Genesis 33
1 And as Iaakob lift vp his eyes, and looked, behold, Esau came, and with him foure hundreth men: and he deuided the children to Leah, and to Rahel, and to the two maides.
Y alzando Jacob sus ojos miró, y he aquí venía Esaú, y los cuatrocientos hombres con él; entonces repartió él los niños entre Lea y Raquel y las dos siervas.
2 And he put the maides, and their children formost, and Leah, and her children after, and Rahel, and Ioseph hindermost.
Y puso las siervas y sus niños delante; luego a Lea y a sus niños; y a Raquel y a José los postreros.
3 So he went before them and bowed him selfe to the ground seuen times, vntill he came neere to his brother.
Y él pasó delante de ellos, y se inclinó a tierra siete veces, hasta que llegó a su hermano.
4 Then Esau ranne to meete him, and embraced him, and fell on his necke, and kissed him, and they wept.
Y Esaú corrió a su encuentro, y le abrazó, y se echó sobre su cuello, y le besó; y lloraron.
5 And he lift vp his eyes, and sawe the women, and the children, and saide, Who are these with thee? And he answered, They are ye childre whome God of his grace hath giuen thy seruant.
Y alzó sus ojos, y vio las mujeres y los niños, y dijo: ¿Quiénes son éstos? Y él respondió: Son los niños que Dios ha dado a tu siervo.
6 Then came the maides neere, they, and their children, and bowed themselues.
Y se llegaron las siervas, ellas y sus niños, y se inclinaron.
7 Leah also with her children came neere and made obeysance: and after Ioseph and Rahel drew neere, and did reuerence.
Y vino Lea con sus niños, y se inclinaron; y después llegó José y Raquel, y también se inclinaron.
8 Then he said, What meanest thou by all this droue, which I met? Who answered, I haue sent it, that I may finde fauour in the sight of my lorde:
Y él dijo: ¿Qué te propones con todas estas cuadrillas que he encontrado? Y él respondió: El hallar gracia en los ojos de mi señor.
9 And Esau said, I haue ynough, my brother: keepe that thou hast to thy selfe.
Y dijo Esaú: Suficiente tengo yo, hermano mío; sea para ti lo que es tuyo.
10 But Iaakob answered, Nay, I pray thee: if I haue found grace nowe in thy sight, then receiue my present at mine hande: for I haue seene thy face, as though I had seene the face of God, because thou hast accepted me.
Y dijo Jacob: No, yo te ruego, si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, toma mi presente de mi mano, que por eso he visto tu rostro, como si hubiera visto el rostro de Dios; y hazme placer.
11 I pray thee take my blessing, that is brought thee: for God hath had mercie on me, and therefore I haue all things: so he compelled him, and he tooke it.
Toma, te ruego, mi bendición que te es traída; porque Dios me ha hecho merced, y todo lo que hay aquí es mío. Y porfió con él, y la tomó.
12 And he saide, Let vs take our iourney and go, and I will goe before thee.
Y dijo: Anda, y vamos; y yo iré delante de ti.
13 Then he answered him, My lord knoweth, that the children are tender, and the ewes and kine with yong vnder mine hande: and if they should ouerdriue them one day, all the flocke would die.
Y él le dijo: Mi señor sabe que los niños son tiernos, y que tengo ovejas y vacas paridas; y si las fatigan, en un día morirán todas las ovejas.
14 Let now my lord go before his seruant, and I will driue softly, according to ye pase of ye cattel, which is before me, and as the children be able to endure, vntill I come to my lord vnto Seir.
Pase ahora mi señor delante de su siervo, y yo me iré poco a poco al paso de la hacienda que va delante de mí, y al paso de los niños, hasta que llegue a mi señor a Seir.
15 Then Esau said, I will leaue then some of my folke with thee. And he answered, what needeth this? let me finde grace in the sight of my lorde.
Y Esaú dijo: Dejaré ahora contigo de la gente que viene conmigo. Y él dijo: ¿Para qué esto? Halle yo gracia en los ojos de mi señor.
16 So Esau returned, and went his way that same day vnto Seir.
Así se volvió Esaú aquel día por su camino a Seir.
17 And Iaakob went forwarde towarde Succoth, and built him an house, and made boothes for his cattell: therefore he called the name of the place Succoth.
Y Jacob partió a Sucot, y edificó allí casa para sí, e hizo cabañas para su ganado; por tanto llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Sucot.
18 Afterward, Iaakob came safe to Sheche a citie, which is in the lande of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram, and pitched before the citie.
Y vino Jacob sano a la ciudad de Siquem, que está en la tierra de Canaán, cuando venía de Padan-aram; y se asentó delante de la ciudad.
19 And there he bought a parcell of ground, where hee pitched his tent, at the hande of the sonnes of Hamor Shechems father, for an hundreth pieces of money.
Y compró una parte del campo, donde tendió su tienda, de mano de los hijos de Hamor, padre de Siquem, por cien piezas de moneda.
20 And he set vp there an altar, and called it, The mightie God of Israel.
Y asentó allí un altar, y lo llamó: El Fuerte Dios de Israel.
