Genesis 30

1 And when Rahel saw that she bare Iaakob no children, Rahel enuied her sister, and said vnto Iaakob, Giue me children, or els I dye.

Ko je Rahela videla, da Jakobu ne rojeva otrok, je Rahela zavidala svoji sestri in Jakobu rekla: »Daj mi otroke, sicer umrem.«

2 Then Iaakobs anger was kindled against Rahel, and he sayde, Am I in Gods steade, which hath withholden from thee the fruite of the wombe?

Jakobova jeza je bila vžgana zoper Rahelo in rekel je: » Sem jaz namesto Boga, ki je pred teboj zadržal sad tvoje maternice?«

3 And she said, Behold my maide Bilhah, goe in to her, and she shall beare vpon my knees, and I shall haue children also by her.

Rekla je: »Glej, moja služabnica Bilha, pojdi noter vanjo in rodila bo na mojih kolenih, da bom po njej tudi jaz lahko imela otroke.«

4 Then shee gaue him Bilhah her mayde to wife, and Iaakob went in to her.

In dala mu je za ženo Bilho, svojo pomočnico, in Jakob je šel noter k njej.

5 So Bilhah conceiued and bare Iaakob a sonne.

Bilha je spočela in Jakobu rodila sina.

6 Then said Rahel, God hath giuen sentence on my side, and hath also heard my voyce, and hath giuen mee a sonne: therefore called shee his name, Dan.

Rahela je rekla: »Bog me je sodil in je tudi slišal moj glas in mi dal sina, « zato je njegovo ime imenovala Dan.

7 And Bilhah Rahels maide coceiued againe, and bare Iaakob the second sonne.

Rahelina služabnica Bilha je ponovno spočela in Jakobu rodila drugega sina.

8 Then Rahel said, with excellent wrestlings haue I wrestled with my sister, and haue gotten the vpper hande: and shee called his name, Naphtali.

Rahela je rekla: »Z velikimi boji sem se bojevala s svojo sestro in sem prevladala, « in njegovo ime je imenovala Neftáli.

9 And when Leah saw that she had left bearing, shee tooke Zilpah her mayde, and gaue her Iaakob to wife.

Ko je Lea videla, da je prenehala rojevati, je vzela svojo služabnico Zilpo in jo dala Jakobu za ženo.

10 And Zilpah Leahs mayde bare Iaakob a sonne.

Leina služabnica Zilpa je Jakobu rodila sina.

11 Then sayd Leah, A companie commeth: and she called his name, Gad.

Lea je rekla: »Prihaja krdelo, « in njegovo ime je imenovala Gad.

12 Againe Zilpah Leahs mayde bare Iaakob another sonne.

Leina služabnica Zilpa je Jakobu rodila drugega sina.

13 Then sayde Leah, Ah, blessed am I, for the daughters will blesse me. and she called his name, Asher.

Lea je rekla: »Srečna sem, kajti hčere me bodo imenovale blagoslovljena, « in njegovo ime je imenovala Aser.

14 Nowe Reuben went in the dayes of the wheateharuest, and founde mandrakes in the fielde and brought them vnto his mother Leah. Then sayde Rahel to Leah, Giue me, I pray thee, of thy sonnes mandrakes.

Ruben je šel v dneh pšenične žetve in na polju našel nadliščke in jih prinesel svoji materi Lei. Potem je Rahela rekla Lei: »Daj mi, prosim te, nadliščke svojega sina.«

15 But shee answered her, Is it a small matter for thee to take mine husband, except thou take my sonnes mandrakes also? Then sayde Rahel, Therefore he shall sleepe with thee this night for thy sonnes mandrakes.

Ta pa ji je rekla: » Je to majhna zadeva, da si mi vzela soproga? In hočeš mi vzeti tudi nadliščke mojega sina?« Rahela je rekla: »Zato bo to noč ležal s teboj za nadliščke tvojega sina.«

16 And Iaakob came from the fielde in the euening, and Leah went out to meete him, and sayde, Come in to mee, for I haue bought and payed for thee with my sonnes mandrakes: and he slept with her that night.

