Genesis 47
1 Then came Ioseph and tolde Pharaoh, and sayde, My father, and my brethren, and their sheepe, and their cattell, and all that they haue, are come out of the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
Awo Yusufu n’agenda eri Falaawo n’amugamba nti, “Kitange ne baganda bange n’amagana gaabwe n’ebisibo byabwe ne byonna bye balina bazze nga bava mu Kanani; kaakano bali Goseni.”
2 And Ioseph tooke part of his brethren, euen fiue men, and presented them vnto Pharaoh.
Yalondako bataano ku baganda be, n’agenda nabo ewa Falaawo.
3 Then Pharaoh said vnto his brethren, What is your trade? And they answered Pharaoh, Thy seruants are shepheards, both we and our fathers.
Falaawo n’ababuuza nti, “Omulimu gwammwe mulimu ki?” Ne bamuddamu nti, “Abaweereza bo tuli balunzi nga bajjajjaffe.
4 They sayde moreouer vnto Pharaoh, For to soiourne in ye lande are we come: for thy seruants haue no pasture for their sheepe, so sore is ye famine in the lande of Canaan. Nowe therefore, we pray thee, let thy seruants dwel in the land of Goshen.
Tuzze muno kunoonyeza bisibo byaffe muddo, kubanga abaddu bo tuva mu njala mpitirivu eri mu Kanani; ne kaakano abaddu bo tukusaba tubeere e Goseni.”
5 Then spake Pharaoh to Ioseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come vnto thee.
Awo Falaawo n’agamba Yusufu nti, “Kitaawo ne baganda bo bazze gy’oli.
6 The lande of Egypt is before thee: in the best place of the land make thy father and thy brethren dwel: let the dwel in the land of Goshen: and if thou knowest that there be men of actiuitie among them, make them rulers ouer my cattell.
Ensi y’e Misiri gw’ogirinako obuyinza, teeka kitaawo ne baganda bo awasinga obulungi; bateeke e Goseni. Era obanga omanyi asobola mu bo muwe akuume ente zange.”
7 Ioseph also brought Iaakob his father, and set him before Pharaoh. And Iaakob saluted Pharaoh.
Awo Yusufu n’ayingiza Yakobo, kitaawe n’amwanjula eri Falaawo. Yakobo n’asabira Falaawo omukisa.
8 Then Pharaoh sayde vnto Iaakob, Howe olde art thou?
Falaawo n’abuuza Yakobo nti, “Olina emyaka emeka?”
9 And Iaakob sayd vnto Pharaoh, The whole time of my pilgrimage is an hundreth and thirty yeeres: fewe and euill haue the dayes of my life bene, and I haue not attayned vnto the yeeres of the life of my fathers, in the dayes of their pilgrimages.
Yakobo n’addamu nti, “Emyaka egy’olugendo lwange mu nsi giri kikumi mu amakumi asatu; emyaka gyange gibadde mitono era mizibu; siwangadde nga bajjajjange.”
10 And Iaakob tooke leaue of Pharaoh, and departed from the presence of Pharaoh.
Olwo Yakobo n’asabira Falaawo omukisa n’ava mu maaso ga Falaawo.
11 And Ioseph placed his father, and his brethren, and gaue them possession in the lande of Egypt, in the best of the land, euen in the lande of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
Awo Yusufu n’asenza kitaawe ne baganda be e Misiri, n’abawa ekitundu ekyali kisinga obulungi eky’e Goseni, mu Disitulikiti ey’e Lamusesi nga Falaawo bwe yalagira.
12 And Ioseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fathers houshold with bread, euen to the yong children.
Yusufu n’awa kitaawe ne baganda be n’ab’ennyumba ya kitaawe emmere ng’omuwendo gw’abaana baabwe bwe gwali.
13 Now there was no bread in all the land: for the famine was exceeding sore: so that the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan were famished by reason of the famine.
Awo emmere n’eggwa mu kitundu ekyo kyonna kubanga enjala yayitirira obungi, ne kireetera ensi y’e Misiri ne Kanani okukosebwa ennyo.
14 And Ioseph gathered all the money, that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corne which they bought, and Ioseph layd vp the money in Pharaohs house.
Yusufu n’akuŋŋaanya ensimbi zonna ezaali mu Misiri ne mu Kanani ng’abaguza emmere; n’azireeta mu lubiri lwa Falaawo.
15 So when money fayled in the lande of Egypt, and in the lande of Canaan, then all the Egyptians came vnto Ioseph, and sayde, Giue vs bread: for why should we dye before thee? for our money is spent.
Awo ensimbi bwe zaggwa ku bantu b’e Misiri ne Kanani ne bajja eri Yusufu ne bamugamba nti, “Tuwe emmere. Ensimbi zituweddeko. Lwaki tufa?”
16 Then saide Ioseph, Bring your cattell, and I will giue you for your cattell, if your money be spent.
Yusufu n’abagamba nti, “Kale obanga ensimbi zibaweddeko mundeetere ensolo zammwe mbaguze emmere.”
17 So they brought their cattell vnto Ioseph, and Ioseph gaue them bread for the horses, and for the flockes of sheepe, and for the heards of cattel, and for the asses: so he fed them with bread for all their cattell that yeere.
Awo ne bamuleetera amagana g’ensolo zaabwe, omwali embalaasi, n’endiga, n’ente, n’endogoyi, okubiwaanyisaamu emmere; emmere eyo n’ebayisa mu mwaka ogwo.
