Genesis 17
1 When Abram was ninetie yeere olde and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. walke before me, and be thou vpright,
A kad Avramu bi devedeset i devet godina, javi mu se Gospod i reèe mu: ja sam Bog svemoguæi, po mojoj volji živi i budi pošten.
2 And I will make my couenant betweene me and thee, and I will multiplie thee exceedingly.
I uèiniæu zavjet izmeðu sebe i tebe, i vrlo æu te umnožiti.
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,
A Avram pade nièice. I Gospod mu još govori i reèe:
4 Beholde, I make my couenant with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations,
Od mene evo zavjet moj s tobom da æeš biti otac mnogim narodima.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shalbe Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.
Zato se više neæeš zvati Avram, nego æe ti ime biti Avraam, jer sam te uèinio ocem mnogih naroda;
6 Also I will make thee exceeding fruitfull, and will make nations of thee: yea, Kings shall proceede of thee.
Daæu ti porodicu vrlo veliku, i naèiniæu od tebe narode mnoge, i carevi æe izaæi od tebe.
7 Moreouer I wil establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee in their generations, for an euerlasting couenant, to be God vnto thee and to thy seede after thee.
A postavljam zavjet svoj izmeðu sebe i tebe i sjemena tvojega nakon tebe od koljena do koljena, da je zavjet vjeèan, da sam Bog tebi i sjemenu tvojemu nakon tebe;
8 And I will giue thee and thy seede after thee the land, wherein thou art a stranger, euen all the land of Canaan, for an euerlasting possession, and I will be their God.
I daæu tebi i sjemenu tvojemu nakon tebe zemlju u kojoj si došljak, svu zemlju Hanansku u državu vjeènu, i biæu im Bog.
9 Againe God said vnto Abraham, Thou also shalt keepe my couenant, thou, and thy seede after thee in their generations.
I reèe Bog Avramu: ti pak drži zavjet moj, ti i sjeme tvoje nakon tebe od koljena do koljena.
10 This is my couenant which ye shall keepe betweene me and you, and thy seede after thee, Let euery man childe among you be circumcised:
A ovo je zavjet moj izmeðu mene i vas i sjemena tvojega nakon tebe, koji æete držati: da se obrezuje izmeðu vas sve muškinje.
11 That is, ye shall circumcise the foreskin of your flesh, and it shalbe a signe of the couenant betweene me and you.
A obrezivaæete okrajak tijela svojega, da bude znak zavjeta izmeðu mene i vas.
12 And euery man childe of eight dayes olde among you, shalbe circumcised in your generations, aswell he that is borne in thine house, as he that is bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seede.
Svako muško dijete kad mu bude osam dana da se obrezuje od koljena do koljena, rodilo se u kuæi ili bilo kupljeno za novce od kojih god stranaca, koje ne bude od sjemena tvojega.
13 He that is borne in thine house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needes be circumcised: so my couenant shall be in your flesh for an euerlasting couenant.
Da se obrezuje koje se rodi u kuæi tvojoj i koje se kupi za novce tvoje; tako æe biti zavjet moj na tijelu vašem zavjet vjeèan.
14 But the vncircumcised man childe, in whose flesh the foreskin is not circumcised, euen that person shall be cut off from his people, because he hath broken my couenant.
A neobrezano muško, kojemu se ne obreže okrajak tijela njegova, da se istrijebi iz naroda svojega, jer pokvari zavjet moj.
15 Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.
I još reèe Bog Avramu: a Saru ženu svoju ne zovi je više Sara nego neka joj bude ime Sara.
16 And I will blesse her, and will also giue thee a sonne of her, yea, I will blesse her, and she shall be the mother of nations: Kings also of people shall come of her.
I ja æu je blagosloviti, i daæu ti sina od nje; blagosloviæu je, i biæe mati mnogim narodima, i carevi narodima izaæi æe od nje.
17 Then Abraham fell vpon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a childe be borne vnto him, that is an hundreth yeere olde? and shall Sarah that is ninetie yeere olde beare?
Tada pade Avram nièice, i nasmija se govoreæi u srcu svojem: eda æe se èovjeku od sto godina roditi sin? i Sari? eda æe žena od devedeset godina roditi?
18 And Abraham saide vnto God, Oh, that Ishmael might liue in thy sight.
I Avram reèe Bogu: neka živ bude Ismailo pred tobom!
19 Then God saide, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Izhak: and I will establish my couenant with him for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seede after him.
I reèe Bog: zaista Sara žena tvoja rodiæe ti sina, i nadjeæeš mu ime Isak; i postaviæu zavjet svoj s njim da bude zavjet vjeèan sjemenu njegovu nakon njega.
20 And as concerning Ishmael, I haue heard thee: loe, I haue blessed him, and will make him fruitfull, and will multiplie him exceedingly: twelue princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.
A i za Ismaila uslišio sam te; evo blagoslovio sam ga, i daæu mu porodicu veliku, i umnožiæu ga veoma; i rodiæe dvanaest knezova, i uèiniæu od njega velik narod.
21 But my couenant will I establish with Izhak, which Sarah shall beare vnto thee, the next yeere at this season.
A zavjet svoj uèiniæu s Isakom kad ti ga rodi Sara, do godine u ovo doba.
22 And he left off talking with him, and God went vp from Abraham.
I Bog izgovorivši otide od Avrama gore.
23 Then Abraham tooke Ishmael his sonne and all that were borne in his house, and all that was bought with his money, that is, euery man childe among the men of Abrahams house, and he circumcised the foreskinne of their flesh in that selfe same day, as God had comaunded him.
I Avram uze Ismaila sina svojega i sve koji se rodiše u domu njegovu i koje god bješe kupio za svoje novce, sve muškinje od domaæih svojih; i obreza okrajak tijela njihova u isti dan, kao što mu kaza Bog.
24 Abraham also himselfe was ninetie yeere olde and nine, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
A bješe Avramu devedeset i devet godina kad obreza okrajak tijela svojega.
25 And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeere olde, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
A Ismailu sinu njegovu bješe trinaest godina kad mu se obreza okrajak tijela njegova.
26 The selfe same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his sonne:
U jedan dan obreza se Avram i sin mu Ismailo,
27 And all the men of his house, both borne in his house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
I svi domašnji njegovi, roðeni u kuæi i kupljeni za novce od stranaca, biše obrezani s njim.
