Genesis 31
1 Now he heard the words of Labans sonnes, saying, Iaakob hath taken away all that was our fathers, and of our fathers goods hath he gotten all this honour.
Ary Jakoba nandre ny tenin’ ny zanakalahin’ i Labana nanao hoe: Efa lasan’ i Jakoba avokoa izay rehetra nananan’ ny raintsika; ary avy tamin’ ny fananan’ ny raintsika no nahazoany izao voninahitra rehetra izao.
2 Also Iaakob beheld the countenance of Laban, that it was not towards him as in times past:
Ary hitan’ i Jakoba ny tarehin’ i Labana, fa indro tsy mba miramirana taminy tahaka ny taloha izy.
3 And the Lord had said vnto Iaakob, Turne againe into the lande of thy fathers, and to thy kinred, and I wilbe with thee.
Ary hoy Jehovah tamin’ i Jakoba: Modia any amin’ ny tanin’ ny razanao sy any amin’ ny havanao; ary homba anao Aho.
4 Therefore Iaakob sent and called Rahel and Leah to the fielde vnto his flocke.
Ary Jakoba naniraka ka nampaka an-dRahely sy Lea hankany an-tsaha ho any amin’ ny ondry aman’ osiny
5 Then sayde hee vnto them, I see your fathers countenance, that it is not towardes me as it was wont, and the God of my father hath bene with me.
ka nanao taminy hoe: Hitako ny tarehin’ ny rainareo, fa tsy mba miramirana amiko tahaka ny taloha; fa Andriamanitry ny raiko no efa nomba ahy.
6 And yee knowe that I haue serued your father with all my might.
Ary fantatrareo fa tamin’ ny heriko rehetra no nanompoako ny rainareo.
7 But your father hath deceiued me, and changed my wages tenne times: but God suffred him not to hurt me.
Fa ny rainareo efa namitaka ahy ka efa nanova ny karamako im-polo; nefa tsy navelan’ Andriamanitra hahatonga loza tamiko izy.
8 If he thus sayd, The spotted shall be thy wages, then all the sheepe bare spotted: and if he sayd thus, the party coloured shalbe thy rewarde, then bare all the sheepe particoloured.
Raha nilaza hoe izy: Ny mara rehetra ho karamanao, dia niteraka mara ny ondry aman’ osy rehetra: ary raha nilaza hoe indray izy: Ny sadika rehetra ho karamanao, dia niteraka sadika ny ondry aman’ osy rehetra.
9 Thus hath God taken away your fathers substance, and giuen it me.
Dia nalain’ Andriamanitra ny fananan’ ny rainareo ka nomeny ahy.
10 For in ramming time I lifted vp mine eyes and saw in a dreame, and beholde, ye hee goates leaped vpon the shee goates, that were partie coloured with litle and great spots spotted.
Ary rehefa mby amin’ ny andro izay nikambanan’ ny ondry aman’ osy, dia natopiko ny masoko, ka hitako tamin’ ny nofy, ary indro, sadika sy mara ary sada ny lahy izay nikambana tamin’ ny ondrivavy sy ny osivavy.
11 And the Angel of God sayde to mee in a dreame, Iaakob. And I answered, Lo, I am here.
Ary hoy Ilay Anjelin’ Andriamanitra tamiko tamin’ ny nofy: Ry Jakoba; dia hoy izaho: Inty aho.
12 And he sayde, Lift vp nowe thine eyes, and see all the hee goates leaping vpon ye shee goates that are partie coloured, spotted with litle and great spots: for I haue seene all that Laban doeth vnto thee.
Ary hoy Izy: Mba atopazy ny masonao ka jereo, fa sadika sy mara ary sada ny lahy rehetra izay mikambana amin’ ny ondrivavy sy ny osivavy, satria efa hitako izay rehetra nataon’ i Labana taminao.
13 I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anoyntedst the pillar, where thou vowedst a vowe vnto me. Nowe arise, get thee out of this countrey and returne vnto ye land where thou wast borne.
Izaho no Andriamanitr’ i Betela, izay nanosoranao tsangam-bato sy nivoadianao tamiko; miaingà ankehitriny hiala amin’ ity tany ity, ka modia any amin’ ny tany nahaterahanao.
14 Then answered Rahel and Leah, and sayde vnto him, Haue wee any more porcion and inheritance in our fathers house?
Dia namaly Rahely sy Lea ka nanao taminy hoe: Mbola misy anjara sy lova ho anay va ao an-tranon’ ny rainay?
15 Doeth not he count vs as strangers? for he hath solde vs, and hath eaten vp and consumed our money.
Tsy nataony toy ny vahiny va izahay? Fa efa namidiny izahay sady nohaniny lalandava ny volanay rehetra.
