Genesis 33
1 And as Iaakob lift vp his eyes, and looked, behold, Esau came, and with him foure hundreth men: and he deuided the children to Leah, and to Rahel, and to the two maides.
Jakob levis siajn okulojn, kaj vidis, ke jen venas Esav kaj kun li kvarcent homoj. Tiam li dividis la infanojn de Lea kaj de Raĥel kaj de la du sklavinoj.
2 And he put the maides, and their children formost, and Leah, and her children after, and Rahel, and Ioseph hindermost.
Kaj li starigis la sklavinojn kaj iliajn infanojn antaŭe, Lean kun ŝiaj infanoj poste, kaj Raĥelon kun Jozef en la fino.
3 So he went before them and bowed him selfe to the ground seuen times, vntill he came neere to his brother.
Kaj li mem pasis preter ilin, kaj kliniĝis ĝis la tero sep fojojn, antaŭ ol li atingis sian fraton.
4 Then Esau ranne to meete him, and embraced him, and fell on his necke, and kissed him, and they wept.
Sed Esav kuris al li renkonte kaj ĉirkaŭprenis lin, kaj ĵetis sin sur lian kolon kaj kisis lin; kaj ili ploris.
5 And he lift vp his eyes, and sawe the women, and the children, and saide, Who are these with thee? And he answered, They are ye childre whome God of his grace hath giuen thy seruant.
Esav levis siajn okulojn kaj ekvidis la virinojn kaj la infanojn, kaj diris: Kiuj estas ĉe vi ĉi tiuj? Jakob respondis: La infanoj, kiujn Dio favore donis al via sklavo.
6 Then came the maides neere, they, and their children, and bowed themselues.
Tiam alproksimiĝis la sklavinoj, ili kaj iliaj infanoj, kaj profunde kliniĝis.
7 Leah also with her children came neere and made obeysance: and after Ioseph and Rahel drew neere, and did reuerence.
Poste alproksimiĝis ankaŭ Lea kaj ŝiaj infanoj kaj kliniĝis; fine alproksimiĝis Jozef kaj Raĥel kaj kliniĝis.
8 Then he said, What meanest thou by all this droue, which I met? Who answered, I haue sent it, that I may finde fauour in the sight of my lorde:
Tiam Esav diris: Kio estas tiu tuta taĉmento, kiun mi renkontis? Kaj Jakob respondis: Por akiri la favoron de mia sinjoro.
9 And Esau said, I haue ynough, my brother: keepe that thou hast to thy selfe.
Sed Esav diris: Mi havas multe, mia frato; kio apartenas al vi, tio restu ĉe vi.
10 But Iaakob answered, Nay, I pray thee: if I haue found grace nowe in thy sight, then receiue my present at mine hande: for I haue seene thy face, as though I had seene the face of God, because thou hast accepted me.
Kaj Jakob diris: Ho ne! se mi akiris vian favoron, prenu mian donacon el mia mano; ĉar mi vidis vian vizaĝon, kvazaŭ mi vidus la vizaĝon de Dio, kaj vi montriĝis favora al mi.
11 I pray thee take my blessing, that is brought thee: for God hath had mercie on me, and therefore I haue all things: so he compelled him, and he tooke it.
Prenu mian benon, kiu estas alportita al vi; ĉar Dio favore donis al mi kaj mi havas ĉion. Kaj li insistis, kaj tiu prenis.
12 And he saide, Let vs take our iourney and go, and I will goe before thee.
Kaj Esav diris: Ni leviĝu kaj iru, kaj mi iros apud vi.
13 Then he answered him, My lord knoweth, that the children are tender, and the ewes and kine with yong vnder mine hande: and if they should ouerdriue them one day, all the flocke would die.
Sed Jakob diris al li: Mia sinjoro scias, ke la infanoj estas malfortaj, kaj la ŝafoj kaj bovoj ĉe mi estas tro junaj; se oni pelos ilin dum unu tago, la brutaro mortos.
14 Let now my lord go before his seruant, and I will driue softly, according to ye pase of ye cattel, which is before me, and as the children be able to endure, vntill I come to my lord vnto Seir.
Mia sinjoro iru antaŭ sia sklavo, kaj mi kondukos malrapide, kiel iros la brutoj, kiuj estas antaŭ mi, kaj kiel iros la infanoj, ĝis mi venos al mia sinjoro en Seir.
15 Then Esau said, I will leaue then some of my folke with thee. And he answered, what needeth this? let me finde grace in the sight of my lorde.
Tiam Esav diris: Mi restigos ĉe vi iujn el la homoj, kiuj estas kun mi. Sed Jakob diris: Por kio? lasu min nur posedi la favoron de mia sinjoro.
16 So Esau returned, and went his way that same day vnto Seir.
Kaj en tiu tago Esav returne foriris sian vojon al Seir.
17 And Iaakob went forwarde towarde Succoth, and built him an house, and made boothes for his cattell: therefore he called the name of the place Succoth.
Kaj Jakob ekiris al Sukot kaj konstruis al si domon, kaj por siaj brutoj li faris kabanojn; tial la loko ricevis la nomon Sukot.
18 Afterward, Iaakob came safe to Sheche a citie, which is in the lande of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram, and pitched before the citie.
Veninte el Mezopotamio, Jakob alvenis bonstate en la urbo de Ŝeĥem, kiu estas en la lando Kanaana; kaj li starigis sian tendaron antaŭ la urbo.
19 And there he bought a parcell of ground, where hee pitched his tent, at the hande of the sonnes of Hamor Shechems father, for an hundreth pieces of money.
Kaj la kampoparton, sur kiu li starigis sian tendon, li aĉetis el la manoj de la filoj de Ĥamor, la patro de Ŝeĥem, por cent kesitoj.
20 And he set vp there an altar, and called it, The mightie God of Israel.
Kaj li starigis tie altaron, kaj li nomis ĝin El, la Dio de Izrael.
