Genesis 20
1 Afterward Abraham departed thence toward the South countrey and dwelled betweene Cadesh and Shur, and soiourned in Gerar.
১অব্ৰাহামে পূর্বৰ ঠাই এৰি নেগেভ দেশৰ ফালে গ’ল। তাত তেওঁ কাদেচ আৰু চূৰৰ মাজৰ এঠাইত থাকিবলৈ ল’লে; সেই গৰাৰ নগৰত তেওঁ প্ৰবাসী আছিল।
2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister. Then Abimelech King of Gerar sent and tooke Sarah.
২তাত অব্ৰাহামে নিজৰ ভাৰ্যা চাৰাৰ বিষয়ে ক’লে, “এওঁ মোৰ ভনী।” সেয়ে সেই ঠাইৰ ৰজা অবীমেলকে মানুহ পঠাই চাৰাক লৈ গ’ল।
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dreame by night, and said to him, Beholde, thou art but dead, because of the woman, which thou hast taken: for she is a mans wife.
৩কিন্তু ৰাতি ঈশ্বৰে সপোনত অবীমেলকৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি ক’লে, “চোৱা, যি মহিলাগৰাকীক তুমি লৈ আনিছা, তেওঁৰ কাৰণে তোমাৰ মৃত্যু অনিবার্য। কিয়নো তেওঁ এজন পুৰুষৰ ভাৰ্যা।”
4 (Notwithstanding Abimelech had not yet come neere her) And he said, Lord, wilt thou slay euen the righteous nation?
৪অবীমেলকে কিন্তু তেতিয়াও চাৰাৰ ওচৰলৈ যোৱা নাছিল; সেয়ে তেওঁ ক’লে, “হে প্ৰভু, অপৰাধ নকৰিলেও আপুনি এটা সৎ জাতিক সংহাৰ কৰিব নে?
5 Said not he vnto me, She is my sister? yea, and she her selfe said, He is my brother: with an vpright minde, and innocent handes haue I done this.
৫সেই লোকজনে জানো নিজেই মোক কোৱা নাছিল ‘তাই মোৰ ভনী’ বুলি? এনেকি সেই মহিলাগৰাকীয়েও কৈছিল, ‘তেওঁ মোৰ ককাই’ বুলি। মই মোৰ সৰল মনেৰে আৰু নির্দোষী হাতেৰেহে এই কাম কৰিলোঁ।”
6 And God saide vnto him by a dreame, I knowe that thou diddest this euen with an vpright minde, and I kept thee also that thou shouldest not sinne against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touche her.
৬তেতিয়া ঈশ্বৰে সপোনত তেওঁক ক’লে, “হয়, মই জানো যে তুমি সৰল মনেৰেই এই কাম কৰিলা আৰু সেই কাৰণেই মোৰ অহিতে পাপ নকৰাকৈ তোমাক ৰাখিলোঁ; তেওঁক স্পৰ্শ কৰিবলৈ তোমাক নিদিলোঁ।
7 Now then deliuer the man his wife againe: for he is a Prophet, and he shall pray for thee that thou mayest liue: but if thou deliuer her not againe, be sure that thou shalt die the death, thou, and all that thou hast.
৭গতিকে সেই পুৰুষৰ ভাৰ্যাক এতিয়া ওভটাই দিয়া; কিয়নো সেই লোকজন এজন ভাববাদী। তেওঁ তোমাৰ অৰ্থে প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিব আৰু তুমি জীবা। কিন্তু যদি তেওঁক উভটাই নিদিয়া, তেন্তে ইয়াকে জানিবা যে তুমি আৰু তোমাৰ লোকসকলৰ সকলোৰে অৱশ্যেই মৃত্যু হ’ব।”
8 Then Abimelech rising vp early in ye morning, called all his seruants, and tolde all these things vnto them, and the men were sore afraid.
৮পাছদিনা অবীমেলকে অতি ৰাতিপুৱাতে উঠি নিজৰ দাসবোৰক ওচৰলৈ মাতি এই সকলো কথা ক’লে। এই কথা শুনি লোকসকলৰ অতিশয় ভয় লাগিল।
9 Afterward Abimelech called Abraham, and said vnto him, What hast thou done vnto vs? and what haue I offeded thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdome this great sinne? thou hast done things vnto me that ought not to be done.