Jakob je zvečer prišel iz polja in Lea je odšla ven, da ga sreča ter mu rekla: »Moraš priti noter k meni, kajti zagotovo sem te najela z nadliščki svojega sina.« In to noč je ležal z njo.

17 And God heard Leah and shee conceiued, and bare vnto Iaakob the fift sonne.

Bog je prisluhnil Lei in je spočela in Jakobu rodila petega sina.

18 Then said Leah, God hath giuen me my reward, because I gaue my mayde to my husband, and she called his name Issachar.

Lea je rekla: »Bog mi je dal najemnino, ker sem svojo deklo dala svojemu soprogu, « in njegovo ime je imenovala Isahár.

19 After, Leah conceiued againe, and bare Iaakob the sixt sonne.

Lea je ponovno spočela in Jakobu rodila šestega sina.

20 Then Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowrie: nowe will mine husband dwell with me, because I haue borne him sixe sonnes: and she called his name Zebulun.

Lea je rekla: »Bog me je opremil z dobro doto. Sedaj bo moj soprog prebival z menoj, ker sem mu rodila šest sinov« in njegovo ime je imenovala Zábulon.

21 After that, shee bare a daughter, and shee called her name Dinah.

Potem je rodila hčer in njeno ime je imenovala Dina.

22 And God remembred Rahel, and God heard her, and opened her wombe.

Bog pa se je spomnil Rahele in Bog ji je prisluhnil ter odprl njeno maternico.

23 So she conceiued and bare a sonne, and said, God hath taken away my rebuke.

Spočela je in rodila sina in rekla: »Bog je odvzel mojo grajo, «

24 And shee called his name Ioseph, saying, The Lord wil giue me yet another sonne.

in njegovo ime je imenovala Jožef; in rekla: » Gospod mi bo dodal [še] drugega sina.«

25 And assoone as Rahel had borne Ioseph, Iaakob said to Laban, Sende me away that I may go vnto my place and to my countrey.

Pripetilo se je, ko je Rahela rodila Jožefa, da je Jakob rekel Labánu: »Pošlji me proč, da lahko grem na svoj lasten kraj in v svojo deželo.

26 Giue me my wiues and my children, for whom I haue serued thee, and let me go: for thou knowest what seruice I haue done thee.

Daj mi moje žene in moje otroke, za katere sem ti služil in me pusti iti, kajti poznaš mojo službo, ki sem ti jo opravljal.«

27 To whom Laban answered, If I haue nowe found fauour in thy sight tarie: I haue perceiued that the Lord hath blessed me for thy sake.

Labán mu je rekel: »Prosim te, če sem v tvojih očeh našel naklonjenost, ostani, kajti iz izkušnje sem se naučil, da me je Gospod zaradi tebe blagoslovil.«

28 Also he said, Appoynt vnto me thy wages, and I will giue it thee.

In rekel je: »Določi mi svoja plačila in dal ti jih bom.«

29 But he sayd vnto him, Thou knowest, what seruice I haue done thee, and in what taking thy cattell hath bene vnder me.

Rekel mu je: »Ti veš kako sem ti služil in kako je bila tvoja živina z menoj.

30 For the litle, that thou haddest before I came, is increased into a multitude: and the Lord hath blessed thee by my comming: but nowe when shall I trauell for mine owne house also?

Kajti bilo je malo, kar si imel, preden sem prišel in to je sedaj naraslo v množico in Gospod te je od mojega prihoda blagoslavljal. Kdaj bom torej poskrbel tudi za svojo lastno hišo?«

31 Then he saide, What shall I giue thee? And Iaakob answered, Thou shalt giue mee nothing at all: if thou wilt doe this thing for mee, I will returne, feede, and keepe thy sheepe.

