Genesis 37
1 Iaakob nowe dwelt in the lande, wherein his father was a stranger, in the lande of Canaan.
Ary Jakoba nonina tany amin’ ny tany fivahinian’ ny rainy, dia tany amin’ ny tany Kanana.
2 These are the generations of Iaakob, when Ioseph was seuenteene yeere olde: he kept sheepe with his brethren, and the childe was with the sonnes of Bilhah, and with the sonnes of Zilpah, his fathers wiues. And Ioseph brought vnto their father their euill saying.
Ary izao no tantaran’ i Jakoba: Rehefa fito ambin’ ny folo taona Josefa, dia niara-niandry ondry tamin’ ny rahalahiny izy (fa mbola zaza izy), dia tamin’ ny zanak’ i Bila sy ny zanak’ i Zilpa, vadin’ i Jakoba rainy; ary Josefa nitati-bolana tamin-drainy.
3 Nowe Israel loued Ioseph more then all his sonnes, because he begate him in his old age, and he made him a coat of many colours.
Ary tian’ Isiraely mihoatra noho ny zanany rehetra Josefa, satria zanaky ny fahanterany izy, ka nanaovany akanjo lava.
4 So when his brethren sawe that their father loued him more then all his brethren, then they hated him, and could not speake peaceably vnto him.
Ary nony hitan’ ny rahalahiny fa Josefa no tian’ ny rainy mihoatra noho izy mirahalahy avy, dia nankahala azy izy ka tsy nahazaka hanao teny tsara taminy.
5 And Ioseph dreamed a dreame, and told his brethren, who hated him so much the more.
Ary nanonofy Josefa, ka nambarany tamin’ ireo rahalahiny; dia vao mainka nankahalany azy izany.
6 For he saide vnto them, Heare, I pray you, this dreame which I haue dreamed.
Fa efa nilaza taminy hoe izy: Mba henoy kely ange izao nofy izao:
7 Beholde nowe, wee were binding sheues in the middes of the field: and loe, my shefe arose and also stoode vpright, and behold, your sheues compassed rounde about, and did reuerence to my shefe.
Indro, namehy amboara tany an-tsaha isika, ary, indro, niarina ny amboarako sady nijoro; ary, indreo, nilahatra manodidina kosa ny amboaranareo ka niankohoka teo anatrehan’ ny amboarako.
8 Then his brethren saide to him, What, shalt thou reigne ouer vs, and rule vs? or shalt thou haue altogether dominion ouer vs? And they hated him so much the more, for his dreames, and for his wordes.
Ary hoy ny rahalahiny taminy: Moa hanjaka aminay tokoa va ianao? na hanapaka anay tokoa va ianao? Ary izany nofiny sy teniny izany dia vao mainka nankahalany azy.
9 Againe hee dreamed an other dreame, and tolde it his brethren, and saide, Behold, I haue had one dreame more, and beholde, the Sunne and the Moone and eleuen starres did reuerence to me.
Ary nanonofy indray izy ka nolazainy tamin’ ny rahalahiny; dia hoy izy: Indro, nanonofy indray aho; ary, indreo, ny masoandro sy ny volana ary ny kintana iraika ambin’ ny folo niankohoka teo anatrehako.
10 Then he tolde it vnto his father and to his brethren, and his father rebuked him, and saide vnto him, What is this dreame, which thou hast dreamed? shall I, and thy mother, and thy brethren come in deede and fall on the ground before thee?
Ary nambarany tamin’ ny rainy sy ireo rahalahiny koa izany; dia niteny mafy azy ny rainy ka nanao taminy hoe: Manao ahoana izany nofy efa nonofisinao izany? Moa ho avy tokoa va aho sy ny reninao ary ny rahalahinao ka hiankohoka amin’ ny tany eo anatrehanao?
11 And his brethren enuied him, but his father noted the saying.
Dia nialona azy ny rahalahiny; fa ny rainy kosa nitadidy izany zavatra izany.
