Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sonnes of Noah, Shem, Ham and Iapheth: vnto whom sonnes were borne after the flood.
Dies ist das Geschlechtsregister der Söhne Noahs: Sem, Ham und Japhet; und nach der Sündflut wurden ihnen Kinder geboren.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Die Söhne Japhets waren: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Mesech und Tiras.
3 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Die Söhne Gomers aber: Aschkenas, Riphat und Togarma.
4 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Und die Söhne Javans: Elischa, Tarsis, Kittim und Rodanim.
5 Of these were the yles of the Gentiles deuided in their landes, euery man after his tongue, and after their families in their nations.
Sie haben sich auf die Inseln der Heiden verteilt, in ihre Länder, ein jedes nach seiner Sprache; in ihre Völkerschaften, ein jedes nach seiner Abstammung.
6 Moreouer, ye sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
Und dies sind die Söhne Hams: Kusch, Mizraim, Put und Kanaan.
7 And the sonnes of Cush, Seba and Hauilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Und die Söhne Kuschs: Seba, Chavila, Sabta, Raema, Sabteka und Dedan.
8 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Auch zeugte Kusch den Nimrod; der fing an ein Gewaltiger zu sein auf Erden.
9 He was a mightie hunter before the Lord. wherefore it is saide, As Nimrod the mightie hunter before the Lord.
Er war ein gewaltiger Jäger vor dem HERRN; daher sagt man: Ein gewaltiger Jäger vor dem HERRN wie Nimrod.
10 And the beginning of his kingdome was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Und der Anfang seines Königreiches war Babel, Erek, Akkad und Kalne im Lande Sinear.
11 Out of that land came Asshur, and builded Niniueh, and the citie Rehoboth, and Calah:
Von diesem Land zog er nach Assur aus und baute Ninive, Rechobot-Ir und Kelach,
12 Resen also betweene Niniueh and Calah: this is a great citie.
dazu Resen, zwischen Ninive und Kelach; das ist die große Stadt.
13 And Mizraim begate Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.
Mizraim aber zeugte die Luditer, Anamiter, Lehabiter und Naphtuchiter;
14 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistims) and Caphtorims.
auch die Patrusiter und die Kasluchiter, von welchen die Philister und die Kaphtoriter ausgegangen sind.
15 Also Canaan begat Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Kanaan aber zeugte Zidon, seinen Erstgebornen und Het;
16 And Iebusi, and Emori, and Girgashi,
auch die Jebusiter, Amoriter und Girgasiter;
17 And Hiui, and Arki, and Sini,
die Heviter, Arkiter und Siniter;
18 And Aruadi, and Zemari, and Hamathi: and afterwarde were the families of the Canaanites spred abroade.
die Arvaditer, Zemariter und die Chamatiter; und darnach breiteten sich die Geschlechter der Kanaaniter aus.
19 Then the border of the Canaanites was from Zidon, as thou commest to Gerar vntil Azzah, and as thou goest vnto Sodom, and Gomorah, and Admah, and Zeboijm, euen vnto Lasha.
Und der Kanaaniter Gebiet erstreckte sich von Zidon an bis dahin, wo man von Gerar nach Gaza kommt; desgleichen bis dahin, wo man von Sodom und Gomorra, Adama und Zeboim nach Lascha kommt.
20 These are the sonnes of Ham according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and in their nations.
Das sind die Söhne Hams nach ihren Geschlechtern und Sprachen, in ihren Ländern und Völkerschaften.
21 Vnto Shem also the father of all the sonnes of Eber, and elder brother of Iapheth were children borne.
Auch Sem wurden Kinder geboren, ihm, dem Vater aller Söhne Ebers, Japhets älterem Bruder.
22 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
Sems Söhne waren Elam, Assur, Arpakschad, Lud und Aram.
23 And the sonnes of Aram, Vz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
Und Arams Söhne: Uz, Chul, Geter und Masch.
24 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arpakschad aber zeugte den Schelach, und Schelach zeugte den Eber.
25 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was the earth diuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Und dem Eber wurden zwei Söhne geboren; der eine hieß Peleg, weil in seinen Tagen das Land verteilt ward; sein Bruder aber hieß Joktan.
26 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazarmaueth, and Ierah,
Und Joktan zeugte Almodad, Schaleph, Chazarmavet, Jarach,
27 And Hadoram, and Vzal, and Dicklah,
Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Obal, Abimael, Scheba,
29 And Ophir, and Hauilah, and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Ophir, Chavila und Jobad; diese alle sind Söhne Joktans.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest vnto Sephar a mount of the East.
Und ihre Wohnsitze erstreckten sich von Mesa an, bis man gen Sephar kommt, zum östlichen Gebirge.
31 These are the sonnes of Shem according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countreis and nations.
Das sind die Söhne Sems nach ihren Geschlechtern und Sprachen, in ihren Ländern und Völkerschaften.
32 These are the families of the sonnes of Noah, after their generations among their people: and out of these were the nations diuided in the earth after the flood.
Das sind die Geschlechter der Söhne Noahs nach ihrer Abstammung in ihren Völkern; und von ihnen haben sich nach der Sündflut die Völker auf der Erde verteilt.
