Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
பெருவெள்ளத்திற்கு பிறகு நோவாவின் மகன்களாகிய சேம், காம், யாப்பேத் என்பவர்களுக்கு, பிறந்த மகன்களின் வம்சவரலாறு.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
யாப்பேத்தின் மகன்கள்: கோமர், மாகோகு, மாதாய், யாவான், தூபால், மேசேக்கு, தீராஸ்.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
கோமரின் மகன்கள்: அஸ்கினாஸ், ரீப்பாத்து, தொகர்மா.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
யாவானின் மகன்கள்: எலீஷா, தர்ஷீஸ், கித்தீம், தொதானீம்.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
இவர்களிலிருந்து கடற்கரை ஓரங்களில் வசிக்கும் மக்கள், தங்கள் வம்சங்களின்படியே, அவரவருக்குரிய சொந்த மொழிகளுடன், தங்கள் பிரதேசங்களுக்குள் பரவினார்கள்.
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
காமின் மகன்கள்: கூஷ், மிஸ்ராயீம், பூத், கானான்.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
கூஷின் மகன்கள்: சேபா, ஆவிலா, சப்தா, ராமா, சப்திகா. ராமாவின் மகன்கள்: சேபா, திதான்.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
கூஷின் மகன் நிம்ரோத்; இவன் பூமியில் வலிமையுள்ள வீரனாக விளங்கினான்.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
அவன் யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் மிகவும் வலிமைவாய்ந்த வேட்டைக்காரனாய் இருந்தான்; அதனால்தான், “யெகோவா முன்னிலையில் வலிமையுள்ள வேட்டைக்காரன் நிம்ரோதைப்போல்” என்ற வழக்கச்சொல் உண்டாயிற்று.
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
சிநெயார் நாட்டிலுள்ள பாபேல், ஏரேக், அக்காத், கல்னே ஆகிய இடங்களே அவனுடைய அரசாட்சியின் முக்கிய இடங்களாயிருந்தன.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
அவன் அந்நாட்டிலிருந்து அசீரியாவுக்குப் போய், அங்கே நினிவே, ரெகொபோத் ஈர், காலாகு என்னும் பட்டணங்களைக் கட்டினான்.
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
நினிவேக்கும், காலாகுக்கும் இடையில் ரெசேன் பட்டணத்தையும் கட்டினான்; இது பிரதான நகரம்.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
மிஸ்ராயீமின் சந்ததிகள்: லூதீமியர், ஆனாமியர், லெகாபியர், நப்தூகியர்,
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
பத்ரூசீயர், பெலிஸ்தியரின் சந்ததிக்கு தலைவனான கஸ்லூகியர், கப்தோரியர்.
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
கானானின் சந்ததிகள்: மூத்த மகன் சீதோன், கேத்து,
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
எபூசியர், எமோரியர், கிர்காசியர்,
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
ஏவியர், அர்கீயர், சீனியர்,
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
அர்வாதியர், செமாரியர், காமாத்தியர். பின்பு கானானிய வம்சத்தினர் பல இடங்களிலும் குடியேறினர்.
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
கானானியரின் எல்லை சீதோன் முதல் கேரார் வழியாகக் காசாவரைக்கும், பின்பு சோதோம், கொமோரா, அத்மா, செபோயீம் வழியாக லாசாவரைக்கும் பரந்திருந்தது.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படியும், மொழிகளின்படியும், தங்கள் நாடுகளுக்குள்ளும் எல்லைகளுக்குள்ளும் குடியிருந்த காமின் மகன்கள் இவர்களே.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
சேமுக்கு மகன்கள் பிறந்தார்கள், அவனுடைய மூத்த சகோதரன் யாப்பேத்; சேம் ஏபேரின் மகன்கள் எல்லாருக்கும் முற்பிதாவாய் இருந்தான்.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
சேமின் மகன்கள்: ஏலாம், அசூர், அர்பக்சாத், லூத், ஆராம்.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
ஆராமின் மகன்கள்: ஊத்ஸ், கூல், கேத்தெர், மாஸ்.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
அர்பக்சாத் சேலாவின் தகப்பன், சேலா ஏபேரின் தகப்பன்.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
ஏபேருக்கு இரண்டு மகன்கள் பிறந்தார்கள். ஒருவன் பெயர் பேலேகு, ஏனெனில், அவன் காலத்தில் பூமியிலுள்ள மக்கள் வெவ்வேறு மொழி குழுக்களாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டனர்; அவனுடைய சகோதரன் பெயர் யொக்தான்.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
யொக்தான் என்பவன், அல்மோதாத், செலேப், அசர்மாவேத், யேராகு,
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
அதோராம், ஊசால், திக்லா,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
ஓபால், அபிமாயேல், சேபா,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
ஓப்பீர், ஆவிலா, யோபாப் ஆகியோரின் தகப்பன். இவர்களே யொக்தானின் மகன்கள்.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
இவர்கள் குடியிருந்த பிரதேசம் மேசாவிலிருந்து, கிழக்கு மலைப் பகுதியிலுள்ள செப்பார்வரை பரவியிருந்தது.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படியும், மொழிகளின்படியும் தங்கள் பிரதேசங்களிலும் நாடுகளிலும் வாழ்ந்த சேமுடைய சந்ததியினர் இவர்களே.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
தங்கள் நாடுகளிலுள்ள நோவாவுடைய மகன்களின் வழிவந்த குடும்பவாரியான வம்சங்களின் சந்ததிகள் இவையே. இவர்களிலிருந்தே பெருவெள்ளத்திற்கு பிறகு பூமியெங்கும் நாடுகள் பரவின.