12 Then his brethren went to keepe their fathers sheepe in Shechem.
Ary lasa ny rahalahiny niandry ny ondrin’ ny rainy tany Sekema.
13 And Israel said vnto Ioseph, Doe not thy brethren keepe in Shechem? come and I will send thee to them.
Ary hoy Isiraely tamin’ i Josefa: Tsy miandry ondry any Sekema va ny rahalahinao? Avia mba hirahiko hankany aminy ianao. Ary hoy izy taminy: Inty Aho.
14 And he answered him, I am here. Then he saide vnto him, Goe now, see whether it bee well with thy brethren, and how the flocks prosper, and bring me word againe. so hee sent him from the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.
Ary hoy ny rainy taminy: Masìna ianao, andeha, izahao na tsara ihany ny rahalahinao sy ny ondry aman’ osy, na manao ahoana; ka miverena hilaza amiko. Dia nirahiny hiala avy teo amin’ ny lohasahan’ i Hebrona izy, dia nankany Sekema.
15 Then a man found him: for lo, hee was wandring in the fielde, and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?
Ary nisy lehilahy nahita azy, fa, indro, nirenireny tany an-tsaha izy; dia nanontany azy ralehilahy ka nanao hoe: Inona moa notadiavinao?
16 And he answered, I seeke my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they keepe sheepe.
Dia hoy kosa izy: Ny rahalahiko no tadiaviko; koa masìna ianao, mba lazao amiko izay iandrasany ondry.
17 And the man said, they are departed hece: for I heard them say, Let vs goe vnto Dothan. Then went Ioseph after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.
Ary hoy ralehilahy: Efa nifindra niala teto izy: fa efa reko izy niresaka hoe: Andeha isika hankany Dotana. Dia lasa Josefa nanaraka ny rahalahiny ka nahita azy tany Dotana.
18 And when they sawe him a farre off, euen before he came at them, they conspired against him for to slay him.
Ary nahatazana azy eny lavidavitra eny ny rahalahiny; koa raha tsy mbola nanakaiky azy Josefa, dia niray tetika hamono azy izy.
19 For they sayd one to another, Behold, this dreamer commeth.
Dia niresaka hoe izy: Indro, tamy ilay mpanonofy.
20 Come now therefore, and let vs slay him, and cast him into some pitte, and wee will say, A wicked beast hath deuoured him: then wee shall see, what will come of his dreames.
Koa ankehitriny, andeha hovonointsika izy ka hatsipintsika ao anatin’ ny anankiray amin’ ireto lavaka ireto; ary dia aoka holazaintsika hoe: Efa lanin’ ny biby masiaka izy; dia ho hitantsika amin’ izany na hanao ahoana ny nofiny.
21 But when Reuben heard that, he deliuered him out of their handes, and saide, Let vs not kill him.
Ary Robena nandre izany, dia namonjy azy tamin’ ny tànany ka nanao hoe: Aza dia mamono ny ainy isika.
22 Also Reuben saide vnto them, Shed not blood, but cast him into this pitte that is in the wildernesse, and lay no hande vpon him. Thus he said, that he might deliuer him out of their hand, and restore him to his father againe.
Ary hoy koa Robena taminy: Aoka tsy handatsa-drà ianareo; atsipazo ao anatin’ io lavaka etỳ an-efitra io izy, fa aza misy maninji-tanana aminy ianareo, mba hamonjeny azy amin’ ny tanan’ ny rahalahiny hitondrany azy any amin’ ny rainy indray.
23 Now when Ioseph was come vnto his brethren, they stript Ioseph out of his coate, his particoloured coate that was vpon him.
Ary rehefa tonga teo amin’ ny rahalahiny Josefa, dia nendahany ny akanjony, dia ilay akanjo lava teny aminy;
24 And they tooke him, and cast him into a pit, and the pit was emptie, without water in it.
dia nobetainy izy ka natsipiny tao an-davaka; ary maina ny lavaka tamin’ izay, fa tsy nisy rano tao.
