Genesis 5
1 This is the booke of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created Adam, in the likenes of God made he him,
Inilah daftar keturunan Adam. (Pada waktu Allah menciptakan manusia, dijadikan-Nya mereka seperti Allah sendiri.
2 Male and female created he them, and blessed them, and called their name Adam in the day that they were created.
Diciptakan-Nya mereka laki-laki dan perempuan. Diberkati-Nya mereka dan dinamakan-Nya mereka "Manusia".)
3 Nowe Adam liued an hundred and thirtie yeeres, and begate a childe in his owne likenes after his image, and called his name Sheth.
Ketika Adam berumur 130 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki yang mirip dengan dirinya, lalu diberinya nama Set.
4 And the dayes of Adam, after he had begotten Sheth, were eight hundreth yeeres, and he begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Adam masih hidup 800 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
5 So all the dayes that Adam liued, were nine hundreth and thirtie yeeres: and he died.
Ia meninggal pada usia 930 tahun.
6 And Sheth liued an hundreth and fiue yeeres, and begate Enosh.
Pada waktu Set berumur 105 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Enos.
7 And Sheth liued, after he begate Enosh, eight hundreth and seuen yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Set masih hidup 807 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
8 So all the dayes of Sheth were nine hundreth and twelue yeeres: and he died.
Ia meninggal pada usia 912 tahun.
9 Also Enosh liued ninetie yeeres, and begate Kenan.
Pada waktu Enos berumur 90 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Kenan.
10 And Enosh liued, after he begate Kenan, eight hundreth and fifteene yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Enos masih hidup 815 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
11 So all the dayes of Enosh were nine hundreth and fiue yeeres: and he died
Ia meninggal pada usia 905 tahun.
12 Likewise Kenan liued seuentie yeeres, and begate Mahalaleel.
Pada waktu Kenan berumur 70 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Mahalaleel.
13 And Kenan liued, after he begate Mahalaleel, eight hundreth and fourtie yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Kenan masih hidup 840 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
14 So all the dayes of Kenan were nine hundreth and tenne yeeres: and he died.
Ia meninggal pada usia 910 tahun.
15 Mahalaleel also liued sixtie and fiue yeres, and begate Iered.
Pada waktu Mahalaleel berumur 65 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Yared.
16 Also Mahalaleel liued, after he begate Iered, eight hundreth and thirtie yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Mahalaleel masih hidup 830 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
17 So all the dayes of Mahalaleel were eight hundreth ninetie and fiue yeeres: and he died.
Ia meninggal pada usia 895 tahun.
18 And Iered liued an hundreth sixtie and two yeeres, and begate Henoch.
Pada waktu Yared berumur 162 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Henokh.
19 Then Iered liued, after he begate Henoch, eight hundreth yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Yared masih hidup 800 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
20 So all the dayes of Iered were nine hundreth sixtie and two yeeres: and he died.
Ia meninggal pada usia 962 tahun.
21 Also Henoch liued sixtie and fiue yeeres, and begate Methushelah.
Pada waktu Henokh berumur 65 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki namanya Metusalah.
22 And Henoch walked with God, after he begate Methushelah, three hundreth yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Henokh hidup dalam persekutuan dengan Allah selama 300 tahun. Ia mendapat anak-anak lain
23 So all the dayes of Henoch were three hundreth sixtie and fiue yeeres.
dan mencapai umur 365 tahun.
24 And Henoch walked with God, and he was no more seene: for God tooke him away.
Karena Henokh selalu hidup akrab dengan Allah, ia menghilang karena diambil oleh Allah.
25 Methushelah also liued an hundreth eightie and seuen yeeres, and begate Lamech.
Pada waktu Metusalah berumur 187 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Lamekh.
26 And Methushelah liued, after he begate Lamech, seuen hundreth eightie and two yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Metusalah masih hidup 782 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
27 So al the dayes of Methushelah were nine hundreth sixtie and nine yeeres: and he died.
Ia meninggal pada usia 969 tahun.
28 Then Lamech liued an hundreth eightie and two yeeres, and begate a sonne,
Pada waktu Lamekh berumur 182 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki.
29 And called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort vs concerning our worke and sorowe of our hands, as touching the earth, which the Lord hath cursed.
Lamekh berkata, "Anak ini akan memberi keringanan pada waktu kita bekerja keras mengolah tanah yang dikutuk TUHAN." Karena itu Lamekh menamakan anak itu Nuh.
30 And Lamech liued, after he begate Noah, fiue hundreth ninetie and fiue yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Setelah itu Lamekh masih hidup 595 tahun lagi. Ia mendapat anak-anak lain,
31 So all the dayes of Lamech were seuen hundreth seuentie and seuen yeeres: and he died.
dan meninggal pada usia 777 tahun.
32 And Noah was fiue hundreth yeere olde. And Noah begate Shem, Ham and Iapheth.
Setelah Nuh berumur 500 tahun, ia mendapat tiga anak laki-laki, yaitu Sem, Yafet dan Ham.
