Genesis 37
1 Iaakob nowe dwelt in the lande, wherein his father was a stranger, in the lande of Canaan.
௧யாக்கோபு தன் தகப்பன் தங்கியிருந்த கானான் தேசத்திலே குடியிருந்தான்.
2 These are the generations of Iaakob, when Ioseph was seuenteene yeere olde: he kept sheepe with his brethren, and the childe was with the sonnes of Bilhah, and with the sonnes of Zilpah, his fathers wiues. And Ioseph brought vnto their father their euill saying.
௨யாக்கோபுடைய சந்ததியின் வரலாறு: யோசேப்பு பதினேழு வயதிலே தன் சகோதரர்களுடனே ஆடுகளை மேய்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; அந்த இளைஞன் பில்காள் சில்பாள் என்னும் தன் தகப்பனுடைய மறுமனையாட்டிகளின் மகன்களோடு இருந்து, அவர்களுடைய துன்மார்க்கத்தைத் தன் தகப்பனுக்குச் சொல்லிவருவான்.
3 Nowe Israel loued Ioseph more then all his sonnes, because he begate him in his old age, and he made him a coat of many colours.
௩இஸ்ரவேலின் முதிர்வயதிலே யோசேப்பு தனக்குப் பிறந்ததினால், இஸ்ரவேல் தன் மகன்கள் எல்லோரையும்விட அவனை அதிகமாக நேசித்து, அவனுக்குப் பலவர்ண அங்கியைச் செய்வித்தான்.
4 So when his brethren sawe that their father loued him more then all his brethren, then they hated him, and could not speake peaceably vnto him.
௪அவனுடைய சகோதரர்கள் எல்லோரையும்விட அவனைத் தங்கள் தகப்பன் அதிகமாக நேசிக்கிறதை அவனுடைய சகோதரர்கள் கண்டபோது, அவனோடு ஆதரவாகப் பேசாமல் அவனைப் பகைத்தார்கள்.
5 And Ioseph dreamed a dreame, and told his brethren, who hated him so much the more.
௫யோசேப்பு ஒரு கனவு கண்டு, அதைத் தன் சகோதரர்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்தான்; அதனால் அவனை இன்னும் அதிகமாகப் பகைத்தார்கள்.
6 For he saide vnto them, Heare, I pray you, this dreame which I haue dreamed.
௬அவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: “நான் கண்ட கனவைக் கேளுங்கள்:
7 Beholde nowe, wee were binding sheues in the middes of the field: and loe, my shefe arose and also stoode vpright, and behold, your sheues compassed rounde about, and did reuerence to my shefe.
௭நாம் வயலில் அறுத்த அரிகளைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டிருந்தோம்; அப்பொழுது என்னுடைய அரிக்கட்டு நிமிர்ந்திருந்தது; உங்களுடைய அரிக்கட்டுகள் என் அரிக்கட்டைச் சுற்றி வணங்கி நின்றது” என்றான்.
8 Then his brethren saide to him, What, shalt thou reigne ouer vs, and rule vs? or shalt thou haue altogether dominion ouer vs? And they hated him so much the more, for his dreames, and for his wordes.
௮அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய சகோதரர்கள் அவனைப் பார்த்து: “நீ எங்கள்மேல் ஆளுகை செய்வாயோ? நீ எங்களை ஆளப்போகிறாயோ”? என்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவனுடைய கனவுகளினாலும், அவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளினாலும் இன்னும் அதிகமாகப் பகைத்தார்கள்.
9 Againe hee dreamed an other dreame, and tolde it his brethren, and saide, Behold, I haue had one dreame more, and beholde, the Sunne and the Moone and eleuen starres did reuerence to me.
௯அவன் வேறொரு கனவு கண்டு, தன் சகோதரர்களை நோக்கி: “நான் இன்னும் ஒரு கனவைக் கண்டேன்; சூரியனும் சந்திரனும் பதினொரு நட்சத்திரங்களும் என்னை வணங்கினது” என்றான்.
10 Then he tolde it vnto his father and to his brethren, and his father rebuked him, and saide vnto him, What is this dreame, which thou hast dreamed? shall I, and thy mother, and thy brethren come in deede and fall on the ground before thee?
௧0இதை அவன் தன்னுடைய தகப்பனுக்கும், சகோதரர்களுக்கும் சொன்னபோது, அவனுடைய தகப்பன் அவனைப் பார்த்து: “நீ கண்ட இந்தக் கனவு என்ன? நானும் உன்னுடைய தாயாரும், சகோதரர்களும் தரைவரைக்கும் குனிந்து உன்னை வணங்கவருவோமோ” என்று அவனைக் கடிந்துகொண்டான்.
11 And his brethren enuied him, but his father noted the saying.
௧௧அவனுடைய சகோதரர்கள் அவன்மேல் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்; அவனுடைய தகப்பனோ அவன் சொன்னதை மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டான்.
