Genesis 36
1 Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.
Đây là dòng dõi của Ê-sau (tức Ê-đôm):
2 Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
Ê-sau cưới ba vợ, đều là người Ca-na-an: A-đa, con gái của Ê-lôn người Hê-tít; Ô-hô-li-ba-ma, con gái của A-na, cháu của Xi-bê-ôn, người Hê-vi;
3 And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
và Bách-mát, con gái của Ích-ma-ên, em của Nê-ba-giốt.
4 And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
A-đa sinh Ê-li-pha cho Ê-sau. Bách-mát sinh Rê-u-ên.
5 Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
Ô-hô-li-ba-ma sinh Giê-úc, Gia-lam, và Cô-ra. Tất cả con trai của Ê-sau ấy đều sinh tại xứ Ca-na-an.
6 So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
Ê-sau đưa vợ con, gia nhân, cùng đem các bầy súc vật—tất cả tài sản gây dựng tại xứ Ca-na-an—cách xa gia đình Gia-cốp,
7 For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
vì cả hai anh em đều có quá nhiều tài sản nên không thể sống chung được nữa; và xứ họ đang cư ngụ cũng không cung ứng nỗi các nhu cầu của hai gia đình đông đúc ấy.
8 Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
Vậy, Ê-sau (tức là Ê-đôm) ở trên núi Sê-i-rơ.
9 So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
Đây là hậu tự của Ê-sau, tức là người Ê-đôm, sinh tại núi Sê-i-rơ:
10 These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
Các con trai Ê-sau: Ê-li-pha con trai của A-đa; và Rê-u-ên con trai của Bách-mát.
11 And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
Con trai của Ê-li-pha là Thê-man, Ô-ma, Xê-phô, Ga-tam, và Kê-na.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
Thim-na, vợ lẽ của Ê-li-pha sinh A-ma-léc. Đó là các cháu của A-đa, vợ Ê-sau.
13 And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
Gia tộc Rê-u-ên, con trai của Bách-mát gồm có Na-hát, Xê-rách, Sam-ma, và Mích-xa. Ấy là các cháu của Bách-mát, cũng là vợ Ê-sau.
14 And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Ê-sau cũng còn những người con trai sinh bởi Ô-hô-li-ba-ma, vợ của Ê-sau, con gái A-na, cháu ngoại Xi-bê-ôn. Tên của các con là Giê-úc, Gia-lam, và Cô-ra.
15 These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,

16 Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.

17 And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
Các đại tộc do Rê-u-ên, thứ nam của Ê-sau và Bách-mát, sinh ra trong xứ Ca-na-an: Đại tộc Na-hát, đại tộc Xê-rách, đại tộc Sam-ma, và đại tộc Mích-xa.
18 Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.
Các đại tộc thuộc dòng thứ ba, là các con trai của Ê-sau và Ô-hô-li-ba-ma, con gái A-na: Đại tộc Giê-úc, đại tộc Gia-lam, và đại tộc Cô-ra.
19 These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.
Ấy là các con trai của Ê-sau, tức là Ê-đôm, và đó là các đại tộc của họ.
20 These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.
Các sắc tộc bản xứ, là hậu tự của Sê-i-rơ, người Hô-rít gồm Lô-than, Sô-banh, Xi-bê-ôn, A-na,
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.

23 And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
Con của Sô-banh là Anh-van, Ma-na-hát, Ê-banh, Sê-phô, và Ô-nam.
24 And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.

25 And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.

26 Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Con của Đi-sôn là Hem-đan, Ếch-ban, Ích-ran, và Kê-ran.
27 The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
Con của Ét-xe là Binh-han, Xa-van, và A-can.
28 The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
Con của Đi-san là U-xơ và A-ran.
29 These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
Còn đây là các trưởng tộc người Hô-rít: Lô-than, Sô-banh, Xi-bê-ôn, A-na,
30 Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.
Đi-sôn, Ét-xe, Đi-san. Đó là các trưởng tộc của người Hô-rít, ở tại xứ Sê-i-rơ.
31 And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.
Đây là tên các vua đã cai trị xứ Ê-đôm, trước thời vương quốc Ít-ra-ên được thành lập:
32 Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Bê-la, con Bê-ô, đặt ngai vua tại thủ đô Đin-ha-ba.
33 And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
Sau khi Bê-la chết, Giô-báp, con Xê-rách, người Bốt-ra lên kế vị.
34 When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
Sau khi Giô-báp chết, Hu-sam, người Thê-man lên kế vị.
35 And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Sau khi Hu-sam chết, Ha-đát, con Bê-đa lên kế vị. Vua này là người chỉ huy quân đội đánh bại quân Ma-đi-an tại xứ Mô-áp và dời đô về A-vít.
36 When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
Sau khi Ha-đát chết, Sam-la, ở xứ Ma-rê-ca lên kế vị.
37 When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
Sau khi Sam-la chết, Sau-lơ, ở xứ Rê-hô-bốt, gần Sông Cái lên kế vị.
38 When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
Sau khi Sau-lơ chết, Ba-anh Ha-nan, con Ách-bô lên kế vị.
39 And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
Sau khi Ba-anh Ha-nan chết, Ha-đát lên kế vị. Tên thành người là Ba-u; hoàng hậu là Mê-hê-ta-bê-ên, con Mát-rết, cháu Mê-sa-háp.
40 Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,
Đây là tên các đại tộc của Ê-sau và xứ họ ở, được gọi theo tên từng đại tộc: Thim-na, Anh-va, Giê-hết,
41 Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
Ô-hô-li-ba-ma, Ê-la, Phi-nôn,
42 Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
Kê-na, Thê-man, Míp-xa,
43 Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
Mác-đi-ên, và Y-ram. Tất cả các đại tộc ấy đều là dòng dõi của Ê-sau, tổ phụ của người Ê-đôm.
