Genesis 4
1 Afterward the man knew Heuah his wife, which conceiued and bare Kain, and said, I haue obteined a man by the Lord.
Иза тога Адам позна Јеву жену своју, а она затрудне и роди Кајина, и рече: Добих човека од Господа.
2 And againe she brought foorth his brother Habel, and Habel was a keeper of sheepe, and Kain was a tiller of the ground.
И роди опет брата његовог Авеља. И Авељ поста пастир а Кајин ратар.
3 And in processe of time it came to passe, that Kain brought an oblation vnto the Lord of the fruite of the ground.
А после неког времена догоди се, те Кајин принесе Господу принос од рода земаљског;
4 And Habel also him selfe brought of the first fruites of his sheepe, and of the fat of them, and the Lord had respect vnto Habel, and to his offering,
А и Авељ принесе од првина стада свог и од њихове претилине. И Господ погледа на Авеља и на његов принос,
5 But vnto Kain and to his offering he had no regarde: wherefore Kain was exceeding wroth, and his countenance fell downe.
А на Кајина и на његов принос не погледа. Зато се Кајин расрди веома, и лице му се промени.
6 Then ye Lord said vnto Kain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance cast downe?
Тада рече Господ Кајину: Што се срдиш? Што ли ти се лице промени?
7 If thou do well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sinne lieth at the doore: also vnto thee his desire shalbe subiect, and thou shalt rule ouer him.
Нећеш ли бити мио, кад добро чиниш? А кад не чиниш добро, грех је на вратима. А воља је његова под твојом влашћу, и ти си му старији.
8 Then Kain spake to Habel his brother. And when they were in the fielde, Kain rose vp against Habel his brother, and slewe him.
После говораше Кајин с Авељем братом својим. Али кад беху у пољу, скочи Кајин на Авеља брата свог, и уби га.
9 Then the Lord said vnto Kain, Where is Habel thy brother? Who answered, I cannot tell. Am I my brothers keeper?
Тада рече Господ Кајину: Где ти је брат Авељ? А он одговори: Не знам; зар сам ја чувар брата свог?
10 Againe he said, What hast thou done? the voyce of thy brothers blood cryeth vnto me from the earth.
А Бог рече: Шта учини! Глас крви брата твог виче са земље к мени.
11 Now therefore thou art cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receiue thy brothers blood from thine hand.
И сада, да си проклет на земљи, која је отворила уста своја да прими крв брата твог из руке твоје.
12 When thou shalt till the grounde, it shall not henceforth yeelde vnto thee her strength: a vagabond and a runnagate shalt thou be in the earth.
Кад земљу узрадиш, неће ти више давати блага свог. Бићеш потукач и бегунац на земљи.
13 Then Kain said to the Lord, My punishment is greater, then I can beare.
А Кајин рече Господу: Кривица је моја велика да ми се не може опростити.
14 Behold, thou hast cast me out this day from the earth, and from thy face shall I be hid, and shalbe a vagabond, and a runnagate in the earth, and whosoeuer findeth me, shall slay me.
Ево ме тераш данас из ове земље да се кријем испред Тебе, и да се скитам и потуцам по земљи, па ће ме убити ко ме удеси.
15 Then the Lord said vnto him, Doubtlesse whosoeuer slayeth Kain, he shalbe punished seue folde. And the Lord set a marke vpon Kain, lest any man finding him should kill him.
А Господ му рече: Зато ко убије Кајина, седам ће се пута то покајати. И начини Господ знак на Кајину да га не убије ко га удеси.
16 Then Kain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod towarde the Eastside of Eden.
И отиде Кајин испред Господа, и насели се у земљи наидској на истоку према Едему.
17 Kain also knewe his wife, which conceiued and bare Henoch: and he built a citie, and called the name of the citie by ye name of his sonne, Henoch.
И позна Кајин жену своју, а она затрудне и роди Еноха. И сазида град и прозва га по имену сина свог Енох.
18 And to Henoch was borne Irad, and Irad begate Mehuiael, and Mehuiael begate Methushael, and Methushael begate Lamech.
А Еноху роди се Гаидад; а Гаидад роди Малелеила: а Малелеило роди Матусала; а Матусал роди Ламеха.
19 And Lamech tooke him two wiues: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
И узе Ламех две жене: једној беше име Ада а другој Села.
20 And Adah bare Iabal, who was the father of such as dwell in the tents, and of such as haue cattell.
И Ада роди Јовила; од њега се народише који живе под шаторима и стоку пасу.
21 And his brothers name was Iubal, who was the father of all that play on the harpe and organes.
А брату његовом беше име Јувал; од њега се народише гудачи и свирачи.
22 And Zillah also bare Tubal-kain, who wrought cunningly euery craft of brasse and of yron: and the sister of Tubal-kain was Naamah.
А и Села роди Товела, који беше вешт ковати свашта од бронзе и од гвожђа; а сестра Товелу беше Ноема.
23 Then Lamech saide vnto his wiues Adah and Zillah, Heare my voyce, ye wiues of Lamech: hearken vnto my speach: for I would slay a man in my wound, and a yong man in mine hurt.
И рече Ламех својим женама, Ади и Сели: Чујте глас мој, жене Ламехове, послушајте речи моје: убићу човека за рану своју и младића за масницу своју.
24 If Kain shalbe auenged seuen folde, truely Lamech, seuentie times seuen folde.
Кад ће се Кајин осветити седам пута, Ламех ће седамдесет и седам пута.
25 And Adam knewe his wife againe, and she bare a sonne, and she called his name Sheth: for God, saide she, hath appointed me another seede for Habel, because Kain slewe him.
А Адам опет позна жену своју, и она роди сина, и наде му име Сит, јер ми, рече, Бог даде другог сина за Авеља, ког уби Кајин.
26 And to ye same Sheth also there was borne a sonne, and he called his name Enosh. Then beganne men to call vpon the name of the Lord.
И Ситу се роди син, коме надеде име Енос. Тада се поче призивати име Господње.
