Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
Las siguientes son las genealogías de los hijos de Noé: Sem, Cam, y Jafet. Ellos tuvieron hijos después del diluvio.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Los hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Jabán, Tubal, Mésec y Tirás.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Los hijos de Gomer: Asquenaz, Rifat, y Togarmá.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Los hijos de Jabán: Elisá, Tarsis, Quitín, y Rodanín.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
Los descendientes de estos ancestros se esparcieron por las áreas costeras, cada grupo con su propio idioma, con sus familias que se convirtieron en diferentes naciones.
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
Los hijos de Cam: Cus, Misrayin, Fut, y Canaán.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Los hijos de Cus: Seba, Javilá, Sabtá, Ragama y Sabteca. Los hijos de Ragama: Sabá y Dedán.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Cus también fue el padre de Nimrod, quien se destacó como el primer tirano en la tierra.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
Fue un guerrero que desafió al Señor, y es la razón por la que existe el dicho: “Como Nimrod, un poderoso guerrero que desafió al Señor”.
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Su reino comenzó en las ciudades de Babel, Erec, Acad, y Calné, todas ellas ubicadas en la tierra de Sinar.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
De allí se mudó a Asiria y construyó las ciudades de Nínive, Rejobot Ir, Cala,
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
y Resén, la cual queda entre Nínive y la gran ciudad de Cala.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
Misrayin fue el padre de los ludeos, los anameos, los leabitas, los naftuitas
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
los patruseos, los caslujitas y los caftoritas (ancestros de los filisteos).
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Canaán fue el padre de Sidòn, su primogénito, y de los hititas,
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
de los jebuseos, de los amorreos, de los gergeseos,
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
de los heveos, los araceos, los sineos,
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
los arvadeos, los zemareos y los jamatitas. Luego las tribus de Canaán se esparcieron
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
y el territorio de los caananitas se extendió desde Sidón hasta Guerar y hasta Gaza, luego hacia Sodoma, Gomorra Admá, y Zeboyín, hasta Lasa.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
Estos fueron los hijos de Cam según sus tribus, idiomas, territorios y nación.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
Sem, cuyo hermano mayor era Jafet, también tuvo hijos. Sem fue el padre de todos los hijos de Eber.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
Los hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud, y Harán.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
Los hijos de Harán: Uz, Hul, Guéter, y Mas.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arfaxad fue el padre de Selaj. Y Selaj fue el padre de Éber.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Éber tuvo dos hijos. Uno se llamó Peleg, porque en su tiempo se dividió la tierra; y el nombre de su hermano era Joctán.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
Joctán fue el padre de Almodad, Sélef, Jazar Mávet, Yerah,
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
Hadorán, Uzal, Diclá,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Obal, Abimael, Sabá,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Ofir, Javilá y Jobab. Todos estos fueron hijos de Joctán.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
Ellos vivieron en la región entre Mesá hasta Sefar, en la región montañosa oriental.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
Estos fueron los hijos de Sem, sus tribus, idiomas, territorios y naciones.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
Todas estas fueron las tribus descendientes de los hijos de Noé, según su descendencia y naciones. A partir de estos ancestros se formaron las distintas naciones de la tierra que se expandieron en todo el mundo después del diluvio.