12 Then his brethren went to keepe their fathers sheepe in Shechem.
௧௨பின்பு, அவனுடைய சகோதரர்கள் சீகேமிலே தங்கள் தகப்பனுடைய ஆடுகளை மேய்க்கப் போனார்கள்.
13 And Israel said vnto Ioseph, Doe not thy brethren keepe in Shechem? come and I will send thee to them.
௧௩அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: “உன் சகோதரர்கள் சீகேமிலே ஆடுகளை மேய்க்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? உன்னை அவர்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பப் போகிறேன், வா” என்றான். அவன்: “இதோ, போகிறேன்” என்றான்.
14 And he answered him, I am here. Then he saide vnto him, Goe now, see whether it bee well with thy brethren, and how the flocks prosper, and bring me word againe. so hee sent him from the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.
௧௪அப்பொழுது அவன்: “நீ போய், உன் சகோதரர்கள் எப்படி இருக்கிறார்கள் என்றும், ஆடுகள் எப்படி இருக்கிறது என்றும் பார்த்து, எனக்கு மறுசெய்தி கொண்டுவா என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்லி, எபிரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே இருந்து அவனை அனுப்பினான்; அந்தப்படியே அவன் சீகேமுக்குப் போனான்.
15 Then a man found him: for lo, hee was wandring in the fielde, and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?
௧௫அப்பொழுது ஒரு மனிதன் அவன் வெளியிலே அலைந்து திரிவதைக் கண்டு, “என்ன தேடுகிறாய்”? என்று அவனைக் கேட்டான்.
16 And he answered, I seeke my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they keepe sheepe.
௧௬அதற்கு அவன்: “என் சகோதரர்களைத் தேடுகிறேன், அவர்கள் எங்கே ஆடு மேய்க்கிறார்கள், சொல்லும்” என்றான்.
17 And the man said, they are departed hece: for I heard them say, Let vs goe vnto Dothan. Then went Ioseph after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.
௧௭அந்த மனிதன்: “அவர்கள் இந்த இடத்திலிருந்து போய்விட்டார்கள், தோத்தானுக்குப் போவோம் என்று அவர்கள் சொல்வதைக்கேட்டேன்” என்றான்; அப்பொழுது யோசேப்பு தன் சகோதரர்களைத் தொடர்ந்துபோய், அவர்களைத் தோத்தானிலே கண்டுபிடித்தான்.
18 And when they sawe him a farre off, euen before he came at them, they conspired against him for to slay him.
௧௮அவன் தூரத்தில் வருவதை அவர்கள் கண்டு, அவன் தங்களுக்கு அருகில் வருவதற்குமுன்னே, அவனைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி சதியோசனைசெய்து,
19 For they sayd one to another, Behold, this dreamer commeth.
௧௯ஒருவரை ஒருவர் நோக்கி: “இதோ, கனவுகாண்கிறவன் வருகிறான்,
20 Come now therefore, and let vs slay him, and cast him into some pitte, and wee will say, A wicked beast hath deuoured him: then wee shall see, what will come of his dreames.
௨0நாம் அவனைக் கொன்று, இந்தக் குழிகள் ஒன்றிலே அவனைப் போட்டு, ஒரு கொடியமிருகம் அவனைக் கொன்றது என்று சொல்லுவோம் வாருங்கள்; அவனுடைய கனவுகள் எப்படி நிறைவேறுமென்று பார்ப்போம்” என்றார்கள்.
21 But when Reuben heard that, he deliuered him out of their handes, and saide, Let vs not kill him.
௨௧ரூபன் அதைக்கேட்டு, அவனை அவர்களுடைய கைக்குத் தப்புவித்து, அவனை அவனுடைய தகப்பனிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பவும் கொண்டுபோக மனதுள்ளவனாகி,
22 Also Reuben saide vnto them, Shed not blood, but cast him into this pitte that is in the wildernesse, and lay no hande vpon him. Thus he said, that he might deliuer him out of their hand, and restore him to his father againe.
௨௨அவர்களை நோக்கி: “அவனைக் கொல்லவேண்டாம், நீங்கள் இரத்தம் சிந்தக்கூடாது; நீங்கள் அவன்மேல் கைகளை வைக்காமல், அவனை வனாந்திரத்திலுள்ள இந்தக் குழியிலே போட்டுவிடுங்கள்” என்று சொல்லி, இந்த விதமாக ரூபன் அவனை அவர்களிடமிருந்து தப்புவித்தான்.
23 Now when Ioseph was come vnto his brethren, they stript Ioseph out of his coate, his particoloured coate that was vpon him.
௨௩யோசேப்பு தன் சகோதரர்களிடத்தில் சேர்ந்தபோது யோசேப்பு அணிந்துகொண்டிருந்த பலவர்ண அங்கியை அவர்கள் கழற்றி,
24 And they tooke him, and cast him into a pit, and the pit was emptie, without water in it.
௨௪அவனைத் தூக்கி, அந்தக் குழியிலே போட்டார்கள்; அது தண்ணீரில்லாத வெறுங்குழியாயிருந்தது.
