Genesis 17
1 When Abram was ninetie yeere olde and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. walke before me, and be thou vpright,
१अब्राम नव्याण्णव वर्षांचा झाला तेव्हा परमेश्वराने त्यास दर्शन दिले व त्यास म्हटले, “मी सर्वशक्तिमान देव आहे. माझ्या समक्षतेत चाल, आणि सात्त्विकतेने राहा.
2 And I will make my couenant betweene me and thee, and I will multiplie thee exceedingly.
२तू असे करशील, तर मी माझ्यामध्ये व तुझ्यामध्ये एक करार करीन, आणि मी तुला अनेक पटींनी वाढवीन असे अभिवचन देतो.”
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,
३मग अब्रामाने देवास लवून नमन केले आणि देव त्यास म्हणाला,
4 Beholde, I make my couenant with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations,
४“पाहा, तुझ्यासोबत माझा करार असा आहे: तू अनेक राष्ट्रांचा महान पिता होशील.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shalbe Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.
५येथून पुढे तुझे नाव अब्राम असणार नाही, तर तुझे नाव अब्राहाम असे होईल. कारण मी तुला अनेक राष्ट्रांचा पिता असे नेमले आहे.
6 Also I will make thee exceeding fruitfull, and will make nations of thee: yea, Kings shall proceede of thee.
६मी तुला भरपूर संतती देईन, आणि मी तुझ्यापासून नवीन राष्ट्रे उदयास आणीन, आणि तुझ्यापासून राजे उत्पन्न होतील.
7 Moreouer I wil establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee in their generations, for an euerlasting couenant, to be God vnto thee and to thy seede after thee.
७मी तुझ्यामध्ये आणि माझ्यामध्ये आणि तुझ्या वंशजांमध्येही पिढ्यानपिढ्या कायम लागू राहील असा सनातन करार करीन, तो असा की, मी तुझा आणि तुझ्यानंतर तुझ्या वंशजांचा देव होईन.
8 And I will giue thee and thy seede after thee the land, wherein thou art a stranger, euen all the land of Canaan, for an euerlasting possession, and I will be their God.
८ज्या प्रदेशामध्ये तू राहत आहेस तो, म्हणजे कनान देश, मी तुला व तुझ्या वंशजांना कायमचे वतन म्हणून देईन, आणि मी तुमचा देव होईन.”
9 Againe God said vnto Abraham, Thou also shalt keepe my couenant, thou, and thy seede after thee in their generations.
९नंतर देव अब्राहामाला पुढे म्हणाला, “आता या करारातील तुझा भाग हा असा, तू माझा करार पाळावा, तू आणि तुझ्या मागे तुझ्या वंशजांनी पिढ्यानपिढ्या पाळावयाचा माझा करार पाळावा.
10 This is my couenant which ye shall keepe betweene me and you, and thy seede after thee, Let euery man childe among you be circumcised:
१०माझा करार जो, तू आणि तुझ्या मागे तुझ्या संतानाने पाळायचा तो हा की: तुमच्यातील प्रत्येक पुरुषांची सुंता व्हावी.
11 That is, ye shall circumcise the foreskin of your flesh, and it shalbe a signe of the couenant betweene me and you.
११माझ्यामध्ये आणि तुझ्यामध्ये असलेला करार हा, तुम्ही आपली सुंता करून घ्यावी.
12 And euery man childe of eight dayes olde among you, shalbe circumcised in your generations, aswell he that is borne in thine house, as he that is bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seede.
१२पिढ्यानपिढ्या तुमच्यातील प्रत्येक पुरुषाची त्याच्या जन्मानंतर आठ दिवसानी सुंता करावी. मग तो पुरुष तुझ्या कुटुंबात जन्मलेला असो किंवा तो तुझ्या वंशातला नसून परक्यापासून पैसा देऊन घेतलेला असो.
13 He that is borne in thine house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needes be circumcised: so my couenant shall be in your flesh for an euerlasting couenant.
१३अशा रीतीने तुझ्या राष्ट्रात जन्मलेल्या प्रत्येक पुरुषांची सुंता करावी, मग तो तुझ्या कुटुंबातील असो किंवा विकत घेतलेल्या गुलामाच्या कुटुंबात जन्मलेला असो; तुझ्या व माझ्यामध्ये केलेला करार या खुणेवरून कायम राहील.
14 But the vncircumcised man childe, in whose flesh the foreskin is not circumcised, euen that person shall be cut off from his people, because he hath broken my couenant.
