Genesis 6
1 So when men began to be multiplied vpon the earth, and there were daughters borne vnto them,
E aconteceu que, como os homens se começaram a multiplicar sobre a face da terra, e lhes nasceram filhas;
2 Then the sonnes of God sawe the daughters of men that they were faire, and they tooke them wiues of all that they liked.
Viram os filhos de Deus que as filhas dos homens eram formosas; e tomaram para si mulheres de todas as que escolheram.
3 Therefore the Lord saide, My Spirit shall not alway striue with man, because he is but flesh, and his dayes shalbe an hundreth and twentie yeeres.
Então disse o Senhor: Não contenderá o meu espírito para sempre com o homem; porque ele também é carne: porém os seus dias serão cento e vinte anos
4 There were gyants in the earth in those dayes: yea, and after that the sonnes of God came vnto the daughters of men, and they had borne them children, these were mightie men, which in olde time were men of renoume.
Havia naqueles dias gigantes na terra; e também depois, quando os filhos de Deus entraram às filhas dos homens, e delas geraram filhos: estes eram os valentes que houve na antiguidade, os varões de fama.
5 When the Lord sawe that the wickednesse of man was great in the earth, and all the imaginations of the thoughtes of his heart were onely euill continually,
E viu o Senhor que a maldade do homem se multiplicara sobre a terra, e que toda a imaginação dos pensamentos de seu coração era só má continuamente.
6 Then it repented ye Lord, that he had made man in the earth, and he was sorie in his heart.
Então arrependeu-se o Senhor de haver feito o homem sobre a terra, e pezou-lhe em seu coração.
7 Therefore ye Lord said, I will destroy from the earth the man, whom I haue created, from man to beast, to the creeping thing, and to the foule of the heauen: for I repent that I haue made them.
E disse o Senhor: Destruirei o homem que criei de sobre a face da terra, desde o homem até ao animal, até ao réptil, e até à ave dos céus; porque me arrependo de os haver feito.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Noé porém achou graça aos olhos do Senhor.
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a iust and vpright man in his time: and Noah walked with God.
Estas são as gerações de Noé: Noé era varão justo e reto em suas gerações: Noé andava com Deus
10 And Noah begate three sonnes, Shem, Ham and Iapheth.
E gerou Noé três filhos: Sem, Cão, e Japhet.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God: for the earth was filled with crueltie.
A terra porém estava corrompida diante da face de Deus: e encheu-se a terra de violência.
12 Then God looked vpon the earth, and beholde, it was corrupt: for all flesh had corrupt his way vpon the earth.
E viu Deus a terra, e eis que estava corrompida; porque toda a carne havia corrompido o seu caminho sobre a terra.
13 And God said vnto Noah, An ende of all flesh is come before me: for the earth is filled with crueltie through them: and beholde, I wil destroy them with the earth.
Então disse Deus a Noé: O fim de toda a carne é vindo perante a minha face; porque a terra está cheia de violência; e eis que os desfarei com a terra.
14 Make thee an Arke of pine trees: thou shalt make cabines in the Arke, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
Faze para ti uma arca da madeira de Gopher: farás compartimentos na arca, e a betumarás por dentro e por fora com betume.
15 And thus shalt thou make it: The length of the Arke shalbe three hundreth cubites, the breadth of it fiftie cubites, and the height of it thirtie cubites.
E desta maneira a farás: De trezentos côvados o comprimento da arca, e de cincoênta côvados a sua largura, e de trinta côvados a sua altura.
16 A windowe shalt thou make in the Arke, and in a cubite shalt thou finish it aboue, and the doore of the Arke shalt thou set in the side thereof: thou shalt make it with the lowe, seconde and third roume.
Farás na arca uma janela, e de um côvado a acabarás em cima; e a porta da arca porás ao seu lado; far-lhe-ás andares baixos, segundos e terceiros.
17 And I, beholde, I will bring a flood of waters vpon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life vnder the heauen: all that is in the earth shall perish.
Porque eis que Eu trago um dilúvio de águas sobre a terra, para desfazer toda a carne em que há espírito de vida debaixo dos céus: tudo o que há na terra expirará.
18 But with thee will I establish my couenant, and thou shalt goe into the Arke, thou, and thy sonnes, and thy wife, and thy sonnes wiues with thee.
Mas contigo estabelecerei o meu pacto; e entrarás na arca tu e os teus filhos, e a tua mulher, e as mulheres de teus filhos contigo.
19 And of euery liuing thing, of all flesh two of euery sort shalt thou cause to come into the Arke, to keepe them aliue with thee: they shalbe male and female.
E de tudo o que vive, de toda a carne, dois de cada espécie, meterás na arca, para os conservar vivos contigo; macho e fêmea serão.
20 Of the foules, after their kinde, and of the cattell after their kind, of euery creeping thing of the earth after his kinde, two of euery sort shall come vnto thee, that thou mayest keepe them aliue.
Das aves conforme a sua espécie, e das bestas conforme a sua espécie, de todo o réptil da terra conforme a sua espécie, dois de cada espécie virão a ti, para os conservar em vida.
21 And take thou with thee of all meate that is eaten: and thou shalt gather it to thee, that it may be meate for thee and for them.
E tu toma para ti de toda a comida que se come, e ajunta-a para ti; e te será para mantimento para ti e para eles.
22 Noah therefore did according vnto all, that God commanded him: euen so did he.
Assim fez Noé: conforme a tudo o que Deus lhe mandou, assim o fez.
