Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
Questa è la posterità dei figliuoli di Noè: Sem, Cam e Jafet; e a loro nacquero de’ figliuoli, dopo il diluvio.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
I figliuoli di Jafet furono Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Mescec e Tiras.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
I figliuoli di Gomer: Ashkenaz, Rifat e Togarma.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
I figliuoli di Javan: Elisha, Tarsis, Kittim e Dodanim.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
Da essi vennero i popoli sparsi nelle isole delle nazioni, nei loro diversi paesi, ciascuno secondo la propria lingua, secondo le loro famiglie, nelle loro nazioni.
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
I figliuoli di Cam furono Cush, Mitsraim, Put e Canaan.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
I figliuoli di Cush: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama e Sabteca; e i figliuoli di Raama: Sceba e Dedan.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
E Cush generò Nimrod, che cominciò a esser potente sulla terra.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
Egli fu un potente cacciatore nei cospetto dell’Eterno; perciò si dice: “Come Nimrod, potente cacciatore nel cospetto dell’Eterno”.
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
E il principio del suo regno fu Babel, Erec, Accad e Calne nel paese di Scinear.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
Da quel paese andò in Assiria ed edificò Ninive, Rehoboth-Ir e Calah;
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
e, fra Ninive e Calah, Resen, la gran città.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
Mitsraim generò i Ludim, gli Anamim, i Lehabim, i Naftuhim,
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
i Pathrusim, i Casluhim (donde uscirono i Filistei) e i Caftorim.
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Canaan generò Sidon, suo primogenito, e Heth,
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
e i Gebusei, gli Amorei, i Ghirgasei,
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
gli Hivvei, gli Archei, i Sinei,
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
gli Arvadei, i Tsemarei e gli Hamattei. Poi le famiglie dei Cananei si sparsero.
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
E i confini dei Cananei andarono da Sidon, in direzione di Gherar, fino a Gaza; e in direzione di Sodoma, Gomorra, Adma e Tseboim, fino a Lesha.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
Questi sono i figliuoli di Cam, secondo le loro famiglie, secondo le loro lingue, nei loro paesi, nelle loro nazioni.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
Anche a Sem, padre di tutti i figliuoli di Eber e fratello maggiore di Jafet, nacquero de’ figliuoli.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
I figliuoli di Sem furono Elam, Assur, Arpacshad, Lud e Aram.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
I figliuoli di Aram: Uz, Hul, Gheter e Mash.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
E Arpacshad generò Scelah, e Scelah generò Eber.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
E ad Eber nacquero due figliuoli; il nome dell’uno fu Peleg, perché ai suoi giorni la terra fu spartita; e il nome del suo fratello fu Jokthan.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
E Jokthan generò Almodad, Scelef, Hatsarmaveth,
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sceba,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Ofir, Havila e Jobab. Tutti questi furono figliuoli di Jokthan.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
E la loro dimora fu la montagna orientale, da Mesha, fin verso Sefar.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
Questi sono i figliuoli di Sem, secondo le loro famiglie, secondo le loro lingue, nei loro paesi, secondo le loro nazioni.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
Queste sono le famiglie dei figliuoli di Noè secondo le loro generazioni, nelle loro nazioni; e da essi uscirono le nazioni che si sparsero per la terra dopo il diluvio.