৯তেতিয়া অবীমেলকে অব্ৰাহামক মাতি আনি ক’লে, “আপুনি আমাৰ লগত এইটো কি কাম কৰিলে? মইনো আপোনাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে কি দোষ কৰিলোঁ যে আপুনি মোক আৰু মোৰ ৰাজ্যক ইমান ডাঙৰ এক মহাপাপত পেলালে। মোলৈ এই ধৰণৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা আপোনাৰ মুঠেই উচিত হোৱা নাই।”
10 So Abimelech said vnto Abraham, What sawest thou that thou hast done this thing?
১০অবীমেলকে অব্ৰাহামক পুনৰ ক’লে, “আপুনি কি ভাৱি এনে কাৰ্য কৰিলে?”
11 Then Abraham answered, Because I thought thus, Surely the feare of God is not in this place, and they will slay me for my wiues sake.
১১তেতিয়া অব্ৰাহামে ক’লে, “মই ভাৱিছিলো, এই ঠাইৰ লোকসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ প্রতি নিশ্চয়ে ভয়-ভীতি নাই; সেয়ে মোৰ ভার্য্যাক পাবলৈ তেওঁলোকে মোকেই বধ কৰিব’।
12 Yet in very deede she is my sister: for she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother, and she is my wife.
১২তাৰ বাহিৰেও বাস্তৱিকত তেওঁ মোৰ ভনীও হয়; আমাৰ মাতৃ বেলেগ হ’লেও তেওঁৰ আৰু মোৰ পিতৃ একে। এতেকে তেওঁ মোৰ ভার্য্যা হ’ল।
13 Nowe when God caused me to wander out of my fathers house, I said then to her, This is thy kindnes that thou shalt shewe vnto me in all places where we come, Say thou of me, He is my brother.
১৩ঈশ্বৰে যেতিয়া মোক মোৰ পিতৃৰ ঘৰ ত্যাগ কৰিবলৈ দিলে আৰু মোক এঠাইৰ পৰা আন ঠাইলৈ ভ্রমণ কৰাই লৈ ফুৰালে, তেতিয়া মই মোৰ ভার্য্যাক কৈছিলোঁ, ‘মোৰ ভার্য্যা হিচাবে তুমি মোলৈ এই বিশ্বস্ততা প্রকাশ কৰিবা: আমি যি ঠাইলৈকে যাম, তুমি মোক তোমাৰ ককাই বুলি পৰিচয় দিবা’।”
14 Then tooke Abimelech sheepe and beeues, and men seruants, and women seruants, and gaue them vnto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
১৪তাৰ পাছত অবীমেলকে কিছুমান মেৰ-ছাগ, গৰু আৰু দাস-দাসীক আনি অব্ৰাহামক দিলে আৰু তাৰ লগতে তেওঁৰ ভাৰ্যা চাৰাকো ওভটাই দিলে।
15 And Abimelech saide, Beholde, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
১৫অবীমেলকে ক’লে, “চোৱা, মোৰ দেশখনেই আপোনাৰ আগত আছে; আপোনাৰ যি ঠাইতে ভাল লাগে, তাতে নিগাজীকৈ থাকক।”
16 Likewise to Sarah he said, Beholde, I haue giuen thy brother a thousand pieces of siluer: behold, he is the vaile of thine eyes to all that are with thee, and to all others: and she was thus reproued.
১৬তেওঁ চাৰাকো ক’লে, “চোৱা, তোমাৰ ককায়েৰাক মই এক হাজাৰ ৰূপ দিছোঁ; ইয়েই তোমাৰ লগতে সকলো লোকৰ সন্মুখত তোমাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে হোৱা অপৰাধ ঢাকিবলৈ কৰা হৈছে। তোমাৰ কোনো দোষ নাই।”
17 Then Abraham prayed vnto God, and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his women seruants: and they bare children.
১৭তাৰ পাছত অব্ৰাহামে ঈশ্বৰৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে। তেতিয়া অবীমেলক, তেওঁৰ ভাৰ্যা, আৰু তেওঁৰ আন আন দাসীসকলে যাতে সন্তান লাভ কৰিবলৈ সক্ষম হ’ব পাৰে, ঈশ্বৰে তেওঁলোকক সুস্থ কৰিলে।
18 For the Lord had shut vp euery wombe of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abrahams wife.
১৮কিয়নো যিহোৱাই অব্ৰাহামৰ ভাৰ্যা চাৰাৰ কাৰণে অবীমেলকৰ ঘৰত থকা সকলো মহিলাৰ সন্তান ধাৰণৰ ক্ষমতা সম্পূর্ণভাৱে বন্ধ কৰিছিল।
