Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
Seenaan ilmaan Nohi jechuunis kan Seem, kan Haamii fi kan Yaafet kana; isaanis bishaan badiisaa booddee ilmaan dhalchan.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Ilmaan Yaafet: Goomer, Maagoog, Meedee, Yaawaan, Tuubaal, Meshekii fi Tiiraas turan.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Ilmaan Goomer: Ashkenas, Riifaatii fi Toogarmaa turan.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Ilmaan Yaawaan: Eliishaa, Tarshiish, Kitiimii fi Roodaanota turan.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
Uummanni qarqara galaanaas tokkoon tokkoon isaanii akkuma afaan isaaniittii fi akkuma saba isaaniitti gara biyyoota isaaniitti bibittinnaaʼan.
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
Ilmaan Haam: Kuushi, Misrayim, Fuuxii fi Kanaʼaan turan.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Ilmaan Kuushi: Saabaa, Hawiilaa, Sabtaa, Raʼimaa fi Sabtekaa turan. Ilmaan Raʼimaa: Shebaa fi Dedaan turan.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Kuushi abbaa Naamruud; Naamruudis lafa irratti loltuu jabaa taʼe.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
Innis fuula Waaqayyoo duratti adamsaa jabaa ture; kanaafuu, “Fuula Waaqayyoo duratti adamsaa jabaa akka Naamruudi” jedhame.
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Jalqabni mootummaa isaa Shineʼaar keessatti Baabilon, Ereki, Akaadii fi Kaalnee ture.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
Innis biyya sanaa baʼee Asoor dhaqe; achittis Nanawwee, Rehoobootii fi Kaalahi ijaare;
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
akkasumas Resen ishee Nanawwee fi Kaalah gidduutti argamtu ni ijaare; Resen kunis magaalaa guddoo dha.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
Misrayim immoo abbaa Luudiimootaa, Anaamiimotaa, Lehaabiimotaa, Naftahiimootaa,
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
Fatrusiimotaa, Kaseluhiimotaa, jechuunis warra Filisxeemonni irraa dhalatanii fi Kaftooriimotaa ti.
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Kanaʼaan abbaa Siidoon ilma isaa hangaftichaa, akkasumas kan Heetotaa,
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
Yebuusotaa, Amoorotaa, Girgaashotaa,
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
Hiiwotaa, Arkaawotaa, Siinotaa,
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
Arwaadewotaa, Zemaarotaatii fi Hamaatotaa ture. Ergasii gosoonni Kanaʼaan ni bibittinnaaʼan;
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
daariin Kanaʼaanis Siidoonii kaʼee karaa Geraaraatiin hamma Gaazaatti balʼate; karaa Sodoom, Gomoraa, Adimaatii fi Zebooʼiimiitiinis hamma Leshaatti balʼate.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
Ilmaan Haam akkuma gosaa fi afaan isaaniitti, akkuma biyyaa fi saba isaaniitti kanneenii dha.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
Seemiifis ilmaan ni dhalatan; obboleessi Seem hangafti Yaafet ture; Seemis abbaa ilmaan Eeber hundaa ture.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
Ilmaan Seem Eelaam, Ashuur, Arfaakshad, Luudii fi Arraam turan.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
Ilmaan Arraam Uuzi, Huuli, Geterii fi Meshek turan.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arfaakshad Sheelaa dhalche; Sheelaan immoo Eeberin dhalche.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Eeberiifis ilmaan lamatu dhalate; sababii bara isaa keessa lafti gargar qoodamteef maqaan isa tokkoo Felegi jedhamee moggaafame; maqaan obboleessa isaa immoo Yooqxaan jedhamee moggaafame.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
Yooqxaan immoo Almoodaad, Sheleef, Hazarmaawet, Yaaraa,
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
Hadooraam, Uuzaal, Diqlaa,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Oobaal, Abiimaaʼeel, Shebaa,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Oofiir, Hawiilaa fi Yoobaabin dhalche. Warri kunneen hundinuu ilmaan Yooqxaanii ti.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
Lafti jireenya isaanii Meeshaa kaʼee karaa Sefaariitiin hamma gaarran baʼa biiftuutti balʼata.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
Ilmaan Seemi akkuma gosaa fi afaan isaaniitti, akkuma biyyaa fi saba isaaniitti kanneenii dha.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
Warri kun gosoota ilmaan Nohi kanneen akkuma dhaloota isaaniitti saba isaanii keessa jiranii dha; bishaan badiisaatiin booddee saboonni warruma kana irraa lafa irra faffacaʼan.
