Genesis 13
1 Then Abram went vp from Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him toward the South.
Така Аврам излезе от Египет, той, жена му и всичко що имаше, и Лот с него, та замина към южната страна.
2 And Abram was very rich in cattell, in siluer and in golde.
Аврам беше много богат с добитък, сребро и злато.
3 And he went on his iourney from ye South toward Beth-el, to the place where his tent had bene at ye beginning, betweene Beth-el and Haai,
И от южната страна той минаваше постепенно дори до Ветил, до мястото, гдето от по-напред беше поставена шатрата му между Ветил и Гай.
4 Vnto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the Name of the Lord.
до мястото, гдето първоначално беше издигнат олтара; и там Аврам призова Господното име.
5 And Lot also, who went with Abram, had sheepe, and cattell and tentes,
Също и Лот, който придружаваше Аврама, имаше овци, говеда и шатри.
6 So that the land coulde not beare them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they coulde not dwell together.
И понеже земята не ги побираше да живеят заедно, тъй като имотът им беше много, и не можеха да живеят заедно,
7 Also there was debate betweene ye heardmen of Abrams cattell, and the heardmen of Lots cattell. (and the Canaanites and the Perizzites dwelled at that time in the land.)
появи се спречкване между Аврамовите говедари и Лотовите говедари. (По това време ханаанците и ферезейците населяваха тая земя).
8 Then saide Abram vnto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, betweene thee and me, neither betweene mine heardmen and thine heardmen: for we be brethren.
Тогава Аврам рече на Лота: Да няма, моля ти се, спречкване между мене и тебе между моите говедари и твоите говедари, защото ние сме братя.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? depart I pray thee from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will goe to the right: or if thou goe to the right hand, then I will take the left.
Не е ли пред тебе цялата земя. Моля ти се, отдели се от мене; ти ако идеш наляво, то аз ще ида надясно; или ако ти идеш надясно, аз ще ида наляво.
10 So when Lot lifted vp his eyes, he saw that all the plaine of Iorden was watered euery where: (for before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorah, it was as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest vnto Zoar)
Лот, прочее, подигна очи и разгледа цялата равнина на Иордан и видя, че беше добре напоявана догде се стигне в Сигор, (преди да беше разорил Господа Содома и Гомора), като Господната градина, като Египетската земя.
11 Then Lot chose vnto him all the plaine of Iorden, and tooke his iourney from the East: and they departed the one from the other.
За това Лот си избра цялата Иорданска равнина. И Лот тръгна към изток и се разделиха един от друг.
12 Abram dwelled in the lande of Canaan, and Lot abode in the cities of the plaine, and pitched his tent euen to Sodom.
Аврам се засели в Ханаанската земя; а Лот се засели между градовете на Иорданската равнина, и преместваше шатрите си докато стигна до Содом.
13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and exceeding sinners against the Lord.
А содомските мъже бяха твърде нечестиви и грешни пред Господа.
14 Then the Lord saide vnto Abram, (after that Lot was departed from him) Lift vp thine eyes nowe, and looke from the place where thou art, Northward, and Southward, and Eastwarde, and Westward:
И Господ каза на Аврама, след като се отдели Лот от него: Подигни сега очите си от мястото гдето си, та погледни към север и юг, изток и запад;
15 For all the land, which thou seest, will I giue vnto thee and to thy seede for euer,
защото цялата земя, която виждаш, ще дам на тебе и на потомството ти до века.
16 And I will make thy seede, as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seede be numbred.
И ще направя потомството ти многочислено като земния прах; така щото, ако може някой да изброи земния прах, то и твоето потомство ще изброи.
17 Arise, walke through the land, in ye length thereof, and breadth thereof: for I will giue it vnto thee.
Стани, обходи дължината на земята, защото на теб ще я дам.
18 Then Abram remoued his tent, and came and dwelled in the plaine of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and builded there an altar vnto ye Lord.
Тогава Аврам премести шатрата си, дойде и се засели при Мемриевите дъбове, които са в Хеврон; и там издигна олтар на Господа.
