Genesis 17
1 When Abram was ninetie yeere olde and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. walke before me, and be thou vpright,
Sendo pois Abrão da idade de noventa e nove anos, apareceu o Senhor a Abrão, e disse-lhe: Eu sou o Deus Todo-poderoso, anda em minha presença e sê perfeito:
2 And I will make my couenant betweene me and thee, and I will multiplie thee exceedingly.
E porei o meu concerto entre mim e ti, e te multiplicarei grandissimamente.
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,
Então caiu Abrão sobre o seu rosto, e falou Deus com ele, dizendo:
4 Beholde, I make my couenant with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations,
Quanto a mim, eis o meu concerto, contigo é e serás o pai de uma multidão de nações;
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shalbe Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.
E não se chamará mais o teu nome Abrão, mas Abraão será o teu nome; porque por pai da multidão de nações te tenho posto:
6 Also I will make thee exceeding fruitfull, and will make nations of thee: yea, Kings shall proceede of thee.
E te farei frutificar grandissimamente, e de ti farei nações, e reis sairão de ti
7 Moreouer I wil establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee in their generations, for an euerlasting couenant, to be God vnto thee and to thy seede after thee.
E estabelecerei o meu concerto entre mim e ti e a tua semente depois de ti em suas gerações, por concerto perpétuo, para te ser a ti por Deus, e à tua semente depois de ti
8 And I will giue thee and thy seede after thee the land, wherein thou art a stranger, euen all the land of Canaan, for an euerlasting possession, and I will be their God.
E te darei a ti, e à tua semente depois de ti, a terra de tuas peregrinações, toda a terra de Canaan em perpétua possessão, e ser-lhes-ei Deus.
9 Againe God said vnto Abraham, Thou also shalt keepe my couenant, thou, and thy seede after thee in their generations.
Disse mais Deus a Abraão: Tu, porém, guardarás o meu concerto, tu, e a tua semente depois de ti, nas suas gerações.
10 This is my couenant which ye shall keepe betweene me and you, and thy seede after thee, Let euery man childe among you be circumcised:
Este é o meu concerto, que guardareis entre mim e vós, e a tua semente depois de ti: Que todo o macho vos será circuncidado.
11 That is, ye shall circumcise the foreskin of your flesh, and it shalbe a signe of the couenant betweene me and you.
E circuncidareis a carne do vosso prepúcio; e isto será por sinal do concerto entre mim e vós.
12 And euery man childe of eight dayes olde among you, shalbe circumcised in your generations, aswell he that is borne in thine house, as he that is bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seede.
O filho de oito dias, pois, vos será circuncidado, todo o macho nas vossas gerações: o nascido na casa, e o comprado por dinheiro a qualquer estrangeiro, que não for da tua semente.
13 He that is borne in thine house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needes be circumcised: so my couenant shall be in your flesh for an euerlasting couenant.
Com efeito será circuncidado o nascido em tua casa, e o comprado por teu dinheiro: e estará o meu concerto na vossa carne por concerto perpétuo.
14 But the vncircumcised man childe, in whose flesh the foreskin is not circumcised, euen that person shall be cut off from his people, because he hath broken my couenant.
E o macho com prepúcio, cuja carne do prepúcio não estiver circuncidada, aquela alma será extirpada dos seus povos; quebrantou o meu concerto.
15 Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.
Disse Deus mais a Abraão: A Sarai tua mulher não chamarás mais pelo nome de Sarai, mas Sarah será o seu nome,
16 And I will blesse her, and will also giue thee a sonne of her, yea, I will blesse her, and she shall be the mother of nations: Kings also of people shall come of her.
Porque eu a hei de abençoar, e te hei de dar a ti dela um filho; e a abençoarei, e será mãe das nações; reis de povos sairão dela
17 Then Abraham fell vpon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a childe be borne vnto him, that is an hundreth yeere olde? and shall Sarah that is ninetie yeere olde beare?
Então caiu Abraão sobre o seu rosto, e riu-se, e disse no seu coração: A um homem de cem anos há de nascer um filho? e parirá Sarah da idade de noventa anos?
18 And Abraham saide vnto God, Oh, that Ishmael might liue in thy sight.
E disse Abraão a Deus: Oxalá que viva Ishmael diante de teu rosto!
19 Then God saide, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Izhak: and I will establish my couenant with him for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seede after him.
E disse Deus: Na verdade, Sarah tua mulher te parirá um filho, e chamarás o seu nome Isaac, e com ele estabelecerei o meu concerto, por concerto perpétuo para a sua semente depois dele.
20 And as concerning Ishmael, I haue heard thee: loe, I haue blessed him, and will make him fruitfull, and will multiplie him exceedingly: twelue princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.
E enquanto a Ishmael, também te tenho ouvido: eis aqui o tenho abençoado, e fa-lo-ei frutificar, e fa-lo-ei multiplicar grandissimamente: doze príncipes gerará, e dele farei uma grande nação.
21 But my couenant will I establish with Izhak, which Sarah shall beare vnto thee, the next yeere at this season.
O meu concerto, porém, estabelecerei com Isaac, o qual Sarah te parirá neste tempo determinado, no ano seguinte.
22 And he left off talking with him, and God went vp from Abraham.
E acabou de falar com ele, e saiu Deus de Abraão.
23 Then Abraham tooke Ishmael his sonne and all that were borne in his house, and all that was bought with his money, that is, euery man childe among the men of Abrahams house, and he circumcised the foreskinne of their flesh in that selfe same day, as God had comaunded him.
Então tomou Abraão a seu filho Ishmael, e a todos os nascidos na sua casa, e a todos os comprados por seu dinheiro, todo o macho entre os homens da casa de Abraão; e circuncidou a carne do seu prepúcio, naquele mesmo dia, como Deus falara com ele.
24 Abraham also himselfe was ninetie yeere olde and nine, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
E era Abraão da idade de noventa e nove anos, quando lhe foi circuncidada a carne do seu prepúcio.
25 And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeere olde, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
E Ishmael, seu filho, era da idade de treze anos, quando lhe foi circuncidada a carne do seu prepúcio.
26 The selfe same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his sonne:
Neste mesmo dia foi circuncidado Abraão e Ishmael seu filho,
27 And all the men of his house, both borne in his house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
E todos os homens da sua casa, o nascido em casa, e o comprado por dinheiro do estrangeiro, foram circuncidados com ele.