16 Therefore all the riches, which God hath taken from our father, is ours and our childrens: nowe then whatsoeuer God hath saide vnto thee, doe it.
Fa ny harena rehetra izay nalain’ Andriamanitra tamin’ ny rainay, dia anay sy an’ ny zanakay izany; koa ankehitriny, izay rehetra nolazain’ Andriamanitra taminao dia ataovy.
17 Then Iaakob rose vp, and set his sonnes and his wiues vpon camels.
Dia niainga Jakoba, ka nampitaingeniny ny rameva ny zanany sy ny vadiny;
18 And he caried away all his flockes, and al his substance which he had gotten, to wit, his riches, which he had gotten in Padan Aram, to goe to Izhak his father vnto the land of Canaan.
dia nitondra ny ombiny sy ny ondry aman’ osiny rehetra izy, mbamin’ ny fananana rehetra izay efa nohariny, dia ny omby aman’ ondry izay efa azony tany Mesopotamia, mba hankany amin’ Isaka rainy any amin’ ny tany Kanana.
19 Whe Laban was gone to shere his sheepe, Then Rahel stole her fathers idoles.
Ary Labana efa lasa nandeha hanety ny ondry aman’ osiny; dia nangalarin-dRahely ny sampin-drainy.
20 Thus Iaakob stole away ye heart of Laban the Aramite: for he told him not that he fled.
Ary Jakoba dia nangala-dia tamin’ i Labana Syriana, fa tsy nambarany taminy ny amin’ ny handosirany.
21 So fled he with all that he had, and he rose vp, and passed the riuer, and set his face towarde mount Gilead.
Ary nandositra izy ka nitondra ny fananany rehetra; dia niainga izy ka nita ny Ony, ary nizotra hankany an-tendrombohitra Gileada.
22 And the third day after was it told Laban, that Iaakob fled.
Ary tamin’ ny andro fahatelo dia nisy nanambara tamin’ i Labana fa lasa nandositra Jakoba.
23 Then he tooke his brethren with him, and followed after him seuen dayes iourney, and ouertooke him at mount Gilead.
Dia nitondra ny havany homba azy izy ka nanenjika azy lalan-kafitoana, dia nahatratra azy teo an-tendrombohitra Gileada.
24 And God came to Laban the Aramite in a dreame by night, and sayde vnto him, Take heede that thou speake not to Iaakob ought saue good.
Fa Andriamanitra nankeo amin’ i Labana Syriana tamin’ ny nofy nony alina ka nanao taminy hoe: Tandremo mba tsy hasianao teny akory Jakoba, na soa na ratsy.
25 Then Laban ouertooke Iaakob, and Iaakob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban also with his brethren pitched vpon mount Gilead.
Ary Labana dia nahatratra an’ i Jakoba. Ary Jakoba dia efa nanorina ny lainy teo an-tendrombohitra; ary Labana sy ny havany kosa nanorin-day teo an-tendrombohitr’ i Gileada.
26 Then Laban sayde to Iaakob, What hast thou done? thou hast euen stolen away mine heart and caried away my daughters as though they had bene taken captiues with the sworde.
Ary hoy Labana tamin’ i Jakoba: Inona izao ataonao izao, no dia nangala-dia tamiko ianao ka nitondra ny zanako-vavy toy ny babo azo tamin’ ny sabatra?
27 Wherfore diddest thou flie so secretly and steale away from me, and diddest not tel me, that I might haue sent thee foorth with mirth and with songs, with timbrel and with harpe?
Nahoana no nandositra mangingina ianao ka nangala-dia tamiko; ary tsy nanambara tamiko ianao mba hanaterako anao amin’ ny fifaliana sy ny hira, amin’ ny ampongatapaka sy ny lokanga,
28 But thou hast not suffered me to kisse my sonnes and my daughters: nowe thou hast done foolishly in doing so.
sady tsy mba navelanao hanoroka ny zanako-lahy sy ny zanako-vavy aho? Fa izao dia efa nanao adaladala ianao.
29 I am able to do you euill: but the God of your father spake vnto me yesternight, saying, Take heed that thou speake not to Iaakob ought saue good.
Manan-kery hanisy ratsy anareo ny tanako; fa Andriamanitry ny rainareo efa niteny tamiko halina ka nanao hoe: Tandremo mba tsy hasianao teny akory Jakoba, na soa na ratsy.
30 Nowe though thou wentest thy way, because thou greatly longedst after thy fathers house, yet wherefore hast thou stollen my gods?