25 Then they sate them downe to eate bread: and they lift vp their eyes and looked, and behold, there came a companie of Ishmeelites from Gilead, and their camels laden with spicerie, and balme, and myrrhe, and were going to cary it downe into Egypt.
௨௫பின்பு, அவர்கள் சாப்பிடுவதற்காக உட்கார்ந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் கண்களை ஏறெடுக்கும்போது, இதோ, கீலேயாத்திலிருந்து வருகிற இஸ்மவேலருடைய கூட்டத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் எகிப்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோகும்படி கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும் பிசின்தைலத்தையும் வெள்ளைப்போளத்தையும் ஒட்டகங்கள்மேல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
26 Then Iudah said vnto his brethren, What auaileth it, if we slay our brother, though wee keepe his blood secret?
௨௬அப்பொழுது யூதா தன் சகோதரர்களை நோக்கி: “நாம் நம்முடைய சகோதரனைக் கொன்று, அவனுடைய இரத்தத்தை மறைப்பதினால் லாபம் என்ன?
27 Come and let vs sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our handes be vpon him: for he is our brother and our flesh: and his brethren obeyed.
௨௭அவனை இந்த இஸ்மவேலருக்கு விற்றுப்போடுவோம் வாருங்கள்; நமது கை அவன்மேல் படாமலிருப்பதாக; அவன் நம்முடைய சகோதரனும் நம்முடைய சரீரமாக இருக்கிறானே” என்றான். அவனுடைய சகோதரர்கள் அவன் சொல்லுக்கு சம்மதித்தார்கள்.
28 Then the Midianites marchant men passed by, and they drewe foorth, and lift Ioseph out of the pit, and solde Ioseph vnto the Ishmeelites for twentie pieces of siluer: who brought Ioseph into Egypt.
௨௮அந்த வியாபாரிகளான மீதியானியர் கடந்துபோகிறபோது, அவர்கள் யோசேப்பை அந்தக் குழியிலிருந்து தூக்கியெடுத்து, அவனை இஸ்மவேலர் கையில் இருபது வெள்ளிக்காசுக்கு விற்றுப்போட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் யோசேப்பை எகிப்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
29 Afterwarde Reuben returned to the pit, and beholde, Ioseph was not in the pit: then he rent his clothes,
௨௯பின்பு, ரூபன் அந்தக் குழியினிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனபோது, யோசேப்பு குழியில் இல்லையென்று கண்டு, தன் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டு,
30 And returned to his brethren, and said, The childe is not yonder, and I, whither shall I goe?
௩0தன் சகோதரரிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி வந்து: “இளைஞன் இல்லையே, ஐயோ, நான் எங்கே போவேன் என்றான்.
31 And they tooke Iosephs coate, and killed a kidde of the goates, and dipped the coate in the blood.
௩௧அவர்கள் யோசேப்பின் அங்கியை எடுத்து, ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவை அடித்து, அந்த அங்கியை இரத்தத்திலே நனைத்து,
32 So they sent that particoloured coat, and they brought it vnto their father, and saide, This haue we founde: see nowe, whether it be thy sonnes coate, or no.
௩௨அதைத் தங்கள் தகப்பனிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பி: “இதை நாங்கள் கண்டெடுத்தோம், இது உம்முடைய மகனின் அங்கியோ, அல்லவோ, பாரும்” என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னார்கள்.
33 Then he knewe it and said, It is my sonnes coate: a wicked beast hath deuoured him: Ioseph is surely torne in pieces.
௩௩யாக்கோபு அதைக் கண்டு, “இது என் மகனுடைய அங்கிதான், ஒரு கொடியமிருகம் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டது, யோசேப்பு கிழிக்கப்பட்டுப் போனான்” என்று புலம்பி,
34 And Iaakob rent his clothes, and put sackecloth about his loynes, and sorowed for his sonne a long season.
௩௪தன் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்து, தன் இடுப்பில் சணல் ஆடையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அநேகநாட்கள் தன் மகனுக்காகத் துக்கித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
35 Then all his sonnes and all his daughters rose vp to comfort him, but he woulde not be comforted, but said, Surely I will go downe into the graue vnto my sonne mourning: so his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)
௩௫அவனுடைய மகன்கள், மகள்கள் எல்லோரும் அவனுக்கு ஆறுதல் சொல்ல வந்து நின்றார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவன் ஆறுதலுக்கு இடம்கொடாமல், “நான் துக்கத்தோடு என் மகனிடத்திற்கு பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குவேன்” என்றான். இந்த விதமாக அவனுடைய தகப்பன் அவனுக்காக அழுதுகொண்டிருந்தான். (Sheol h7585)
36 And the Midianites solde him into Egypt vnto Potiphar an Eunuche of Pharaohs, and his chiefe stewarde.
௩௬அந்த மீதியானியர்கள் யோசேப்பை எகிப்திலே பார்வோனின் அதிகாரியும் மெய்க்காப்பாளர்களுக்கு தலைவனுமாகிய போத்திபார் என்பவனிடத்தில் விற்றார்கள்.
