Galatians 3

1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the trueth, to whome Iesus Christ before was described in your sight, and among you crucified?

निर्बुद्धि गलातियो! किसने तुम्हें सम्मोहित कर दिया? तुम्हारे सामने तो मसीह येशु को साफ़-साफ़ क्रूस पर दिखाया गया था.

2 This only would I learne of you, Receiued ye the Spirit by the workes of the Lawe, or by the hearing of faith preached?

मैं तुमसे सिर्फ यह जानना चाहता हूं: पवित्र आत्मा तुमने व्यवस्था के नियम-पालन द्वारा प्राप्‍त किया या ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार को सुनने और उसमें विश्वास करने के द्वारा?

3 Are ye so foolish, that after ye haue begun in the Spirit, ye would now be made perfect by the flesh?

क्या तुम इतने निर्बुद्धि हो? जो पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा शुरू किया गया था क्या वह मनुष्य के कार्यों से सिद्ध बनाया जा रहा है?

4 Haue ye suffered so many things in vaine? if so be it be euen in vaine.

तुमने इतने दुःख उठाए तो क्या वे वास्तव में व्यर्थ थे?

5 He therefore that ministreth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it through the workes of the Law, or by the hearing of faith preached?

परमेश्वर, जो तुम्हें अपना आत्मा प्रदान करते तथा तुम्हारे बीच चमत्कार करते हैं, क्या यह वह व्यवस्था का पालन करने के द्वारा करते हैं या विश्वास के साथ सुनने के द्वारा?

6 Yea rather as Abraham beleeued God, and it was imputed to him for righteousnes.

जैसे अब्राहाम ने “परमेश्वर में विश्वास किया, और यह उनके लिए धार्मिकता माना गया.”

7 Knowe ye therefore, that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

इसलिये अब यह भली-भांति समझ लो कि जिन्होंने विश्वास किया है वे ही अब्राहाम की संतान हैं.

8 For the Scripture foreseeing, that God would iustifie the Gentiles through faith, preached before the Gospel vnto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed.

पवित्र शास्त्र ने पहले से जानकर कि परमेश्वर गैर-यहूदियों को विश्वास के द्वारा धर्मी ठहराएंगे, पहले ही अब्राहाम को यह शुभ संदेश देते हुए कहा था: “सभी राष्ट्र तुममें आशीषित होंगे.”

9 So then they which be of faith, are blessed with faithfull Abraham.

इसलिये वे सभी, जो विश्वास करते हैं, अब्राहाम—विश्वास पुरुष—के साथ, जो स्वयं विश्वासी थे, आशीषित किए जाते हैं.

10 For as many as are of the workes of the Lawe, are vnder the curse: for it is written, Cursed is euery man that continueth not in all things, which are written in the booke of the Law, to doe them.

वे, जो व्यवस्था के कार्यों पर निर्भर हैं, शापित हैं क्योंकि पवित्र शास्त्र का वर्णन है: “शापित है वह, जो व्यवस्था के हर एक नियम का पालन नहीं करता.”

11 And that no man is iustified by the Law in the sight of God, it is euident: for the iust shall liue by faith.

यह स्पष्ट है कि व्यवस्था के द्वारा परमेश्वर के सामने कोई भी धर्मी नहीं ठहरता; क्योंकि लिखा है: “वह, जो धर्मी है, विश्वास से जीवित रहेगा.”

12 And the Lawe is not of faith: but the man that shall doe those things, shall liue in them.

फिर भी, व्यवस्था विश्वास पर आधारित नहीं है, “इसके विपरीत, जो इसका अनुसरण करेगा, वह इसके कारण जीवित रहेगा.”

13 Christ hath redeemed vs from the curse of the Lawe, made a curse for vs, (for it is written, Cursed is euery one that hangeth on tree)

मसीह ने स्वयं शाप बनकर हमें व्यवस्था के शाप से मुक्त कर दिया, जैसा कि लिखा है: “शापित है हर एक, जो काठ पर लटकाया जाता है.”

