Genesis 34
1 Then Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare vnto Iaakob, went out to see the daughters of that countrey.
Şi Dina, fiica Leei, pe care i-a născut-o lui Iacob, a ieşit să vadă fiicele ţării.
2 Whome when Shechem the sonne of Hamor the Hiuite lorde of that countrey sawe, hee tooke her, and lay with her, and defiled her.
Şi când Sihem, fiul lui Hamor, hivitul, prinţ al ţinutului, a văzut-o, a luat-o şi s-a culcat cu ea şi a pângărit-o.
3 So his heart claue vnto Dinah the daughter of Iaakob: and he loued the maide, and spake kindely vnto the maide.
Şi sufletul lui s-a lipit de Dina, fiica lui Iacob, şi a iubit fata şi a vorbit frumos fetei.
4 Then said Shechem to his father Hamor, saying, Get me this maide to wife.
Şi Sihem i-a vorbit tatălui său, Hamor, spunând: Ia-mi această fată de soţie.
5 (Nowe Iaakob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter, and his sonnes were with his cattell in the fielde: therefore Iaakob helde his peace, vntill they were come.)
Şi Iacob a auzit că el a pângărit pe Dina, fiica sa; acum fiii lui erau cu vitele lui în câmp; şi Iacob a tăcut până ce au venit.
6 Then Hamor the father of Shechem went out vnto Iaakob to commune with him.
Şi Hamor, tatăl lui Sihem, a ieşit la Iacob să vorbească îndeaproape cu el.
7 And whe the sonnes of Iaakob were come out of the fielde and heard it, it grieued the men, and they were very angry, because he had wrought villenie in Israel, in that he had lyen with Iaakobs daughter: which thing ought not to be done.
Şi fiii lui Iacob au venit din câmp după ce au auzit aceasta şi bărbaţii erau îndureraţi şi s-au înfuriat, deoarece el lucrase prosteşte în Israel, culcându-se cu fiica lui Iacob, lucru care nu trebuia făcut.
8 And Hamor communed with them, saying, the soule of my sonne Shechem longeth for your daughter: giue her him to wife, I pray you.
Şi Hamor a vorbit îndeaproape cu ei, spunând: Sufletul fiului meu Sihem tânjeşte după fiica voastră. Vă rog daţi-o lui de soţie.
9 So make affinitie with vs: giue your daughters vnto vs, and take our daughters vnto you,
Şi încuscriţi-vă cu noi şi daţi-ne fiicele voastre şi luaţi pe fiicele noastre pentru voi.
10 And ye shall dwell with vs, and the lande shalbe before you: dwell, and doe your businesse in it, and haue your possessions therein.
Şi veţi locui cu noi şi ţara va fi înaintea voastră; locuiţi şi faceţi comerţ în ea şi dobândiţi-vă stăpâniri în ea.
11 Shechem also said vnto her father and vnto her brethren, Let me finde fauour in your eyes, and I will giue whatsoeuer ye shall appoint me.
Şi Sihem a spus tatălui ei şi fraţilor ei: Să găsesc har în ochii voştri şi ce îmi veţi spune vă voi da.
12 Aske of me abundantly both dowrie and giftes, and I will giue as ye appoint me, so that ye giue me the maide to wife.
Cereţi de la mine zestre mare şi dar şi voi da conform cu ceea ce îmi veţi spune, dar daţi-mi fata de soţie.
13 Then the sonnes of Iaakob answered Shechem and Hamor his father, talking deceitfully, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,
Şi fiii lui Iacob au răspuns lui Sihem şi Hamor, tatăl lui, în mod înşelător şi au spus, deoarece el o pângărise pe Dina sora lor,
14 And they said vnto them, We can not do this thing, to giue our sister to an vncircumcised man: for that were a reproofe vnto vs.
Şi le-au spus: Nu putem face acest lucru, să dăm pe sora noastră unui necircumcis; căci aceasta ar fi ocară pentru noi;
15 But in this will we consent vnto you, if ye will be as we are, that euery man childe among you be circumcised:
Dar în aceasta vă vom da acordul: dacă voi veţi fi precum suntem noi, ca fiecare parte bărbătească dintre voi să fie circumcis;
16 Then will we giue our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters to vs, and will dwell with you, and be one people.
Atunci vi le vom da pe fiicele noastre şi le vom lua pe fiicele voastre pentru noi şi vom locui cu voi şi vom deveni un singur popor.
17 But if ye will not hearken vnto vs to be circumcised, then will we take our daughter and depart.
Dar dacă nu ne veţi da ascultare, pentru a fi circumcişi, atunci o vom lua pe fiica noastră şi vom pleca.
