Genesis 36
1 Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.
Voici les générations d'Esaü, le même qu'Edom.
2 Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
Esaü prit ses femmes parmi les filles des Chananéens. Ada, fille d'Elom, Hettéen, et Olibema, fille d'Ana, fils de Sébégon, Évéen;
3 And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
Et Basemath, fille d'Ismaël, sœur de Nabéoth.
4 And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
Ada lui enfanta Éliphaz, et Basemath, Raguel.
5 Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
Olibema enfanta Jéhul, Jéglon et Coré; tels sont les fils d'Esaü qui lui naquirent en la terre de Chanaan.
6 So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
Ensuite Esaü prit ses femmes, ses fils, toutes les personnes de sa maison, et tout ce qui lui appartenait, et tous ses bestiaux, et tout ce qu'il avait acquis, et tout ce qu'il s'était approprié en la terre de Chanaan. Et Esaü sortit de la terre de Chanaan, s'éloignant de la face de son frère Jacob.
7 For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
Car, leur avoir était trop considérable pour qu'ils demeurassent ensemble, et la terre de leur parcours ne pouvait pas les recevoir tous deux, à cause de la multitude de leurs possessions.
8 Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
Esaü habita donc en la montagne de Séir;
9 So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
Voici les générations d'Esaü, le même qu'Edom, père des Edomites, en la montagne de Séir.
10 These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
Et voici les noms des fils d'Esaü: Eliphaz, fils d'Ada, femme d'Esaü, et Raguel, fils de Basemath, femme d'Esaü.
11 And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
Eliphaz eut pour fils: Théman, Omar, Sophar, Gatham et Cenez.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
Thamna fut la concubine d'Eliphaz, fils d'Esaü, et elle lui enfanta Anialec: tels sont les fils d'Ada, femme d'Esaü.
13 And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
Et voici les fils de Raguel: Nachoth, Zaré, Somé, Mozé: tels sont les fils de Basemath, femme d'Esaü.
14 And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Et voici les fils d'Olibema, fille d'Ana, fils de Sébégon, femme d'Esaü: Jéhu, Jéglon et Coré.
15 These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,
Voici les chefs fils d'Esaü: fils d'Eliphaz, premier-né d'Esaü, le chef Théman, le chef Omar, le chef Sophar, le chef Cenez;
16 Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.
Le chef Coré, le chef Gatham, le chef Amalec; ces chefs sont nés d'Eliphaz en la terre d'Idumée; ce sont les fils d'Ada, femme d'Esaü.
17 And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
Et voici les fils de Raguel, fils d'Esaü: le chef Nachoth, le chef Zaré, le chef Somé, le chef Mozé; ces chefs sont nés de Raguel en la terre d'Edom; ce sont les fils de Basemath, femme d'Esaü.
18 Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.
Et voici les fils d'Olibema, femme d'Esaü: le chef Jéhu, le chef Jéglon, le chef Coré; ces chefs sont nés d'Olibema, femme d'Esaü.
19 These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.
Tels sont les chefs nés d'Esaü; on les appelle aussi fils d'Edom.
20 These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.
Voici les fils de Séir, Borréen, habitant la contrée: Lotan, Sobal, Sébégon, Ana,
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.
Dison, Asar et Rison; ces chefs des Horréens sont nés du fils Séir, en la terre d'Edom.
22 And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.
Et les fils de Lotan furent Horri et Réman; Thamna fut sœur de Lotan.
23 And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
Voici les fils de Sobal: Golani, Manachath, Ébal, Sophar et Omar.
24 And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.
Voici les fils de Sébégon: Aija et Ana; c'est cet Ana qui trouva Jamin dans le désert, comme il paissait les bêtes de somme de son père.
25 And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
Voici les enfants d'Ana: Dison et Olibema, fille d'Ana.
26 Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Et voici les fils de Dison: Amada, Asban, Ithran et Harran.
27 The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
Voici les fils d'Asar: Balaam, Zacaui et Jucam.
28 The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
Voici les fils de Rison: Rus et Aran.
29 These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
Et voici les chefs des Horréens: le chef Lotan, le chef Sobal, le chef Sébégon, le chef Ana,
30 Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.
Le chef Dison, le chef Asar, le chef Rison: tels sont les chefs des Horréens en leurs commandements, dans la terre d'Edom.
31 And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.
Et voici les rois qui ont régné en Edoth, avant qu'un roi régnât en Israël:
32 Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
En Edom régna Balac, fils de Béor; le nom de sa ville est Dennaba.
33 And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
Balac mourut, et à sa place régna Jobab, fils de Zara de Bosra.
34 When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
Jobab mourut, et à sa place régna Asom, de la terre de Théman.
35 And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Asom mourut, et à sa place régna Adad, fils de Barad; qui battit Madian dans la plaine de Moab; le nom de sa ville est Gethaïm.
36 When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
Adad mourut, et à sa place régna Samada de Massecca.
37 When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
Samada mourut, et à sa place régna Saül de Rooboth, celle qui est auprès du fleuve.
38 When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
Saül mourut, et à sa place régna Ballanan, fils d'Achobor.
39 And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
Ballanan mourut, et à sa place régna Arad, fils de Barad; le nom de sa ville est Phogor, et il eut pour femme Méectabel, fille de Matraith, fils de Mézaab.
40 Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,
Voici les noms des chefs nés d'Esaü, en leurs tribus, leurs villes, leurs contrées, leurs nations: le chef Thanina, le chef Gola, le chef Jether,
41 Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
Le chef Olibema, le chef Ela, le chef Phinon,
42 Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
Le chef Cenez, le chef Théaian, le chef Mazar,
43 Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
Le chef Maudiel, le chef Zaphoïn: tels furent les chefs d'Edom, lorsqu'ils demeurèrent en la terre qu'ils avaient acquise; et leur père fut Esaü ou Edom.