In rekel je: »Kaj naj ti dam?« Jakob je rekel: »Nobene stvari mi ne boš dal. Če hočeš zame storiti to stvar, bom ponovno pasel in varoval tvoj trop.

32 I wil passe through all thy flockes this day, and separate from them all the sheepe with litle spots and great spots, and al blacke lambes among the sheepe, and the great spotted, and litle spotted among the goates: and it shalbe my wages.

Danes pojdem skozi ves tvoj trop in iz njega odstranim vso lisasto in pikasto živino in vso rjavo živino med ovcami in pikasto ter lisasto med kozami. Od teh bo moja najemnina.

33 So shall my righteousnesse answere for me hereafter, when it shall come for my rewarde before thy face, and euery one that hath not litle or great spots among the goates, and blacke among the sheepe, the same shalbe theft with me.

Tako bo moja pravičnost odgovarjala zame v času, ki pride, ko bo prišel, za moj najem pred tvojim obrazom. Vse, kar ni lisasto in pikasto med kozami in rjavo med ovcami, to bo pri meni šteto za ukradeno.«

34 Then Laban sayde, Goe to, woulde God it might be according to thy saying.

Labán je rekel: »Glej, hočem, da bi bilo glede na tvojo besedo.«

35 Therefore he tooke out the same day the hee goates that were partie coloured and with great spots, and all the shee goates with litle and great spots, and all that had white in them, and all the blacke among the sheepe, and put them in the keeping of his sonnes.

In ta dan je odstranil kozle, ki so bili krožno progasti in pikasti in vse koze, ki so bile lisaste in pikaste in vsako, ki je imela na sebi nekaj belega in vse rjavo med ovcami in jih dal v roko svojih sinov.

36 And hee set three dayes iourney betweene himselfe and Iaakob. And Iaakob kept the rest of Labans sheepe.

Med seboj in Jakobom je določil tri dni potovanja in Jakob je hranil preostanek Labánovih tropov.

37 Then Iaakob tooke rods of greene popular, and of hasell, and of the chesnut tree, and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appeare in the rods.

Jakob si je vzel šibe zelenega topola in od leskovega in kostanjevega drevesa in na njih olupil bele proge in storil, da se prikaže belina, ki je bila na šibah.

38 Then he put the rods, which he had pilled, in the gutters and watering troughes, when the sheepe came to drink, before the sheepe. (for they were in heate, when they came to drinke)

Palice, ki jih je olupil, je postavljal pred trope v žlebove, v napajalna korita, ko so tropi prišli, da pijejo, da bi se obrejili, ko so prišli pit.

39 And the sheepe were in heate before the rods, and afterward brought forth yong of partie colour, and with small and great spots.

Tropi so se obrejili pred palicami in skotili krožno progasto, lisasto in pikasto živino.

40 And Iaakob parted these lambes, and turned the faces of the flocke towardes these lambes partie coloured and all maner of blacke, among the sheepe of Laban: so hee put his owne flockes by themselues, and put them not with Labans flocke.

Jakob je v Labánovem tropu ločeval jagnjeta in postavljal obraze tropov h krožno progastemu in vsemu rjavemu. Svoje lastne trope pa je spravljal posebej in jih ni spravljal v Labánovo živino.

41 And in euery ramming time of the stronger sheepe, Iaakob layde the rods before the eyes of the sheepe in the gutters, that they might conceiue before the rods.

Pripetilo se je, da kadarkoli se je brejila močnejša živina, je Jakob polagal šibe pred očmi živine v žlebove, da bi se lahko obrejile med palicami.

42 But when the sheepe were feeble, hee put them not in: and so the feebler were Labans, and the stronger Iaakobs.

Toda ko je bila živina slabotna, jih ni polagal. Tako je bila slabotnejša živina Labánova, močnejša pa Jakobova.

43 So the man increased exceedingly, and had many flockes, and maide seruantes, and men seruants, and camels and asses.

Mož je silno narasel in imel mnogo živine, dekel, slug, kamel in oslov.
