Genesis 7
1 And the Lord said vnto Noah, Enter thou and all thine house into the Arke: for thee haue I seene righteous before me in this age.
Waaqayyos Nohiin akkana jedhe; “Ani akka ati dhaloota kana keessaa na duratti qajeelaa taate argeeraatii maatii kee hundumaa wajjin doonicha seeni.
2 Of euery cleane beast thou shalt take to thee by seuens, the male and his female: but of vncleane beastes by couples, the male and his female.
Bineensa qulqulluu gosa hunda keessaa kormaa fi dhalaa cimdii torba, bineensa qulqulluu hin taʼin gosa hunda keessaa cimdii tokko,
3 Of the foules also of the heauen by seuens, male and female, to keepe seede aliue vpon the whole earth.
gosa simbirrootaa hunda keessaa illee akka sanyiin lafa hunda irratti hafee jiraatuuf kormaa fi dhalaa cimdii torba fudhadhuu seeni.
4 For seuen dayes hence I will cause it raine vpon the earth fourtie dayes and fourtie nightes, and all the substance that I haue made, will I destroy from off the earth.
Ani guyyaa torba booddee halkan afurtamaa fi guyyaa afurtama bokkaa nan roobsa; uumama jiraataa ani mataan koo uume hunda lafa irraa nan haxaaʼa.”
5 Noah therefore did according vnto all that the Lord commanded him.
Nohis waan Waaqayyo isa ajaje hunda ni hojjete.
6 And Noah was sixe hundreth yeeres olde, when the flood of waters was vpon the earth.
Yeroo bishaan badiisaa dhufetti Nohi nama waggaa dhibba jaʼa ture.
7 So Noah entred and his sonnes, and his wife, and his sonnes wiues with him into the Arke, because of the waters of the flood.
Nohii fi ilmaan isaa, niitii isaatii fi niitonni ilmaan isaa bishaan badiisaa jalaa baʼuuf doonii seenan.
8 Of the cleane beastes, and of the vncleane beastes, and of the foules, and of all that creepeth vpon the earth,
Bineensonni qulqulluu fi kan qulqulluu hin taʼin, simbirroonnii fi uumamawwan lafa irra munyuuqan hundi, cimdii cimdiidhaan,
9 There came two and two vnto Noah into the Arke, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
kormaa fi dhalaan gara Nohi dhufanii akkuma Waaqni Nohiin ajajetti doonicha seenan.
10 And so after seuen dayes the waters of the flood were vpon the earth.
Guyyaa torba booddee bishaan badiisaa lolaʼee lafa guute.
11 In the sixe hundreth yeere of Noahs life in the second moneth, the seuetenth day of the moneth, in the same day were all the fountaines of the great deepe broken vp, and the windowes of heauen were opened,
Bara jireenya Nohi waggaa dhibba jaʼaffaa keessa, jiʼa lammaffaatti, jiʼa sana keessaas guyyaa kudha torbaffaatti burqaawwan tuujuba gurguddaa hundi ni dhoʼan; foddaawwan bishaan samiis ni banaman.
12 And the raine was vpon the earth fourtie dayes and fourtie nightes.
Bokkaanis guyyaa afurtamaa fi halkan afurtama lafatti roobe.
13 In the selfe same day entred Noah with Shem, and Ham and Iapheth, the sonnes of Noah, and Noahs wife, and the three wiues of his sonnes with them into the Arke.
Guyyuma sana Nohii fi ilmaan isaa, Seem, Haamii fi Yaafet, niitii isaatii fi niitota ilmaan isaa sadanii wajjin doonicha seenan.
14 They and euery beast after his kinde, and all cattell after their kinde, and euery thing that creepeth and moueth vpon the earth after his kinde, and euery foule after his kinde, euen euery bird of euery fether.
Isaanis bineensota hunda, akkuma gosa isaaniitti, horii hunda akkuma gosa isaaniitti, uumamawwan lafa irra munyuuqan hundaa fi simbirroota hunda akkuma gosa isaaniitti, waan qoochoo qabu hundas of faana fudhatanii seenan.
15 For they came to Noah into ye Arke, two and two, of all flesh wherein is ye breath of life.
Uumamawwan hafuura jireenyaa of keessaa qaban hundinuus cimdii cimdiidhaan gara Nohi dhufanii doonicha seenan.
16 And they entring in, came male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
Bineensonni akkuma Waaqni Nohin ajajetti dooniitti galan kormaa fi dhalaa uumamawwan lubbu qabeeyyii hundaa turan; ergasii immoo Waaqayyo alaan itti cufe.
17 Then ye flood was fourtie dayes vpon the earth, and the waters were increased, and bare vp the Arke, which was lift vp aboue the earth.
Bishaan badiisaas ittuma fufee guyyaa afurtamaaf lafa irra ture; bishaan sunis dabalaa deemee doonii sana lafa irraa ol kaase.
18 The waters also waxed strong, and were increased exceedingly vpon the earth, and the Arke went vpon the waters.
Bishaanichis ol kaʼee lafa irratti akka malee baayʼate; dooniin sunis bishaanicha irra deeme.
19 The waters preuailed so exceedingly vpon the earth, that all the high mountaines, that are vnder the whole heauen, were couered.
Bishaanichis akka malee ol kaʼaa deemee tulluuwwan samii jala jiran hunda haguuge.
20 Fifteene cubites vpwarde did the waters preuaile, when the mountaines were couered.
Bishaanichi dhundhuma kudha shan caalaa ol kaʼuudhaan tulluuwwan dhokse.
21 Then all flesh perished that moued vpon the earth, both foule and cattell and beast, and euery thing that creepeth and moueth vpon the earth, and euery man.
Uumamawwan lubbu qabeeyyiin lafa irra jiraatan hundi jechuunis, simbirroonni, horiin, bineensonni, uumamawwan lafa irra munyuuqan hundii fi namoonni hundi ni barbadaaʼan.
22 Euery thing in whose nostrels the spirit of life did breathe, whatsoeuer they were in the drie land, they died.
Wanni lafa gogaa irra jiraatu kan funyaan isaatiin hafuura jireenyaa baafatu hundinuu ni duʼe.
23 So he destroyed euery thing that was vpon the earth, from man to beast, to ye creeping thing, and to the foule of the heauen: they were euen destroyed from the earth. And Noah onely remained; and they that were with him in ye Arke.
Uumamawwan lubbu qabeeyyiin lafa irra jiraatan hundinuu ni haxaaʼaman; namnii fi horiin, uumamawwan lafa irra munyuuqanii fi simbirroonni samii, lafa irraa ni haxaaʼaman. Nohii fi warra isa wajjin doonii keessa turan qofattu hafe.
24 And the waters preuailed vpon the earth an hundreth and fiftie dayes.
Bishaan sunis bultii dhibba tokkoo fi shantama lafa irra lolaʼe.