Ary ankehitriny, raha mandeha tokoa ianao, satria manina ny tranon’ ny rainao indrindra ianao, nahoana no nangalarinao ny andriamanitro?
31 Then Iaakob answered, and said to Laban, Because I was afraid, and thought that thou wouldest haue taken thy daughters from me.
Dia namaly Jakoba ka nanao tamin’ i Labana hoe: Satria natahotra aho; fa hoy izaho: Angamba halainao an-keriny amiko ny zanakao-vavy.
32 But with whome thou findest thy gods, let him not liue. Search thou before our brethre what I haue of thine, and take it to thee, (but Iaakob wist not that Rahel had stolen them)
Izay hahitanao ny andriamanitrao dia aza velomina; eto anatrehan’ ny havantsika savao izay ato amiko, ka ento ny anao. Fa tsy fantatr’ i Jakoba fa Rahely no efa nangalatra azy.
33 Then came Laban into Iaakobs tent, and into Leahs tent, and into the two maides tentes, but founde them not. So hee went out of Leahs tent, and entred into Rahels tent.
Ary Labana niditra tao an-dain’ i Jakoba sy tao an-dain’ i Lea ary tao an-dain’ ny ankiziny roa vavy, fa tsy nahita. Dia niala tao an-dain’ i Lea izy ka niditra tao an-dain-Rahely.
34 (Nowe Rahel had taken the idoles, and put them in the camels litter and sate downe vpon them) and Laban searched al the tent, but found them not.
Fa efa nalain-dRahely ny sampy ka nataony tao anatin’ ny laselin’ ny rameva, dia nipetraka teo amboniny izy. Ary Labana dia nikaroka eran’ ny lay rehetra, fa tsy nahita.
35 Then said she to her father, My Lord, be not angrie that I cannot rise vp before thee: for the custome of women is vpon me: so he searched, but found not the idoles.
Ary hoy Rahely tamin’ ny rainy: Aza fady aho, tompokolahy, fa tsy mahazo mitsangana eto anatrehanao aho, satria azon’ ny fombam-behivavy. Dia nikaroka fatratra izy, fa tsy nahita ny sampy.
36 The Iaakob was wroth, and chode with Laban: Iaakob also answered and sayd to Laban, What haue I trespassed? what haue I offended, that thou hast pursued after me?
Dia tezitra Jakoba ka nifamaly tamin’ i Labana; ary namaly Jakoba ka nanao tamin’ i Labana hoe: Inona no heloko? inona no otako, no dia niolomay nanenjika ahy ianao?
37 Seeing thou hast searched all my stuffe, what hast thou foud of all thine houshold stuffe? put it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may iudge betweene vs both.
Fa efa nosavanao avokoa ny entako rehetra, koa inona no fanaka avy tany an-tranonao hitanao tao? Apetraho eto anatrehan’ ny havako sy ny havanao izany, hitsarany antsika roa lahy,
38 This twenty yere I haue bin with thee: thine ewes and thy goates haue not cast their yong, and the rammes of thy flocke haue I not eaten.
Izao roa-polo taona izao no nitoerako tany aminao; ny ondrivavinao sy ny osivavinao tsy mba namotsotra, ary tsy mba nihinana ny ondrilahy avy tamin’ ny ondrinao aho.
39 Whatsoeuer was torne of beasts, I brought it not vnto thee, but made it good my selfe: of mine hand diddest thou require it, were it stollen by day or stollen by night.
Izay voaviraviram-biby tsy mba nentiko tany aminao, fa izaho no nanolo azy; teo an-tanako no nitadiavanao azy, na ny nangalarina andro, na ny nangalarina alina.
40 I was in the day consumed with heate, and with frost in the night, and my sleepe departed from mine eyes.
Nony antoandro matin’ ny hain’ andro aho, ary nony alina dia matin’ ny fanala; ary nandositra ny masoko ny torimaso.
41 Thus haue I bene twentie yeere in thine house, and serued thee fourteene yeeres for thy two daughters, and sixe yeeres for thy sheepe, and thou hast changed my wages tenne times.
Izao roa-polo taona izao no nitoerako tany an-tranonao, ka efatra ambin’ ny folo taona no nanompoako anao hahazoako azy mirahavavy zanakao, ary enin-taona kosa hahazoako ny ondry aman’ osinao, ary efa nanova ny karamako im-polo ianao.
42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the feare of Izhak had bene with me, surely thou haddest sent me away nowe emptie: but God behelde my tribulation, and the labour of mine hads, and rebuked thee yester night.
Raha tsy Andriamanitry ny raiko, dia Andriamanitr’ i Abrahama, Ilay natahoran’ Isaka, no nomba ahy, dia ho nampandehaninao maina tokoa aho ankehitriny. Andriamanitra efa nitsinjo ny fahoriako sy ny fisasaran’ ny tanako ka nananatra anao halina.
