Genesis 11
1 Then the whole earth was of one language and one speache.
Sur la tuta tero estis unu lingvo kaj unu parolmaniero.
2 And as they went from the East, they found a plaine in the land of Shinar, and there they abode.
Kaj kiam ili ekiris de la oriento, ili trovis valon en la lando Ŝinar kaj tie ekloĝis.
3 And they said one to another, Come, let vs make bricke, and burne it in the fire. So they had bricke for stone, and slime had they in steade of morter.
Kaj ili diris unu al alia: Venu, ni faru brikojn kaj ni brulpretigu ilin per fajro. Kaj la brikoj fariĝis por ili ŝtonoj, kaj la bitumo fariĝis por ili kalko.
4 Also they said, Goe to, let vs builde vs a citie and a towre, whose top may reache vnto the heauen, that we may get vs a name, lest we be scattered vpon the whole earth.
Kaj ili diris: Venu, ni konstruu al ni urbon, kaj turon, kies supro atingos la ĉielon, kaj ni akiru al ni gloron, antaŭ ol ni disiĝos sur la supraĵo de la tuta tero.
5 But the Lord came downe, to see the citie and towre, which the sonnes of men builded.
Kaj la Eternulo malleviĝis, por vidi la urbon kaj la turon, kiujn konstruis la homidoj.
6 And the Lord said, Beholde, the people is one, and they all haue one language, and this they begin to doe, neither can they now be stopped from whatsoeuer they haue imagined to do.
Kaj la Eternulo diris: Jen estas unu popolo, kaj unu lingvon ili ĉiuj havas; kaj jen, kion ili komencis fari, kaj ili ne estos malhelpataj en ĉio, kion ili decidis fari.
7 Come on, let vs goe downe, and there confound their language, that euery one perceiue not anothers speache.
Ni malleviĝu do, kaj Ni konfuzu tie ilian lingvon, por ke unu ne komprenu la parolon de alia.
8 So ye Lord scattered them from thence vpon all the earth, and they left off to build the citie.
Kaj la Eternulo disigis ilin de tie sur la supraĵon de la tuta tero, kaj ili ĉesis konstrui la urbon.
9 Therefore the name of it was called Babel, because the Lord did there confounde the language of all the earth: from thence then did the Lord scatter them vpon all the earth.
Tial oni donis al ĝi la nomon Babel, ĉar tie la Eternulo konfuzis la lingvon de la tuta tero kaj de tie la Eternulo disigis ilin sur la supraĵon de la tuta tero.
10 These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundreth yeere olde, and begate Arpachshad two yeere after the flood.
Jen estas la generaciaro de Ŝem: Ŝem havis la aĝon de cent jaroj, kaj naskiĝis al li Arpaĥŝad, du jarojn post la diluvo.
11 And Shem liued, after he begate Arpachshad, fiue hundreth yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Ŝem vivis post la naskiĝo de Arpaĥŝad kvincent jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
12 Also Arpachshad liued fiue and thirtie yeeres, and begate Shelah.
Kaj Arpaĥŝad vivis tridek kvin jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Ŝelaĥ.
13 And Arpachshad liued, after he begate Shelah, foure hundreth and three yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Arpaĥŝad vivis post la naskiĝo de Ŝelaĥ kvarcent tri jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
14 And Shelah liued thirtie yeeres, and begat Eber.
Kaj Ŝelaĥ vivis tridek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Eber.
15 So Shelah liued, after he begat Eber, foure hundreth and three yeeres, and begat sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Ŝelaĥ vivis post la naskiĝo de Eber kvarcent tri jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
16 Likewise Eber liued foure and thirtie yeres, and begate Peleg.
Kaj Eber vivis tridek kvar jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Peleg.
17 So Eber liued, after he begate Peleg, foure hundreth and thirtie yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters
Kaj Eber vivis post la naskiĝo de Peleg kvarcent tridek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
18 And Peleg liued thirtie yeeres, and begate Reu.
Kaj Peleg vivis tridek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Reu.
19 And Peleg liued, after he begate Reu, two hundreth and nine yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Peleg vivis post la naskiĝo de Reu ducent naŭ jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
20 Also Reu liued two and thirtie yeeres, and begate Serug.
Kaj Reu vivis tridek du jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Serug.
21 So Reu liued, after he begate Serug, two hundreth and seuen yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Reu vivis post la naskiĝo de Serug ducent sep jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
22 Moreouer Serug liued thirtie yeeres, and begate Nahor.
Kaj Serug vivis tridek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Naĥor.
23 And Serug liued, after he begate Nahor, two hundreth yeeres, and begate sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Serug vivis post la naskiĝo de Naĥor ducent jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
24 And Nahor liued nine and twentie yeeres, and begate Terah.
Kaj Naĥor vivis dudek naŭ jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Teraĥ.
25 So Nahor liued, after he begate Terah, an hundreth and nineteene yeeres, and begat sonnes and daughters.
Kaj Naĥor vivis post la naskiĝo de Teraĥ cent dek naŭ jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
26 So Terah liued seuentie yeeres, and begate Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
Kaj Teraĥ vivis sepdek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Abram, Naĥor, kaj Haran.
27 Nowe these are the generations of Terah: Terah begate Abram, Nahor, and Haran: and Haran begate Lot.
Kaj jen estas la generaciaro de Teraĥ: al Teraĥ naskiĝis Abram, Naĥor, kaj Haran; kaj al Haran naskiĝis Lot.
28 Then Haran died before Terah his father in the land of his natiuitie, in Vr of the Caldees.
Kaj Haran mortis antaŭ sia patro Teraĥ en sia lando de naskiĝo, en Ur la Ĥaldea.
29 So Abram and Nahor tooke them wiues. The name of Abrams wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahors wife Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
Kaj Abram kaj Naĥor prenis al si edzinojn; la nomo de la edzino de Abram estis Saraj, kaj la nomo de la edzino de Naĥor estis Milka, filino de Haran, kiu estis la patro de Milka kaj la patro de Jiska.
30 But Sarai was barren, and had no childe.
Kaj Saraj estis senfrukta kaj ne havis infanon.
31 Then Terah tooke Abram his sonne, and Lot the sonne of Haran, his sonnes sonne, and Sarai his daughter in lawe, his sonne Abrams wife: and they departed together from Vr of the Caldees, to goe into the land of Canaan, and they came to Haran, and dwelt there.
Kaj Teraĥ prenis sian filon Abram kaj sian nepon Lot, filo de Haran, kaj sian bofilinon Saraj, edzino de lia filo Abram; kaj ili eliris kune el Ur la Ĥaldea, por iri en la landon Kanaanan; kaj ili venis ĝis Ĥaran kaj enloĝiĝis tie.
32 So the dayes of Terah were two hundreth and fiue yeeres, and Terah died in Haran.
Kaj Teraĥ atingis la aĝon de ducent kvin jaroj, kaj Teraĥ mortis en Ĥaran.
