Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
१नोहाच्या शेम, हाम व याफेथ या मुलांचे वंशज हे आहेत. पुरानंतर त्यांना मुले झाली.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
२याफेथाचे पुत्र गोमर, मागोग, माद्य, यावान, तुबाल, मेशेख व तीरास हे होते.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
३गोमरचे पुत्र आष्कनाज, रीफाथ व तोगार्मा हे होते.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
४यावानाचे पुत्र अलीशा, तार्शीश, कित्तीम व दोदानीम हे होते.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
५यांच्यापैकी समुद्र किनारपट्टीवरील लोक वेगळे झाले आणि आपापल्या भाषेनुसार, कुळानुसार त्यांनी देश वसवले.
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
६हामाचे पुत्र कूश, मिस्राईम, पूट व कनान होते.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
७कूशाचे पुत्र सबा, हवीला, साब्ता, रामा, व साब्तका होते आणि रामाचे पुत्र शबा व ददान हे होते.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
८कूशाने निम्रोदाला जन्म दिला, जो पृथ्वीवरचा पहिला जगजेत्ता बनला.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
९तो परमेश्वरापुढे पराक्रमी शिकारी मनुष्य बनला. त्यामुळे “निम्रोदासारखा परमेश्वरापुढे पराक्रमी शिकारी” अशी म्हण पडली आहे.
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
१०त्याच्या राज्याची पहिली मुख्य ठिकाणे शिनार देशातील बाबेल, एरक, अक्काद व कालने ही होती.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
११त्या देशातून तो अश्शूर देशास गेला व तेथे त्याने निनवे, रहोबोथ, ईर, कालह ही शहरे बांधली
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
१२आणि निनवे व कालह यांच्या दरम्यान त्याने रेसन नावाचे शहर वसवले. हे एक मोठे शहर आहे.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
१३मिस्राईम हा लूदीम, अनामीम, लहाबीम, नाप्तुहीम,
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
१४पात्रुसीम, कास्लूहीम (ज्यांच्यापासून पलिष्टी झाले), व कफतोरीम, ह्यांचा पिता बनला.
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
१५कनान हा त्याचा प्रथम जन्मलेला मुलगा सीदोन आणि हेथ यांचा,
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
१६तसेच यबूसी, अमोरी, गिर्गाशी,
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
१७हिव्वी, आर्की व शीनी
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
१८अर्वादी, समारी व हमाथी यांचा पिता होता. त्यानंतर कनानाची कुळे सर्वत्र पसरली.
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
१९कनान्यांची सीमा सीदोनापासून गराराकडे जाते त्या वाटेने गज्जा शहरापर्यंत होती. सदोम व गमोरा व तसेच अदमा व सबोयिम या शहरांकडे जाणाऱ्या वाटेवर लेशापर्यंत ती होती.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
२०कूळ, भाषा, देश व यांनुसार हे सर्व हाम याचे वंशज होते.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
२१शेम हा याफेथाचा वडील भाऊ होता. एबर हा शेम यांचा वंशज होता. तो सर्व एबर लोकांचा मूळ पुरुष होता.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
२२शेम याचे पुत्र एलाम, अश्शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद व अराम हे होते.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
२३अरामाचे पुत्र ऊस, हूल, गेतेर, आणि मेशेख हे होते.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
२४अर्पक्षद हा शेलहचा पिता झाला, शेलह हा एबरचा पिता झाला.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
२५एबर याला दोन मुले झाली. एकाचे नाव पेलेग होते, कारण त्याच्या काळात पृथ्वीची विभागणी झाली; त्याच्या भावाचे नाव यक्तान होते.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
२६यक्तान अलमोदाद, शेलेफ, हसर्मावेथ, येरह
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
२७हदोराम, ऊजाल, दिक्ला
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
२८ओबाल, अबीमाएल, शबा,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
२९ओफीर, हवीला व योबाब यांचा पिता झाला. हे सर्व यक्तानाचे पुत्र होते.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
३०त्यांचा प्रदेश मेशापासून पूर्वेकडील डोंगराळ भागात, सेफर प्रदेशापर्यंत होता.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
३१आपआपली कुळे, आपापल्या भाषा, देश व राष्ट्रे यांप्रमाणे विभागणी झालेले हे शेमाचे पुत्र.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
३२पिढ्या व राष्ट्रे ह्यांनुसार ही नोहाच्या मुलांची कुळे आहेत. महापुरानंतर यांच्यापासून वेगवेगळी राष्ट्रे निर्माण होऊन पृथ्वीवर पसरली.
