Genesis 9
1 And God blessed Noah and his sonnes, and said to them, Bring foorth fruite, and multiplie, and replenish the earth.
Dieu bénit Noé et ses fils, et il leur dit: Croissez et multipliez, remplissez la terre et dominez sur elle.
2 Also the feare of you, and the dread of you shalbe vpon euery beast of the earth, and vpon euery foule of the heauen, vpon all that moueth on the earth, and vpon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they deliuered.
Vous inspirerez crainte et terreur à toutes les bêtes fauves de la terre, aux oiseaux du ciel, à tout ce qui se meut sur la terre, et à tous les poissons de la mer. Je les livre à vos mains.
3 Euery thing that moueth and liueth, shall be meate for you: as the greene herbe, haue I giuen you all things.
Tout ce qui se meut et a vie vous servira d'aliment; je vous donne de même, dans les champs, toute plante potagère.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, I meane, with the blood thereof, shall ye not eate.
Cependant, vous ne mangerez pas de chair ayant encore le sang et la vie.
5 For surely I will require your blood, wherein your liues are: at the hand of euery beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, euen at the hand of a mans brother will I require the life of man.
Car votre sang, le sang de votre vie, je le rechercherai jusque dans les griffes des bêtes fauves, et je rechercherai la vie de l'homme jusque dans les mains de l'homme son frère.
6 Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.
Celui qui versera le sang de l'homme, le versera au prix de son propre sang, parce que j'ai créé l'homme à l'image de Dieu.
7 But bring ye forth fruite and multiplie: grow plentifully in the earth, and increase therein.
Mais croissez et multipliez, remplissez la terre, et dominez sur elle.
8 God spake also to Noah and to his sonnes with him, saying,
Et Dieu parla à Noé et à ses fils, disant:
9 Behold, I, euen I establish my couenant with you, and with your seede after you,
Je rétablis mon alliance avec vous, avec votre postérité,
10 And with euery liuing creature that is with you, with the foule, with the cattell, and with euery beast of the earth with you, from all that goe out of the Arke, vnto euery beast of the earth.
Avec toute âme vivante, oiseaux et bestiaux, et avec toutes les bêtes fauves de la terre qui sont sorties de l'arche avec vous.
11 And my couenant will I establish with you, that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by ye waters of the flood, neither shall there be a flood to destroy the earth any more.
J'établirai mon alliance en votre faveur; la chair ne périra pas de nouveau par le déluge, et il n'y aura plus de déluge qui détruise la terre.
12 Then God saide, This is the token of the couenant which I make betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing, that is with you vnto perpetuall generations.
Et le Seigneur Dieu dit à Noé: Voici le signe de l'alliance que j'établis entre moi et vous et toute âme vivante, pour toutes les races futures:
13 I haue set my bowe in the cloude, and it shalbe for a signe of the couenant betweene me and the earth.
Je place mon arc dans la nue, et il sera le signe de mon alliance avec la terre.
14 And when I shall couer the earth with a cloud, and the bowe shall be seene in the cloude,
Lorsque je rassemblerai les nuées sur la terre, l'arc paraîtra dans la nue.
15 Then will I remember my couenant, which is betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing in all flesh, and there shalbe no more waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.
Et je me souviendrai de mon alliance avec vous et avec toute âme vivante et toute chair, et il n'y aura plus de déluge qui détruise toute chair.
16 Therefore the bowe shalbe in the cloude, that I may see it, and remember the euerlasting couenant betweene God, and euery liuing thing in all flesh that is vpon the earth.
Mon arc sera dans la nue; et à sa vue je me souviendrai de l'alliance éternelle entre moi et la terre, et toute âme vivante et toute chair qui est sur la terre.
17 God said yet to Noah, This is the signe of the couenant, which I haue established betweene me and all flesh that is vpon the earth.
Dieu dit à Noé: Tel est le signe de l'alliance que j'ai établie entre moi et toute chair qui est sur la terre.
18 Nowe the sonnes of Noah going foorth of the Arke, were Shem and Ham and Iapheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.
Or, les fils de Noé qui sortirent de l'arche étaient Sem, Cham et Japhet; Cham fut le père de Chanaan.
19 These are the three sonnes of Noah, and of them was the whole earth ouerspred.
Tels sont les trois fils de Noé, pères des hommes qui furent semés sur toute la terre.
20 Noah also began to be an husband man and planted a vineyard.
Noé commença à travailler à la terre, et il planta une vigne.
21 And he drunke of ye wine and was drunken, and was vncouered in the middes of his tent.
Et il but du vin, et, s'étant enivré, il se mit nu en sa demeure.
22 And when Ham the father of Canaan sawe the nakednesse of his father, he tolde his two brethren without.
Or, Cham, le père de Chanaan, vit la nudité de son père, et il s'en alla le dire à ses deux frères au dehors.
23 Then tooke Shem and Iapheth a garment, and put it vpon both their shoulders, and went backwarde, and couered the nakednesse of their father with their faces backwarde: so they sawe not their fathers nakednesse.
Mais Sem et Japhet ayant pris un manteau, l'étendirent ensemble sur leurs épaules, s'approchèrent à reculons, et cachèrent la nudité de leur père; leur visage regardait à l'opposé, et ils ne virent point la nudité de leur père.
24 Then Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his yonger sonne had done vnto him,
Or, Noé, étant sorti du sommeil causé par le vin, apprit ce qu'avait fait à son sujet son fils puîné.
25 And said, Cursed be Canaan: a seruant of seruants shall he be vnto his brethren.
Et il dit: Maudit soit l'esclave Chanaan; il sera le serviteur de ses frères.
26 He said moreouer, blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
Il dit ensuite: Béni soit le Seigneur, le Dieu de Sem, et l'esclave Chanaan sera serviteur de Sem.
27 God perswade Iapheth, that he may dwell in the tentes of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
Que Dieu multiplie Japhet, que celui-ci habite sous les tentes de Sem, et que Chanaan soit son esclave.
28 And Noah liued after the flood three hundreth and fiftie yeeres.
Noé vécut, après le déluge, trois cent cinquante ans.
29 So all the dayes of Noah were nine hundreth and fiftie yeeres: and he died.
Et tous les jours de Noé formèrent neuf cent cinquante ans, et il mourut.
