Genesis 25

1 Nowe Abraham had taken him another wife called Keturah,

Şi Avraam şi-a mai luat o soţie şi numele ei era Chetura.

2 Which bare him Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

Şi ea i-a născut pe Zimran şi pe Iocşan şi pe Medan şi pe Madian şi pe Işbac şi pe Şuah.

3 And Iokshan begate Sheba, and Dedan: And the sonnes of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Şi Iocşan a născut pe Şeba şi pe Dedan. Şi fiii lui Dedan au fost: Aşurim şi Letuşim şi Leumim.

4 Also the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah all these were the sonnes of Keturah.

Şi fiii lui Madian: Efa şi Efer şi Hanoc şi Abida şi Eldaa. Toţi aceştia au fost copiii Cheturei.

5 And Abraham gaue all his goods to Izhak,

Şi Avraam a dat lui Isaac tot ce a avut.

6 But vnto the sonnes of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gaue giftes, and sent them away from Izhak his sonne (while he yet liued) Eastward to the East countrey.

Dar fiilor concubinelor, pe care Avraam le-a avut în timp ce încă trăia, Avraam le-a dat daruri şi i-a trimis departe de Isaac, fiul său, spre est, în ţinutul din est.

7 And this is the age of Abrahams life, which he liued, an hundreth seuentie and fiue yeere.

Şi acestea sunt zilele anilor vieţii lui Avraam pe care le-a trăit, o sută şaptezeci şi cinci de ani.

8 Then Abraham yeelded the spirit, and died in a good age, an olde man, and of great yeeres, and was gathered to his people.

Atunci Avraam şi-a dat duhul şi a murit la o bătrâneţe frumoasă, un om bătrân şi plin de ani; şi a fost adunat la poporul său.

9 And his sonnes, Izhak and Ishmael buryed him in the caue of Machpelah, in the fielde of Ephron sonne of Zohar the Hittite, before Mamre.

Şi fiii săi, Isaac şi Ismael, l-au îngropat în peştera Macpela, în câmpul lui Efron, fiul lui Ţohar hititul, care este în faţă cu Mamre;

10 Which fielde Abraham bought of the Hittites, where Abraham was buryed with Sarah his wife.

Câmpul pe care Avraam l-a cumpărat de la fiii lui Het: acolo a fost Avraam îngropat şi Sara, soţia lui.

11 And after the death of Abraham God blessed Izhak his sonne, and Izhak dwelt by Beer-lahai-roi.

Şi s-a întâmplat, după moartea lui Avraam, că Dumnezeu a binecuvântat pe fiul său, Isaac; şi Isaac a locuit lângă fântâna Lahairoi.

12 Nowe these are the generations of Ishmael Abrahams sonne, whome Hagar the Egyptian Sarahs handmayde bare vnto Abraham.

Acum acestea sunt generaţiile lui Ismael, fiul lui Avraam, pe care Hagar egipteanca, roaba lui Sara, l-a născut lui Avraam;

13 And these are the names of the sonnes of Ishmael, name by name, according to their kinreds; the eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Şi acestea sunt numele fiilor lui Ismael, după numele lor, conform cu generaţiile lor: întâiul născut al lui Ismael, Nebaiot, şi Chedar şi Adbeel şi Mibsam,

14 And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

Şi Mişma şi Duma şi Masa,

15 Hadar, and Tema, Ietur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

Hadar şi Tema, Ietur, Nafiş şi Chedma;

16 These are the sonnes of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their townes and by their castles: to wit, twelue princes of their nations.

Aceştia sunt fiii lui Ismael şi acestea sunt numele lor, după satele lor şi după cetăţuile lor; doisprezece prinţi conform cu naţiunile lor.

17 (And these are the yeeres of the life of Ishmael, an hundreth thirtie and seuen yeere, and he yeelded the spirit, and dyed, and was gathered vnto his people)

Şi aceştia sunt anii vieţii lui Ismael, o sută treizeci şi şapte de ani; şi el şi-a dat duhul şi a murit; şi a fost luat la poporul său.

18 And they dwelt from Hauilah vnto Shur, that is towardes Egypt, as thou goest to Asshur. Ishmael dwelt in the presence of all his brethren.

Şi au locuit de la Havila până la Şur, care este în faţă cu Egiptul, cum mergi spre Asiria; şi a murit înaintea feţei tuturor fraţilor săi.