१४ज्या कोणाची सुंता झाली नाही अशा पुरुषाला त्याच्या लोकांतून बाहेर टाकावे; कारण त्याने माझा करार मोडला आहे.”
15 Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.
१५देव अब्राहामाला म्हणाला, “तुझी पत्नी साराय, हिला येथून पुढे साराय असे संबोधू नको. त्या ऐवजी तिचे नाव सारा असे होईल.
16 And I will blesse her, and will also giue thee a sonne of her, yea, I will blesse her, and she shall be the mother of nations: Kings also of people shall come of her.
१६मी तिला आशीर्वादित करीन, आणि मी तुला तिच्यापासून मुलगा देईन. मी तिला आशीर्वादीत करीन, आणि ती अनेक राष्ट्रांची माता होईल. लोकांचे राजे तिच्यापासून निपजतील.”
17 Then Abraham fell vpon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a childe be borne vnto him, that is an hundreth yeere olde? and shall Sarah that is ninetie yeere olde beare?
१७अब्राहामाने देवाला लवून नमन केले आणि तो हसला, तो मनात म्हणाला, “शंभर वर्षांच्या मनुष्यास मुलगा होणे शक्य आहे का? आणि सारा, जी नव्वद वर्षांची आहे, तिला मुलगा होऊ शकेल का?”
18 And Abraham saide vnto God, Oh, that Ishmael might liue in thy sight.
१८अब्राहाम देवाला म्हणाला, “इश्माएल तुझ्या समोर जगावा तेवढे पुरे!”
19 Then God saide, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Izhak: and I will establish my couenant with him for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seede after him.
१९देव म्हणाला, “नाही! परंतु तुझी पत्नी सारा हिलाच मुलगा होईल, आणि त्याचे नाव तू इसहाक असे ठेव. मी त्याच्याशी निरंतरचा करार करीन; तो करार त्याच्यानंतर त्याच्या वंशजांसोबत निरंतर असेल.
20 And as concerning Ishmael, I haue heard thee: loe, I haue blessed him, and will make him fruitfull, and will multiplie him exceedingly: twelue princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.
२०तू मला इश्माएलविषयी विचारलेस ते मी ऐकले आहे. पाहा, मी आतापासून पुढे त्यास आशीर्वाद देईन, आणि त्यास फलद्रुप करीन आणि त्यास बहुगुणित करीन. तो बारा सरदारांच्या वंशांचा पिता होईल, आणि मी त्यास एक मोठे राष्ट्र करीन.
21 But my couenant will I establish with Izhak, which Sarah shall beare vnto thee, the next yeere at this season.
२१परंतु मी इसहाकाबरोबर माझा करार स्थापीन, ज्याला सारा पुढल्या वर्षी याच वेळी जन्म देईल.”
22 And he left off talking with him, and God went vp from Abraham.
२२देवाने त्याच्याशी बोलणे संपवल्यावर, देव अब्राहामापासून वर गेला.
23 Then Abraham tooke Ishmael his sonne and all that were borne in his house, and all that was bought with his money, that is, euery man childe among the men of Abrahams house, and he circumcised the foreskinne of their flesh in that selfe same day, as God had comaunded him.
२३त्यानंतर अब्राहामाने त्याचा मुलगा इश्माएल आणि त्याच्या घराण्यात जन्मलेले आणि जे सर्व मोल देऊन विकत घेतलेले अशा सगळ्या पुरुषांना एकत्र केले, आणि देवाने सांगितल्याप्रमाणेच त्याच्या घरातील सर्व पुरुषांची त्या एकाच दिवशी सुंता केली.
24 Abraham also himselfe was ninetie yeere olde and nine, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
२४अब्राहाम नव्याण्णव वर्षांचा होता तेव्हा त्याची सुंता झाली.
25 And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeere olde, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
२५आणि त्याचा मुलगा इश्माएल तेरा वर्षांचा होता तेव्हा त्याची सुंता झाली.
26 The selfe same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his sonne:
२६अब्राहाम आणि त्याचा मुलगा इश्माएल या दोघांची एकाच दिवशी सुंता झाली.
27 And all the men of his house, both borne in his house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
२७त्याच्या घरी जन्मलेले व त्याने विकत घेतलेले असे त्याच्या घरचे सगळे पुरुष यांचीही त्याच्या बरोबर सुंता झाली.
