of his father, he tolde his two brethren without.
Lè Kam, papa Kanaran, wè papa l' toutouni, li ale di de frè l' yo sa.
23 Then tooke Shem and Iapheth a garment, and put it vpon both their shoulders, and went backwarde, and couered the nakednesse of their father with their faces backwarde: so they sawe not their fathers nakednesse.
Men, Sèm ak Jafè pran yon gwo rad, yo chak pran yon bout, yo pase l' dèyè do yo, yo kenbe l' anwo zepòl yo. Yo mache pa do, yo antre, yo kouvri papa yo san yo pa janm vire tèt yo gade dèyè. Konsa yo pa wè papa yo toutouni.
24 Then Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his yonger sonne had done vnto him,
Lè Noe soti anba toudisman diven l' lan, yo di l' sa dezyèm pitit gason l' lan te fè l'.
25 And said, Cursed be Canaan: a seruant of seruants shall he be vnto his brethren.
Li di. Madichon pou Kanaran! Se pou l' tounen dènye klas esklav frè l' yo.
26 He said moreouer, blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
Li di ankò. Lwanj pou Seyè a, Bondye Sèm lan. Se pou Kanaran tounen esklav Sèm.
27 God perswade Iapheth, that he may dwell in the tentes of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
Se pou Bondye mete sou byen Jafè yo. Se pou pitit pitit Jafè yo viv byen ak pitit Sèm yo. Se pou Kanaran tounen esklav yo.
28 And Noah liued after the flood three hundreth and fiftie yeeres.
Apre gwo inondasyon an, Noe viv twasansenkantan (350 an).
29 So all the dayes of Noah were nine hundreth and fiftie yeeres: and he died.
Lè l' mouri, li te gen nèfsansenkantan (950 an).