19 Likewise these are the generations of Izhak Abrahams sonne Abraham begate Izhak,

Şi acestea sunt generaţiile lui Isaac, fiul lui Avraam: Avraam a născut pe Isaac;

20 And Izhak was fourtie yeere olde, when he tooke Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramite of Padan Aram, and sister to Laban the Aramite.

Şi Isaac era în vârstă de patruzeci de ani când a luat pe Rebeca de soţie, fiica lui Betuel sirianul din Padanaram, sora lui Laban sirianul.

21 And Izhak prayed vuto the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiued,

Şi Isaac l-a implorat pe DOMNUL pentru soţia lui, pentru că era stearpă; şi DOMNUL s-a lăsat înduplecat de el; şi Rebeca, soţia lui, a rămas însărcinată.

22 But the children stroue together within her: therefore shee sayde, Seeing it is so, why am I thus? wherefore she went to aske the Lord.

Şi copiii se luptau înăuntrul ei; şi ea a spus: Dacă este aşa, de ce sunt eu astfel? Şi ea s-a dus să întrebe pe DOMNUL.

23 And the Lord sayd to her, Two nations are in thy wombe, and two maner of people shalbe diuided out of thy bowels, and the one people shall be mightier then the other, and the elder shall serue the yonger.

Şi DOMNUL i-a spus: Două naţiuni sunt în pântecele tău şi două feluri de popoare se vor separa din adâncurile tale; şi un popor va fi mai tare decât celălalt popor; şi cel mai în vârstă va servi pe cel mai tânăr.

24 Therefore when her time of deliuerance was fulfilled, behold, twinnes were in her wombe.

Şi când i s-au împlinit zilele să nască, iată, erau gemeni în pântecele ei.

25 So he that came out first was red, and he was all ouer as a rough garment, and they called his name Esau.

Şi primul a ieşit roşu, peste tot ca un veşmânt păros; şi i-au pus numele, Esau.

26 And afterward came his brother out, and his hande helde Esau by the heele: therefore his name was called Iaakob. Nowe Izhak was threescore yeere olde when Rebekah bare them.

Şi după aceea a ieşit fratele său şi mâna lui ţinea călcâiul lui Esau; şi i-au pus numele Iacob; şi Isaac era în vârstă de şaizeci de ani când ea i-a născut.

27 And the boyes grew, and Esau was a cunning hunter, and liued in the fields: but Iaakob was a plaine man, and dwelt in tentes.

Şi băieţii au crescut şi Esau era un vânător iscusit, un bărbat al câmpului; iar Iacob era un bărbat simplu, locuind în corturi.

28 And Izhak loued Esau, for venison was his meate, but Rebekah loued Iaakob.

Şi Isaac iubea pe Esau, deoarece mânca din vânatul lui; dar Rebeca iubea pe Iacob.

29 Nowe Iaakob sod pottage, and Esau came from the fielde and was wearie.

Şi Iacob a fiert o supă şi Esau a venit de la câmp şi era leşinat;

30 Then Esau sayd to Iaakob, Let me eate, I pray thee, of that pottage so red, for I am wearie. Therefore was his name called Edom.

Şi Esau a spus lui Iacob: Hrăneşte-mă, te rog, cu supa aceea roşie; căci sunt leşinat; de aceea i-a pus numele Edom.

31 And Iaakob sayd, Sell me euen nowe thy birthright.

Şi Iacob a spus: Vinde-mi astăzi dreptul tău de întâi născut.

32 And Esau sayd, Lo, I am almost dead, what is then this birthright to me?

Şi Esau a spus: Iată, eu sunt pe moarte şi la ce îmi foloseşte acest drept de întâi născut?

33 Iaakob then said, Sweare to me euen now. And he sware to him, and solde his birthright vnto Iaakob.

Şi Iacob a spus: Jură-mi astăzi; şi el i-a jurat şi i-a vândut dreptul său de întâi născut lui Iacob.

34 Then Iaakob gaue Esau bread and pottage of lentiles: and he did eate and drinke, and rose vp, and went his way: So Esau contemned his birthright.

Atunci Iacob i-a dat lui Esau pâine şi supă de linte; şi a mâncat şi a băut şi s-a ridicat şi a plecat; astfel Esau a dispreţuit dreptul său de întâi născut.