18 Nowe their wordes pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamors sonne.
Şi cuvintele lor au plăcut lui Hamor şi lui Sihem, fiul lui Hamor.
19 And the yong man deferd not to doe the thing because he loued Iaakobs daughter: he was also the most set by of all his fathers house.
Şi tânărul nu a întârziat să facă aceasta, deoarece a avut desfătare în fiica lui Iacob şi el era demn de mai multă cinste decât toată casa tatălui său.
20 Then Hamor and Shechem his Sonne went vnto the gate of their citie, and communed with the men of their citie, saying,
Şi Hamor şi Sihem, fiul lui, au venit la poarta cetăţii lor şi au vorbit îndeaproape cu oamenii cetăţii lor, spunând:
21 These men are peaceable with vs: and that they may dwell in the land, and doe their affaires therin (for behold, the land hath roume ynough for them) let vs take their daughters to wiues, and giue them our daughters.
Aceşti oameni sunt paşnici cu noi; de aceea lăsaţi-i să locuiască în ţară şi să facă comerţ în ea, pentru că ţara, iată, este destul de mare şi pentru ei; să luăm pe fiicele lor de soţii pentru noi şi să le dăm pe fiicele noastre.
22 Onely herein will the men consent vnto vs for to dwell with vs, and to be one people, if all the men children among vs be circumcised as they are circumcised.
Doar prin aceasta ne vor da acordul bărbaţii pentru a locui cu noi, pentru a fi un singur popor, dacă fiecare parte bărbătească între noi ar fi circumcisă, precum sunt ei circumcişi.
23 Shall not their flockes and their substance and all their cattell be ours? onely let vs consent herein vnto them, and they will dwell with vs.
Nu vor fi turmele lor şi averea lor şi fiecare vită a lor, ale noastre? Doar să le dăm acordul şi vor locui cu noi.
24 And vnto Hamor, and Shechem his sonne hearkened all that went out of the gate of his citie: and all the men children were circumcised, euen all that went out of the gate of his citie.
Şi lui Hamor şi lui Sihem, fiul lui, au dat ascultare toţi cei care ieşeau pe poarta cetăţii sale; şi fiecare parte bărbătească a fost circumcisă, toţi cei care au ieşit pe poarta cetăţii sale.
25 And on the thirde day (when they were sore) two of the sonnes of Iaakob, Simeon and Leui, Dinahs brethren tooke either of them his sworde and went into the citie boldly, and slue euery male.
Şi s-a întâmplat în a treia zi, când erau în dureri, că doi dintre fiii lui Iacob, Simeon şi Levi, fraţii Dinei, şi-a luat fiecare bărbat sabia şi au venit peste cetate în mod cutezător şi au ucis toată partea bărbătească.
26 They slewe also Hamor and Shechem his sonne with the edge of the sword, and tooke Dinah out of Shechems house, and went their way.
Şi au ucis pe Hamor şi pe Sihem, fiul lui, cu tăişul sabiei şi au luat pe Dina din casa lui Sihem şi au ieşit.
27 Againe the other sonnes of Iaakob came vpon the dead, and spoyled the citie, because they had defiled their sister.
Fiii lui Iacob au venit peste cei ucişi şi au prădat cetatea, din cauză că au pângărit pe sora lor.
28 They tooke their sheepe and their beeues, and their asses, and whatsoeuer was in the citie, and in the fieldes.
Ei le-au luat oile şi boii lor şi măgarii lor şi ceea ce era în cetate şi ceea ce era în câmp.
29 Also they caryed away captiue and spoyled all their goods, and all their children and their wiues, and all that was in the houses.
Şi toată averea lor şi pe toţi micuţii lor şi pe soţiile lor i-au luat captivi şi au prădat de asemenea tot ce era în casă.
30 Then Iaakob said to Simeon and Leui, Ye haue troubled me, and made me stinke among the inhabitats of the land, aswell the Canaanites, as the Perizzites, and and I being few in nomber, they shall gather theselues together against me, and slay me, and so shall I, and my house be destroied.
Şi Iacob le-a spus lui Simeon şi lui Levi: Voi m-aţi tulburat să mă faceţi să put printre locuitorii ţării, printre canaaniţi şi periziţi; şi eu, fiind mic la număr, se vor aduna împreună împotriva mea şi mă vor ucide; şi voi fi nimicit, eu şi casa mea.
31 And they answered, Shoulde hee abuse our sister as a whore?
Iar ei au spus: Trebuia să se poarte el cu sora noastră precum cu o curvă?
