Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
Ũyũ nĩguo ũhoro wa njiarwa cia Nuhu, nĩo Shemu, na Hamu, na Jafethu, arĩa o ene maagĩire na ariũ thuutha wa mũiyũro wa maaĩ.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Ariũ a Jafethu nĩ aya: Gomeri, na Magogu, na Madai, na Javani, na Tubali, na Mesheki, na Tirasi.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Ariũ a Gomeri nĩ aya: Ashikenazu, na Rifathu, na Togarima.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Ariũ a Javani nĩ aya: Elishahu, na Tarishishi, na Kitimu, na Rodanimu.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
(Kuuma kũrĩ o gũkiuma andũ arĩa matũũraga ndwere-inĩ cia iria, o andũ na rũgongo rwao kũringana na mĩhĩrĩga yao, mabũrũri-inĩ mao, na o andũ na rũthiomi rwao.)
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
Nao ariũ a Hamu nĩ aya: Kushi, na Miziraimu, na Putu, na Kaanani.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Ariũ a Kushi nĩ aya: Seba, na Havila, na Sabita, na Raama, na Sabiteka. Nao ariũ a Raama nĩ: Sheba, na Dedani.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Kushi nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Nimurodi, ũrĩa wakũrire agĩtuĩka njamba ya hinya ya ita gũkũ thĩ.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
Aarĩ mũguĩmi warĩ hinya mbere ya Jehova; na nĩkĩo kwĩragwo atĩrĩ, “O ta Nimurodi, mũguĩmi ũrĩ hinya mbere ya Jehova.”
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Matũũra ma mbere ma ũthamaki wake maarĩ Babeli, na Ereku, na Akadi na Kaline, kũu Shinaru.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
Kuuma bũrũri ũcio wa Shinaru agĩthiĩ bũrũri wa Ashuri, nakuo kũu agĩaka matũũra ma Nineve, na Rehobothu-Iru, na Kala,
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
na Reseni, itũũra rĩrĩ gatagatĩ ka Nineve na Kala; rĩu nĩrĩo rĩarĩ itũũra inene.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
Nake Miziraimu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Aludi, na Aanami, na Alehabi, na Anafituhi,
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
na Apathirusi, na Akasuluhi (Afilisti moimire kuuma harĩ o), na Akafitori.
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Kaanani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Sidoni irigithathi rĩake, na Ahiti,
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
na Ajebusi, na Aamori, na Agirigashi,
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
na Ahivi, na Ariki, na Asiniti,
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
na Aarivadi, na Azemari, na Ahamathi. Thuutha ũcio mĩhĩrĩga ya Kaanani ĩkĩhurunjũka,
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
mĩhaka ya Akaanani yoimĩte Sidoni ĩrorete Gerari ĩgakinya Gaza, ningĩ ĩkarora Sodomu, na Gomora, na Adima, na Zeboimu, o nginya Lasha.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
Acio nĩo ariũ a Hamu kũringana na mĩhĩrĩga yao, na thiomi ciao, marĩ ngʼongo ciao, na mabũrũri-inĩ mao.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
Shemu o nake nĩaciarĩirwo ariũ ake. Mũrũ wa nyina na Shemu ũrĩa warĩ mũkũrũ eetagwo Jafethu. Shemu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa rũruka ruothe rwa ariũ a Eberi.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
Ariũ a Shemu nĩ aya: Elamu, na Ashuri, na Arafakasadi, na Ludi, na Aramu.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
Nao ariũ a Aramu nĩ aya: Uzu, na Hulu, na Getheru, na Mesheki.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arafakasadi nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Shela, nake Shela aarĩ ithe wa Eberi.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Eberi nake nĩaciarĩirwo ariũ eerĩ: Ũmwe eetagwo Pelegu, tondũ hĩndĩ yake thĩ nĩyagayũkanire; mũrũ wa nyina eetagwo Jokitani.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
Jokitani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Alimodadi, na Shelefu, na Hazarimavethu, na Jera,
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
na Hadoramu, na Uzali, na Dikila,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
na Obali, na Abimaeli, na Sheba,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
na Ofiri, na Havila, na Jobabu. Acio othe nĩo maarĩ ariũ a Jokitani.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
Rũgongo rũrĩa maatũũraga ruoimĩte Mesha rũgathiĩ rũrorete Sefari, kũu mwena wa irathĩro wa bũrũri ũrĩa ũrĩ irĩma.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
Acio nĩo ariũ a Shemu kũringana na mĩhĩrĩga yao, na thiomi ciao, marĩ ngʼongo ciao na mabũrũri-inĩ mao.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
Ĩyo nĩyo mĩhĩrĩga ya ariũ a Nuhu kũringana na njiaro ciao, marĩ mabũrũri-inĩ mao. Kuuma kũrĩ o, ndũrĩrĩ ikĩhurunjũka thĩ yothe thuutha wa mũiyũro wa maaĩ.