18 But when the yeere was ended, they came vnto him the next yeere, and sayd vnto him, We will not hide from my lord, that since our money is spent, and my lord hath the heards of the cattel, there is nothing left in the sight of my lorde, but our bodies and our ground.
Omwaka ogwo bwe gwaggwaako, ne bajja eri Yusufu mu mwaka ogwaddirira ne bamugamba nti, “Tetuukukise mukama waffe, ensimbi zituweddeko n’ensolo zaffe zifuuse zizo tewali kye tusigazza, wabula emibiri gyaffe gino n’ebyalo byaffe.
19 Why shall we perish in thy sight, both we, and our land? bye vs and our land for bread, and we and our land will be bonde to Pharaoh: therefore giue vs seede, that we may liue and not dye, and that the land go not to waste.
Tufiira ki nga w’oli? Tugule ffe n’ebyalo byaffe otuwe emmere tuleme okufa, naffe tuliba baddu ba Falaawo, ensi yaffe ereme okuzikirira.”
20 So Ioseph bought all the lande of Egypt for Pharaoh: for the Egyptians solde euery man his ground because the famine was sore vpon the: so the land became Pharaohs.
Bw’atyo Yusufu n’agulira Falaawo ensi yonna ey’e Misiri. Abamisiri kinoomu, bonna ne batunda ebyalo byabwe kubanga enjala yali mpitirivu, ensi yonna n’efuuka ya Falaawo.
21 And he remoued the people vnto the cities, from one side of Egypt euen to the other.
Bwe batyo n’abantu baamu okuva ku njuyi zonna ne bafuuka baddu ba Falaawo.
22 Onely the lande of the Priestes bought he not: for the Priestes had an ordinarie of Pharaoh, and they did eate their ordinarie, which Pharaoh gaue them: wherefore they solde not their grounde.
Ekitundu kya bakabona kye kyokka ky’ataagula, kubanga bo baasasulwanga Falaawo. Kye yabasasulanga kwe beeguliranga ebyokulya; bo kyebaava batatunda ttaka lyabwe.
23 Then Ioseph sayd vnto the people, Behold, I haue bought you this daye, and your lande for Pharaoh: lo, here is seede for you: sowe therefore the grounde.
Awo Yusufu n’agamba abantu nti, “Mulabe, olwa leero mbaguze mmwe n’ebyalo byammwe; mbagulidde Falaawo. Kale kaakano ensigo zino zammwe munaazisiga.
24 And of the encrease ye shall giue the fifth part vnto Pharaoh, and foure partes shalbe yours for the seede of the fielde, and for your meate, and for them of your housholdes, and for your children to eate.
Bwe mulikungula, muliwa Falaawo ekitundu kimu kyakutaano, ebitundu bina bya kutaano biriba byammwe, okuba ensigo mu nnimiro zammwe, n’emmere ku lwammwe n’ab’ennyumba zammwe n’abaana bammwe.”
25 Then they answered, Thou hast saued our liues: let vs finde grace in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs seruants.
Ne bamuddamu nti, “Otuwonyezza okufa; mukama waffe bw’anaasiima tuliba baddu ba Falaawo.”
26 Then Ioseph made it a lawe ouer the land of Egypt vnto this day, that Pharaoh should haue the fift part, except the land of the priests only, which was not Pharaohs.
Awo Yusufu n’ateeka etteeka erikwata ku ttaka mu nsi y’e Misiri; weeliri n’okutuusa kaakano, nti ekitundu kimu kyakutaano kiba musolo gwa Falaawo; ettaka ly’abakabona lyokka lye litaafuuka lya Falaawo.
27 And Israel dwelt in the lande of Egypt, in the countrey of Goshen: and they had their possessions therein, and grewe and multiplied exceedingly.
Bw’atyo Isirayiri n’abantu be ne babeera mu nsi y’e Misiri, mu Goseni, ne bagaggawalira mu kitundu ekyo. Baazaala ne baala nnyo.
28 Moreouer, Iaakob liued in the lande of Egypt seuenteene yeeres, so that the whole age of Iaakob was an hundreth fourtie and seuen yeere.
Yakobo n’amala mu Misiri emyaka kkumi na musanvu. Bw’atyo Yakobo n’awangaala emyaka kikumi mu ana mu musanvu.
29 Now when the time drewe neere that Israel must dye, he called his sonne Ioseph, and sayde vnto him, If I haue nowe founde grace in thy sight, put thine hand nowe vnder my thigh, and deale mercifully and truely with me: burie me not, I pray thee, in Egypt.
Ekiseera eky’okufa kwa Isirayiri bwe kyali kisembedde, n’ayita mutabani we Yusufu n’amugamba nti, “Obanga nfunye ekisa mu maaso go teeka omukono gwo wansi w’ekisambi kyange, ondayirire ng’onompulira n’otonkuusakuusa: tonziikanga mu Misiri,
30 But when I shall sleepe with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury mee in their buryall. And he answered, I will doe as thou hast sayde.
onteekanga wamu ne bajjajjange. Olintwala n’onziika ku butaka.” Yusufu n’amuddamu nti, “Ndikola nga bw’ogambye.”
31 The he said, Sweare vnto me. And he sware vnto him. And Israel worshipped towardes the beds head.
N’amugamba nti, “Ndayirira.” N’amulayirira. Awo Isirayiri n’akoteka omutwe gwe ng’atudde emitwetwe w’ekitanda kye.