25 Then they sate them downe to eate bread: and they lift vp their eyes and looked, and behold, there came a companie of Ishmeelites from Gilead, and their camels laden with spicerie, and balme, and myrrhe, and were going to cary it downe into Egypt.
Ary nipetraka nihinan-kanina izy ireo, ary sendra nanopy ny masony ka nahatazana fa, indreo, nisy Isimaelita niara-dia, avy tany Gileada, ary ny ramevany nitondra ditin-kazo, dia nekota sy balsama ary lota, izay nentiny hidina any Egypta.
26 Then Iudah said vnto his brethren, What auaileth it, if we slay our brother, though wee keepe his blood secret?
Ary hoy Joda tamin’ ny rahalahiny: Inona no soa ho azontsika, raha hamono ny rahalahintsika sy hanafina ny ràny isika?
27 Come and let vs sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our handes be vpon him: for he is our brother and our flesh: and his brethren obeyed.
Andeha hamidintsika amin’ ireo Isimaelita ireo izy, ary aoka tsy haninona azy ny tanantsika; fa rahalahintsika sy nofontsika ihany izy. Dia nanaiky ny rahalahiny.
28 Then the Midianites marchant men passed by, and they drewe foorth, and lift Ioseph out of the pit, and solde Ioseph vnto the Ishmeelites for twentie pieces of siluer: who brought Ioseph into Egypt.
Ary raha nandalo teo ny Midianita mpandranto, dia nakarin’ ny rahalahiny niala tao an-davaka Josefa ka namidiny sekely volafotsy roa-polo tamin’ ny Isimaelita; ary dia nitondra an’ i Josefa ho any Egypta ireo.
29 Afterwarde Reuben returned to the pit, and beholde, Ioseph was not in the pit: then he rent his clothes,
Dia niverina nankeo amin’ ny lavaka Robena, ka, indro, tsy tao an-davaka intsony Josefa; dia nandriatra ny fitafiany izy.
30 And returned to his brethren, and said, The childe is not yonder, and I, whither shall I goe?
Dia niverina nankeo amin’ ny rahalahiny izy ka nanao hoe: Tsy ao ny zaza, ary izaho, aiza no halehako?
31 And they tooke Iosephs coate, and killed a kidde of the goates, and dipped the coate in the blood.
Ary nalain’ ireo rahalahiny ilay akanjon’ i Josefa, dia namono zanak’ osy izy, ka natsobony tamin’ ny rà ny akanjo.
32 So they sent that particoloured coat, and they brought it vnto their father, and saide, This haue we founde: see nowe, whether it be thy sonnes coate, or no.
Dia nampanateriny ho any amin’ ny rainy ilay akanjo, sady hoy no filazany azy: Ity no efa hitanay; koa fantaro na akanjon’ ny zanakao ity, na tsia?
33 Then he knewe it and said, It is my sonnes coate: a wicked beast hath deuoured him: Ioseph is surely torne in pieces.
Dia fantany, ka hoy izy: Akanjon’ ny zanako io: efa lanin’ ny biby masiaka izy; voaviravira tokoa Josefa.
34 And Iaakob rent his clothes, and put sackecloth about his loynes, and sorowed for his sonne a long season.
Ary Jakoba dia nandriatra ny fitafiany ka nisikina lamba fisaonana tamin’ ny valahany; ary nisaona ny zanany andro maro.
35 Then all his sonnes and all his daughters rose vp to comfort him, but he woulde not be comforted, but said, Surely I will go downe into the graue vnto my sonne mourning: so his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)
Dia avy ny zananilahy rehetra sy ny zananivavy rehetra mba hampionona azy, fa tsy nety nampiononina izy, fa hoy izy; Tsia, fa hidina misaona ho any amin’ ny zanako any amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita aho. Ary dia mbola nitomany azy ny rainy. (Sheol h7585)
36 And the Midianites solde him into Egypt vnto Potiphar an Eunuche of Pharaohs, and his chiefe stewarde.
Ary ny Midianita nivarotra an’ i Josefa tany Egypta tamin’ i Potifara, tandapan’ i Farao sady mpifehy ny mpiambina.
