Genesis 34
1 Then Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare vnto Iaakob, went out to see the daughters of that countrey.
А Дина кћи Лијина, коју роди Јакову, изађе да гледа девојке у оном крају.
2 Whome when Shechem the sonne of Hamor the Hiuite lorde of that countrey sawe, hee tooke her, and lay with her, and defiled her.
А угледа је Сихем, син Емора Ефејина, кнеза од оне земље, и узе је и леже с њом и осрамоти је.
3 So his heart claue vnto Dinah the daughter of Iaakob: and he loued the maide, and spake kindely vnto the maide.
И приону срце његово за Дину кћер Јаковљеву, и девојка му омиле, и он јој се умиљаваше.
4 Then said Shechem to his father Hamor, saying, Get me this maide to wife.
И рече Сихем Емору оцу свом говорећи: Ожени ме овом девојком.
5 (Nowe Iaakob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter, and his sonnes were with his cattell in the fielde: therefore Iaakob helde his peace, vntill they were come.)
А Јаков чу да је осрамотио Дину кћер његову; а синови његови беху у пољу са стоком његовом, и Јаков оћуте докле они не дођу.
6 Then Hamor the father of Shechem went out vnto Iaakob to commune with him.
А Емор отац Сихемов изиђе к Јакову да се разговори с њим.
7 And whe the sonnes of Iaakob were come out of the fielde and heard it, it grieued the men, and they were very angry, because he had wrought villenie in Israel, in that he had lyen with Iaakobs daughter: which thing ought not to be done.
А кад дођоше синови Јаковљеви из поља и чуше шта је било, жао би људима врло и разгневише се веома, што учини срамоту Израиљу облежав кћер Јаковљеву, како не би ваљало чинити.
8 And Hamor communed with them, saying, the soule of my sonne Shechem longeth for your daughter: giue her him to wife, I pray you.
Тада им рече Емор говорећи: Син мој Сихем срцем приону за вашу кћер; подајте му је за жену.
9 So make affinitie with vs: giue your daughters vnto vs, and take our daughters vnto you,
И опријатељите се с нама; кћери своје удајите за нас и кћерима нашим жените се.
10 And ye shall dwell with vs, and the lande shalbe before you: dwell, and doe your businesse in it, and haue your possessions therein.
Па живите с нама, и земља ће вам бити отворена; настаните се и тргујте и држите баштине у њој.
11 Shechem also said vnto her father and vnto her brethren, Let me finde fauour in your eyes, and I will giue whatsoeuer ye shall appoint me.
И рече Сихем оцу девојчином и браћи јој: Да нађем милост пред вама, и даћу шта ми год кажете.
12 Aske of me abundantly both dowrie and giftes, and I will giue as ye appoint me, so that ye giue me the maide to wife.
Иштите ми колико год хоћете уздарја и дара, ја ћу дати шта год кажете; само ми дајте девојку за жену.
13 Then the sonnes of Iaakob answered Shechem and Hamor his father, talking deceitfully, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,
А синови Јаковљеви одговорише Сихему и Емору оцу његовом преварно, јер осрамоти Дину сестру њихову.
14 And they said vnto them, We can not do this thing, to giue our sister to an vncircumcised man: for that were a reproofe vnto vs.
И рекоше им: Не можемо то учинити ни дати сестре своје за човека необрезаног, јер је то срамота нама.
15 But in this will we consent vnto you, if ye will be as we are, that euery man childe among you be circumcised:
Него ћемо вам учинити по вољи, ако ћете се изједначити с нама и обрезати све мушкиње између себе.
16 Then will we giue our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters to vs, and will dwell with you, and be one people.
Онда ћемо удавати своје кћери за вас и женићемо се вашим кћерима, и постаћемо један народ.
17 But if ye will not hearken vnto vs to be circumcised, then will we take our daughter and depart.
Ако ли не пристанете да се обрежете, ми ћемо узети своју девојку и отићи ћемо.
18 Nowe their wordes pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamors sonne.
И по вољи бише речи њихове Емору и Сихему сину Еморовом.
19 And the yong man deferd not to doe the thing because he loued Iaakobs daughter: he was also the most set by of all his fathers house.
И момак не оклеваше учинити то; јер му кћи Јаковљева омиле веома; и он беше највише поштован између свих у кући оца свог.
20 Then Hamor and Shechem his Sonne went vnto the gate of their citie, and communed with the men of their citie, saying,
И отиде Емор и син му Сихем на врата града свог, и рекоше грађанима говорећи:
21 These men are peaceable with vs: and that they may dwell in the land, and doe their affaires therin (for behold, the land hath roume ynough for them) let vs take their daughters to wiues, and giue them our daughters.
Ови људи хоће мирно да живе с нама, да се настане у овој земљи и да тргују по њој; а ево земља је широка и за њих; па ћемо се кћерима њиховим женити и своје ћемо кћери удавати за њих.
22 Onely herein will the men consent vnto vs for to dwell with vs, and to be one people, if all the men children among vs be circumcised as they are circumcised.
Али ће тако пристати да живе с нама и да постанемо један народ, ако се све мушкиње међу нама обрежу, као што су они обрезани.
23 Shall not their flockes and their substance and all their cattell be ours? onely let vs consent herein vnto them, and they will dwell with vs.
Њихова стока и њихово благо и сва говеда њихова неће ли бити наша? Сложимо се само с њима, па ће остати код нас.
24 And vnto Hamor, and Shechem his sonne hearkened all that went out of the gate of his citie: and all the men children were circumcised, euen all that went out of the gate of his citie.
И који излажаху на врата града његовог, сви послушаше Емора и Сихема сина његовог; и обреза се све мушкиње, сви који излажаху на врата града његовог.
25 And on the thirde day (when they were sore) two of the sonnes of Iaakob, Simeon and Leui, Dinahs brethren tooke either of them his sworde and went into the citie boldly, and slue euery male.
А трећи дан кад они беху у боловима, узеше два сина Јаковљева Симеун и Левије, браћа Динина, сваки свој мач и уђоше слободно у град и побише све мушкиње.
26 They slewe also Hamor and Shechem his sonne with the edge of the sword, and tooke Dinah out of Shechems house, and went their way.
Убише и Емора и сина му Сихема оштрим мачем, и узевши Дину из куће Сихемове отидоше.
27 Againe the other sonnes of Iaakob came vpon the dead, and spoyled the citie, because they had defiled their sister.
Тада дођоше синови Јаковљеви на побијене, и опленише град, јер у њему би осрамоћена сестра њихова.
28 They tooke their sheepe and their beeues, and their asses, and whatsoeuer was in the citie, and in the fieldes.
И узеше овце њихове и говеда њихова и магарце њихове, шта год беше у граду и шта бод беше у пољу.
29 Also they caryed away captiue and spoyled all their goods, and all their children and their wiues, and all that was in the houses.
И све благо њихово, и сву децу и жене њихове похваташе и одведоше, и шта год беше у којој кући.
30 Then Iaakob said to Simeon and Leui, Ye haue troubled me, and made me stinke among the inhabitats of the land, aswell the Canaanites, as the Perizzites, and and I being few in nomber, they shall gather theselues together against me, and slay me, and so shall I, and my house be destroied.
А Јаков рече Симеуну и Левију; сметосте ме, и омразисте ме народу ове земље, Хананејима и Ферезејима; у мене има мало људи, па ако се скупе на ме, хоће ме убити те ћу се истребити ја и дом мој.
31 And they answered, Shoulde hee abuse our sister as a whore?
А они рекоше: Зар са сестром нашом да раде као с курвом?
