Genesis 6
1 So when men began to be multiplied vpon the earth, and there were daughters borne vnto them,
| و واقع شد که چون آدمیان شروع کردندبه زیاد شدن بر روی زمین و دختران برای ایشان متولد گردیدند، | ۱ |
2 Then the sonnes of God sawe the daughters of men that they were faire, and they tooke them wiues of all that they liked.
| پسران خدا دختران آدمیان را دیدند که نیکومنظرند، و از هر کدام که خواستند، زنان برای خویشتن می‌گرفتند. | ۲ |
3 Therefore the Lord saide, My Spirit shall not alway striue with man, because he is but flesh, and his dayes shalbe an hundreth and twentie yeeres.
| وخداوند گفت: «روح من در انسان دائم داوری نخواهد کرد، زیرا که او نیز بشر است. لیکن ایام وی صد و بیست سال خواهد بود.» | ۳ |
4 There were gyants in the earth in those dayes: yea, and after that the sonnes of God came vnto the daughters of men, and they had borne them children, these were mightie men, which in olde time were men of renoume.
| و در آن ایام مردان تنومند در زمین بودند. و بعد از هنگامی که پسران خدا به دختران آدمیان در‌آمدند و آنهابرای ایشان اولاد زاییدند، ایشان جبارانی بودندکه در زمان سلف، مردان نامور شدند. | ۴ |
5 When the Lord sawe that the wickednesse of man was great in the earth, and all the imaginations of the thoughtes of his heart were onely euill continually,
| و خداونددید که شرارت انسان در زمین بسیار است، و هرتصور از خیالهای دل وی دائم محض شرارت است. | ۵ |
6 Then it repented ye Lord, that he had made man in the earth, and he was sorie in his heart.
| و خداوند پشیمان شد که انسان را برزمین ساخته بود، و در دل خود محزون گشت. | ۶ |
7 Therefore ye Lord said, I will destroy from the earth the man, whom I haue created, from man to beast, to the creeping thing, and to the foule of the heauen: for I repent that I haue made them.
| وخداوند گفت: «انسان را که آفریده‌ام، از روی زمین محو سازم، انسان و بهایم و حشرات وپرندگان هوا را، چونکه متاسف شدم از ساختن ایشان.» | ۷ |
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
| اما نوح در نظر خداوند التفات یافت. | ۸ |
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a iust and vpright man in his time: and Noah walked with God.
| این است پیدایش نوح. نوح مردی عادل بود، و در عصر خود کامل. و نوح با خدا راه می‌رفت. | ۹ |
10 And Noah begate three sonnes, Shem, Ham and Iapheth.
| و نوح سه پسر آورد: سام و حام و یافث. | ۱۰ |
11 The earth also was corrupt before God: for the earth was filled with crueltie.
| وزمین نیز بنظر خدا فاسد گردیده و زمین از ظلم پر شده بود. | ۱۱ |
12 Then God looked vpon the earth, and beholde, it was corrupt: for all flesh had corrupt his way vpon the earth.
| و خدا زمین را دید که اینک فاسدشده است، زیرا که تمامی بشر راه خود را بر زمین فاسد کرده بودند. | ۱۲ |
13 And God said vnto Noah, An ende of all flesh is come before me: for the earth is filled with crueltie through them: and beholde, I wil destroy them with the earth.
| و خدا به نوح گفت: «انتهای تمامی بشر به حضورم رسیده است، زیرا که زمین بسبب ایشان پر از ظلم شده است. و اینک من ایشان را با زمین هلاک خواهم ساخت. | ۱۳ |
14 Make thee an Arke of pine trees: thou shalt make cabines in the Arke, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
| پس برای خودکشتی‌ای از چوب کوفر بساز، و حجرات درکشتی بنا کن و درون و بیرونش را به قیر بیندا. | ۱۴ |
15 And thus shalt thou make it: The length of the Arke shalbe three hundreth cubites, the breadth of it fiftie cubites, and the height of it thirtie cubites.
| وآن را بدین ترکیب بساز که طول کشتی سیصدذراع باشد، و عرضش پنجاه ذراع و ارتفاع آن سی ذراع. | ۱۵ |
16 A windowe shalt thou make in the Arke, and in a cubite shalt thou finish it aboue, and the doore of the Arke shalt thou set in the side thereof: thou shalt make it with the lowe, seconde and third roume.
| و روشنی‌ای برای کشتی بساز و آن را به ذراعی از بالا تمام کن. و در کشتی را در جنب آن بگذار، و طبقات تحتانی و وسطی و فوقانی بساز. | ۱۶ |
17 And I, beholde, I will bring a flood of waters vpon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life vnder the heauen: all that is in the earth shall perish.
| زیرا اینک من طوفان آب را بر زمین می‌آورم تاهر جسدی را که روح حیات در آن باشد، از زیرآسمان هلاک گردانم. و هرچه بر زمین است، خواهد مرد. | ۱۷ |
18 But with thee will I establish my couenant, and thou shalt goe into the Arke, thou, and thy sonnes, and thy wife, and thy sonnes wiues with thee.
| لکن عهد خود را با تو استوارمی سازم، و به کشتی در خواهی آمد، تو وپسرانت و زوجه ات و ازواج پسرانت با تو. | ۱۸ |
19 And of euery liuing thing, of all flesh two of euery sort shalt thou cause to come into the Arke, to keepe them aliue with thee: they shalbe male and female.
| و ازجمیع حیوانات، از هر ذی جسدی، جفتی از همه به کشتی در خواهی آورد، تا با خویشتن زنده نگاه داری، نر و ماده باشند. | ۱۹ |
20 Of the foules, after their kinde, and of the cattell after their kind, of euery creeping thing of the earth after his kinde, two of euery sort shall come vnto thee, that thou mayest keepe them aliue.
| از پرندگان به اجناس آنها، و از بهایم به اجناس آنها، و از همه حشرات زمین به اجناس آنها، دودو از همه نزدتو آیند تا زنده نگاه داری. | ۲۰ |
21 And take thou with thee of all meate that is eaten: and thou shalt gather it to thee, that it may be meate for thee and for them.
| و از هر آذوقه‌ای که خورده شود، بگیر و نزد خود ذخیره نما تابرای تو و آنها خوراک باشد.» | ۲۱ |
22 Noah therefore did according vnto all, that God commanded him: euen so did he.
| پس نوح چنین کرد و به هرچه خدا او را امر فرمود، عمل نمود. | ۲۲ |
The World is Destroyed by Water