43 Then Laban answered, and saide vnto Iaakob, These daughters are my daughters, and these sonnes are my sonnes, and these sheepe are my sheepe, and all that thou seest, is mine, and what can I doe this day vnto these my daughters, or to their sonnes which they haue borne?
Dia namaly Labana ka nanao tamin’ i Jakoba hoe: Ireo zazavavy ireo dia zanako-vavy ary ireo zazalahy ireo dia zanako-lahy; ary ireo ondry aman’ osy ireo dia ondry aman’ osiko; ary izao rehetra hitanao izao dia ahy avokoa; ary ahoana no hataoko anio amin’ ireto zanako-vavy, na amin’ ny zanany naterany?
44 Nowe therefore come and let vs make a couenant, I and thou, which may be a witnes betweene me and thee.
Koa ankehitriny avia hanao fanekena isika, dia izaho sy ianao, ka aoka ho vavolombelona amiko sy aminao izany.
45 Then tooke Iaakob a stone, and set it vp as a pillar:
Dia naka vato iray Jakoba ka nanangana azy ho tsangam-bato.
46 And Iaakob sayde vnto his brethren, Gather stones: who brought stones, and made an heape, and they did eate there vpon the heape.
Ary hoy Jakoba tamin’ ireo havany: Manangòna vato; dia naka vato izy, ka nataony antontany; ary dia nihinana teo anilan’ ny antontam-bato izy rehetra.
47 And Laban called it Iegar-sahadutha, and Iaakob called it Galeed.
Ary ny anaran’ ny antontam-bato dia nataon’ i Labana hoe Jegara-sahadota; fa Jakoba kosa nanao azy hoe Galeda.
48 For Laban sayd, This heape is witnesse betweene me and thee this day: therefore he called the name of it Galeed.
Ary hoy Labana: Ity antontam-bato ity no vavolombelona amintsika anio. Izany no nanaovany ny anarany hoe Galeda.
49 Also he called it Mizpah, because he said, The Lord looke betweene me and thee, when we shalbe departed one from another,
Ary nataony hoe Mizpa koa izy, fa hoy izy: Jehovah hitazana ahy sy ianao, rehefa tsy mifankahita isika.
50 If thou shalt vexe my daughters, or shalt take wiues beside my daughters: there is no man with vs, beholde, God is witnesse betweene me and thee.
Raha tahìny hampahory ny zanako-vavy ianao, na hanambady afa-tsy ireo zanako-vavy ireo ihany, tsy misy olona eto amintsika, fa, indro, Andriamanitra no ho vavolombelona amintsika.
51 Moreouer Laban sayd to Iaakob, Beholde this heape, and behold the pillar, which I haue set betweene me and thee,
Ary hoy indray Labana tamin’ i Jakoba: Indro ity antontam-bato ity, ary indro ity tsangam-bato ity izay naoriko eto anelanelantsika, izaho sy ianao;
52 This heape shall be witnesse, and the pillar shall be witnesse, that I will not come ouer this heape to thee, and that thou shalt not passe ouer this heape and this pillar vnto me for euill.
dia aoka ho vavolombelona ity antontam-bato ity, ary aoka ho vavolombelona ity tsangam-bato ity, mba tsy hihoarako ity antontam-bato ity hankany aminao, ary mba tsy hihoaranao ity antontam-bato ity sy ity tsangam-bato ity hankatỳ amiko kosa hanisy ratsy.
53 The God of Abraham, and the God of Nabor, and the God of their father be iudge betweene vs: But Iaakob sware by the feare of his father Izhak.
Ny andriamanitr’ i Abrahama sy ny andriamanitr’ i Nahora, dia ny andriamanitry ny rain’ izy mirahalahy anie hitsara antsika. Fa Ilay natahoran’ i Isaka rainy kosa no nianianan’ i Jakoba.
54 Then Iaakob did offer a sacrifice vpon the mount, and called his brethren to eate bread. and they did eate bread, and taried all night in the mount.
Dia namono zavatra hatao fanatitra teo an-tendrombohitra Jakoba ka nanasa ny havany mba hihinan-kanina; dia nihinana izy ka nitoetra teo an-tendrombohitra nandritra ny alina,
55 And earely in the morning Laban rose vp and kissed his sonnes and his daughters, and blessed them, and Laban departing, went vnto his place againe.
Ary nifoha maraina koa Labana, dia nanoroka ny zananilahy sy ny zananivavy ka nitso-drano azy; dia lasa nandeha Labana nody any amin’ ny fonenany.
