Genesis 42
1 Then Iaakob saw that there was foode in Egypt, and Iaakob said vnto his sonnes, Why gaze ye one vpon an other?
੧ਜਦ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ?
2 And he said, Behold, I haue heard that there is foode in Egypt, Get you downe thither, and bie vs foode thence, that we may liue and not die.
੨ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਅੰਨ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਆਓ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਨਾ ਜਾਈਏ।
3 So went Iosephs ten brethren downe to bye corne of the Egyptians.
੩ਸੋ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਦਸੇ ਭਰਾ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਲਈ ਗਏ।
4 But Beniamin Iosephs brother woulde not Iaakob send with his brethren: for he saide, Least death should befall him.
੪ਪਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਨਾ ਆ ਪਵੇ।
5 And the sonnes of Israel came to bye foode among them that came: for there was famine in the land of Canaan.
੫ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅੰਨ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਆਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਕਾਲ ਸੀ।
6 Now Ioseph was gouerner of the land, who solde to all the people of the lande: then Iosephs brethren came, and bowed their face to the groud before him.
੬ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਅੰਨ ਵੇਚਦਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਆਏ ਤਦ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਭਾਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕੇ।
7 And when Ioseph sawe his brethren, hee knewe them, and made himselfe straunge toward them, and spake to them roughly, and saide vnto them, Whence come yee? Who answered, Out of the land of Canaan, to bye vitaile.
੭ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਆਏ ਹੋ? ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਅਸੀਂ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ।
8 (Now Ioseph knewe his brethren, but they knew not him.
੮ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਲਿਆ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ।
9 And Ioseph remembred the dreames, which he dreamed of them) and he sayde vnto them, Ye are spies, and are come to see the weaknesse of the land.
੯ਤਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸੁਫ਼ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੇਖੇ ਸਨ, ਯਾਦ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਸੂਸ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਦਸ਼ਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਹੋ।
10 But they sayde vnto him, Nay, my lorde, but to bye vitayle thy seruants are come.
੧੦ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਾਸ ਅੰਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ।
11 Wee are all one mans sonnes: wee meane truely, and thy seruants are no spies.
੧੧ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਾਸ ਜਾਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।
12 But he saide vnto them, Nay, but yee are come to see the weakenes of the land.
੧੨ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਦਸ਼ਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਆਏ ਹੋ।
13 And they said, We thy seruants are twelue brethren, the sonnes of one man in the lande of Canaan: and beholde, the yongest is this day with our father, and one is not.
੧੩ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਾਸ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ।
14 Againe Ioseph sayde vnto them, This is it that I spake vnto you, saying, Ye are spies.
੧੪ਤਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਸੂਸ ਹੋ।
15 Hereby ye shall be proued: by the life of Pharaoh, ye shall not goe hence, except your yongest brother come hither.
੧੫ਇਸੇ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਖੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਭਰਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਐਥੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ।
16 Send one of you which may fet your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proued, whether there bee trueth in you: or els by the life of Pharaoh ye are but spies.
੧੬ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੋ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਆਵੇ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੈਦੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪਰਖੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਜਸੂਸ ਹੋ।
17 So he put them in warde three dayes.
੧੭ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
18 Then Ioseph said vnto them the third day, This do, and liue: for I feare God.
੧੮ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
19 If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bounde in your prison house, and goe ye, carie foode for the famine of your houses:
੧੯ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਉਸੇ ਕੈਦਖ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਾਲ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਅੰਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ।
20 But bring your yonger brother vnto me, that your wordes may be tried, and that ye dye not: and they did so.
੨੦ਆਪਣੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਆਓ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪਰਖੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਮਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
21 And they said one to another, We haue verily sinned against our brother, in that we sawe the anguish of his soule, when he besought vs, and we would not heare him: therefore is this trouble come vpon vs.
੨੧ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਤਰਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ। ਇਸੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ।
22 And Reuben answered them, saying, Warned I not you, saying, Sinne not against the childe, and ye would not heare? and lo, his blood is now required.
੨੨ਤਦ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ? ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਛ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
23 (And they were not aware that Ioseph vnderstoode them: for he spake vnto them by an interpreter.)
੨੩ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਤਰਜੁਮਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।
24 Then he turned from them, and wept, and turned to them againe, and communed with them, and tooke Simeon from among them, and bounde him before their eyes.
੨੪ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ।
25 So Ioseph commanded that they should fill their sackes with wheate, and put euery mans money againe in his sacke, and giue them vitaile for the iourney: and thus did he vnto them.
੨੫ਫੇਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ ਭਰ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋੜ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ-ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
26 And they layed their vitaile vpon their asses, and departed thence.
੨੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੰਨ ਲੱਦ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।
27 And as one of them opened his sacke for to giue his asse prouender in the ynne, he espyed his money: for lo, it was in his sackes mouth.
੨੭ਜਦ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਪੜਾਉ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਬੋਰਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਵੇਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
28 Then he sayde vnto his brethren, My money is restored: for loe, it is euen in my sacke. And their heart fayled them, and they were astonished, and sayde one to another, What is this, that God hath done vnto vs?
੨੮ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਮੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਬਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਇਹ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ?
29 And they came vnto Iaakob their father vnto the lande of Canaan, and tolde him all that had befallen them, saying,
੨੯ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਕੋਲ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੀਤਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ:
30 The man, who is Lord of the lande, spake roughly to vs, and put vs in prison as spyes of the countrey.
੩੦ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਖਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਜਸੂਸ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ।
31 And we sayd vnto him, We are true men, and are no spies.
੩੧ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।
32 We be twelue brethren, sonnes of our father: one is not, and the yongest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.
੩੨ਅਸੀਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ। ਇੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟਾ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
33 Then the Lord of the countrey sayde vnto vs, Hereby shall I knowe if ye be true men: Leaue one of your brethren with me, and take foode for the famine of your houses and depart,
੩੩ਤਦ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਹੈ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ, ਜੇਕਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਭਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਛੱਡੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਲਈ ਅੰਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ
34 And bring your yongest brother vnto me, that I may knowe that ye are no spies, but true men: so will I deliuer you your brother, and yee shall occupie in the land.
੩੪ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਭਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਆਓ, ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੋਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ। ਫਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ।
35 And as they emptied their sacks, behold, euery mans bundel of money was in his sacke: and when they and their father sawe the bundels of their money, they were afrayde.
੩੫ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੀ ਥੈਲੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਥੈਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਡਰ ਗਏ।
36 Then Iaakob their father said to them, Ye haue robbed me of my children: Ioseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Beniamin: all these things are against me.
੩੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ, ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
37 Then Reuben answered his father, saying, Slay my two sonnes, if I bring him not to thee againe: deliuer him to mine hand, and I will bring him to thee againe.
੩੭ਤਦ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਲਿਆਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਜ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
38 But he said, My sonne shall not go downe with you: for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if death come vnto him by the way which ye goe, then ye shall bring my gray head with sorow vnto the graue. (Sheol h7585)
੩੮ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਕੋਈ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਣ ਪਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬੁਢਾਪੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਾਰੋਗੇ। (Sheol h7585)
