Genesis 9
1 And God blessed Noah and his sonnes, and said to them, Bring foorth fruite, and multiplie, and replenish the earth.
૧પછી ઈશ્વરે નૂહને તથા તેના દીકરાઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો અને તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “સફળ થાઓ, વધો અને પૃથ્વીને ભરપૂર કરો.
2 Also the feare of you, and the dread of you shalbe vpon euery beast of the earth, and vpon euery foule of the heauen, vpon all that moueth on the earth, and vpon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they deliuered.
૨પૃથ્વીના દરેક પશુ પર, આકાશના દરેક પક્ષી પર, પૃથ્વી પર પેટે ચાલનારાં દરેક અને સમુદ્રનાં દરેક માછલાં તમારાથી બીશે અને ડરશે. તેઓને તમારા હાથમાં આપવામાં આવેલા છે.
3 Euery thing that moueth and liueth, shall be meate for you: as the greene herbe, haue I giuen you all things.
૩પૃથ્વી પર ચાલનારાં બધા પશુ તમારે સારુ ખોરાક થશે. જે પ્રમાણે મેં તમને લીલાં શાક આપ્યાં છે તે પ્રમાણે હવે હું તમને સઘળું બક્ષુ છું.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, I meane, with the blood thereof, shall ye not eate.
૪પણ તેનું માંસ તમારે જીવ એટલે લોહી સહિત ન ખાવું.
5 For surely I will require your blood, wherein your liues are: at the hand of euery beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, euen at the hand of a mans brother will I require the life of man.
૫હું નિશ્ચે તમારા લોહીનો બદલો માગીશ. દરેક પશુ પાસેથી હું બદલો લઈશ. કોઈપણ માણસના હાથ પાસેથી, એટલે કે, જે હાથે તેણે પોતાના ભાઈની હત્યા કરી છે, તેના જીવનો બદલો હું માંગીશ.
6 Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.
૬જે કોઈ માણસનું લોહી વહેવડાવે, તેનું લોહી પણ માણસથી વહેવડાવાશે, કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે પોતાની પ્રતિમા પ્રમાણે માણસને ઉત્પન્ન કર્યું છે.
7 But bring ye forth fruite and multiplie: grow plentifully in the earth, and increase therein.
૭તમે સફળ થાઓ, આખી પૃથ્વી પર વંશવૃદ્ધિ કરો અને વધતા જાઓ.”
8 God spake also to Noah and to his sonnes with him, saying,
૮પછી ઈશ્વરે નૂહ સાથે તથા તેના દીકરાઓ સાથે વાત કરતા કહ્યું,
9 Behold, I, euen I establish my couenant with you, and with your seede after you,
૯“હું જે કહું છું તે સાંભળો! હું તારી સાથે તથા તારી પાછળ આવનાર સંતાનો સાથે મારો કરાર સ્થાપન કરીશ.
10 And with euery liuing creature that is with you, with the foule, with the cattell, and with euery beast of the earth with you, from all that goe out of the Arke, vnto euery beast of the earth.
૧૦અને તમારી સાથે પક્ષી, પશુ અને પૃથ્વી પરનાં સર્વ જાનવર તે સર્વની સાથે હું મારો કરાર સ્થાપન કરું છું.
11 And my couenant will I establish with you, that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by ye waters of the flood, neither shall there be a flood to destroy the earth any more.
૧૧તમારી સાથે હું મારો કરાર સ્થાપન કરું છું કે, હવે પછી ફરી જળપ્રલયથી સર્વ માનવજાતનો નાશ થશે નહિ. પૃથ્વીનો નાશ કરવાને ફરી કદી જળપ્રલય થશે નહિ.
12 Then God saide, This is the token of the couenant which I make betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing, that is with you vnto perpetuall generations.
૧૨ઈશ્વરે કહ્યું, “મારી તથા તમારી વચ્ચે તથા તમારી સાથે જે દરેક સજીવ પ્રાણી છે તેની સાથે તથા ભાવિ પેઢીને સારુ કર્યો છે તે કરારનું આ ચિહ્ન છે:
13 I haue set my bowe in the cloude, and it shalbe for a signe of the couenant betweene me and the earth.
૧૩મેં મારું મેઘધનુષ્ય વાદળમાં મૂક્યું છે અને તે મારા તથા પૃથ્વી વચ્ચેના કરારની ચિહ્નરૂપ થશે.
14 And when I shall couer the earth with a cloud, and the bowe shall be seene in the cloude,
૧૪જયારે પૃથ્વી પર હું વરસાદ વરસાવીશ ત્યારે એમ થશે કે વાદળમાં મેઘધનુષ્ય દેખાશે,
15 Then will I remember my couenant, which is betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing in all flesh, and there shalbe no more waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.
૧૫ત્યારે મારી અને તમારી તથા સર્વ સાથે કરેલો કરારનું હું સ્મરણ કરીશ. સર્વ સજીવોનો નાશ કરવાને માટે ફરી કદી જળપ્રલય થશે નહિ.
16 Therefore the bowe shalbe in the cloude, that I may see it, and remember the euerlasting couenant betweene God, and euery liuing thing in all flesh that is vpon the earth.
૧૬મેઘધનુષ્ય વાદળમાં દેખાશે અને ઈશ્વર પૃથ્વીનાં સર્વ સજીવ પ્રાણીની વચ્ચે, જે સર્વકાળનો કરાર છે તે યાદ રાખવાને હું ધનુષ્યની સામે જોઈશ.”
17 God said yet to Noah, This is the signe of the couenant, which I haue established betweene me and all flesh that is vpon the earth.
૧૭પછી ઈશ્વરે નૂહને કહ્યું, “મારી તથા પૃથ્વી પરના સર્વ સજીવોની વચ્ચે જે કરાર મેં સ્થાપિત કર્યો છે તેનું આ ચિહ્ન છે.”
18 Nowe the sonnes of Noah going foorth of the Arke, were Shem and Ham and Iapheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.
૧૮નૂહના દીકરા જેઓ વહાણમાંથી બહાર આવ્યા તે શેમ, હામ તથા યાફેથ હતા. હામ કનાનનો પિતા હતો.
19 These are the three sonnes of Noah, and of them was the whole earth ouerspred.
૧૯નૂહના આ ત્રણ દીકરાઓ હતા. તેઓથી આખી પૃથ્વી પર વસ્તી થઈ.
20 Noah also began to be an husband man and planted a vineyard.
૨૦નૂહ ખેતી કરવા લાગ્યો અને તેણે દ્રાક્ષવાડી રોપી.
21 And he drunke of ye wine and was drunken, and was vncouered in the middes of his tent.
૨૧તેણે દ્રાક્ષાસવ પીધો અને તેને નશો ચઢ્યો હોવાથી તે તેના તંબુમાં નિર્વસ્ત્ર સ્થિતિમાં જ સૂઈ ગયો.
22 And when Ham the father of Canaan sawe the nakednesse of his father, he tolde his two brethren without.
૨૨કનાનના પિતા હામે તેના પિતાને નિર્વસ્ત્ર અવસ્થામાં જોયા અને બહાર જઈને તેના બન્ને ભાઈઓને તે વિષે કહ્યું.
23 Then tooke Shem and Iapheth a garment, and put it vpon both their shoulders, and went backwarde, and couered the nakednesse of their father with their faces backwarde: so they sawe not their fathers nakednesse.
૨૩તેથી શેમ તથા યાફેથે એક વસ્ત્ર લીધું, તેને તેમના બન્ને ખભા પર નાખ્યું અને તેઓએ પાછા પગલે ચાલીને તેમના પિતાના શરીરને ઓઢાડ્યું. તેઓનાં મુખ બીજી તરફ ફેરવેલાં હતાં તેથી તેઓને પિતાની નિર્વસ્ત્ર અવસ્થા દેખાઈ નહિ.
24 Then Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his yonger sonne had done vnto him,
૨૪જયારે નૂહ નશામાંથી જાગ્યો ત્યારે તેના નાના દીકરાએ તેની સાથે જે કર્યું હતું તે તેણે જાણ્યું.
25 And said, Cursed be Canaan: a seruant of seruants shall he be vnto his brethren.
૨૫તેથી તેણે કહ્યું કે, “કનાન શાપિત થાય. દાસોનો દાસ તે તેના ભાઈઓને સારુ થશે.”
26 He said moreouer, blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
૨૬તેણે કહ્યું કે, “ઈશ્વર, શેમના પ્રભુની સ્તુતિ થાઓ. કનાન તેનો દાસ થાઓ.
27 God perswade Iapheth, that he may dwell in the tentes of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
૨૭યાફેથને યહોવાહ વૃદ્ધિ આપો, અને તે શેમના તંબુમાં તેનું ઘર બનાવે. કનાન તેનો દાસ થાઓ.”
28 And Noah liued after the flood three hundreth and fiftie yeeres.
૨૮જળપ્રલય પછી નૂહ ત્રણસો પચાસ વર્ષ જીવ્યો.
29 So all the dayes of Noah were nine hundreth and fiftie yeeres: and he died.
૨૯નૂહનો સર્વ દિવસ નવસો પચાસ વર્ષનો હતો અને તે મરણ પામ્યો.