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Iesus, that wee might receiue the promise of the Spirite through faith.

यह सब इसलिये कि मसीह येशु में अब्राहाम की आशीषें गैर-यहूदियों तक आएं और हम विश्वास द्वारा प्रतिज्ञा की हुई पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्‍त करें.

15 Brethren, I speake as men do: though it be but a mans couenant, when it is confirmed, yet no man doeth abrogate it, or addeth any thing thereto.

प्रिय भाई बहनो, मैं सामान्य जीवन से उदाहरण दे रहा हूं. एक मानवीय वाचा की पुष्टि के बाद उसे न तो कोई अलग करता है और न ही उसमें कुछ जोड़ता है.

16 Nowe to Abraham and his seede were the promises made. Hee saith not, And to the seedes, as speaking of many: but, And to thy seede, as of one, which is Christ.

प्रतिज्ञाएं अब्राहाम और उनके वंशज से की गई थी. वहां यह नहीं कहा गया “वंशजों से,” मानो अनेकों से परंतु एक ही से अर्थात् “वंशज से,” अर्थात् मसीह से.

17 And this I say, that the couenant that was confirmed afore of God in respect of Christ, the Lawe which was foure hundreth and thirtie yeeres after, can not disanull, that it shoulde make the promise of none effect.

मेरे कहने का मतलब यह है: परमेश्वर ने अब्राहाम से एक वाचा स्थापित की तथा उसे पूरा करने की प्रतिज्ञा भी की. चार सौ तीस वर्ष बाद दी गई व्यवस्था न तो परमेश्वर की वाचा को मिटा सकती है और न परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा को.

18 For if the inheritance be of the Lawe, it is no more by the promise, but God gaue it freely vnto Abraham by promise.

यदि मीरास का आधार व्यवस्था है तो मीरास प्रतिज्ञा पर आधारित हो ही नहीं सकती, किंतु परमेश्वर ने अब्राहाम को यह मीरास प्रतिज्ञा द्वारा ही प्रदान की.

19 Wherefore then serueth the Law? It was added because of the transgressions, til the seed came, vnto the which the promise was made: and it was ordeined by Angels in the hande of a Mediatour.

तब क्या उद्देश्य है व्यवस्था का? अपराध का अहसास. उसे स्वर्गदूतों द्वारा एक मध्यस्थ के माध्यम से आधिकारिक रूप से उस वंशज के आने तक बनाये रखा गया जिसके विषय में प्रतिज्ञा की गई थी.

20 Nowe a Mediatour is not a Mediatour of one: but God is one.

सिर्फ एक पक्ष के लिए मध्यस्थ आवश्यक नहीं होता, जबकि परमेश्वर सिर्फ एक हैं.

21 Is the Lawe then against the promises of God? God forbid: For if there had bene a Lawe giuen which coulde haue giuen life, surely righteousnes should haue bene by the Lawe.

तो क्या व्यवस्था परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञाओं के विपरीत है? बिलकुल नहीं! यदि कोई ऐसी व्यवस्था दी गई होती, जो जीवन प्रदान कर सकती थी, तब निश्चयतः उस व्यवस्था के पालन करने पर धार्मिकता प्राप्‍त हो जाती.

22 But the Scripture hath concluded all vnder sinne, that the promise by the faith of Iesus Christ should be giuen to them that beleeue.

किंतु पवित्र शास्त्र ने यह स्पष्ट किया कि पूरा विश्व पाप की अधीनता में है कि मसीह येशु में विश्वास करने के द्वारा प्रतिज्ञा उन्हें दी जा सके, जो विश्वास करते हैं.

23 But before faith came, we were kept vnder the Law, as vnder a garison, and shut vp vnto that faith, which should afterward be reueiled.

मसीह येशु में विश्वास के प्रकाशन से पहले हम व्यवस्था के संरक्षण में रखे गए, उस विश्वास से अनजान, जो प्रकट होने पर था.

24 Wherefore the Lawe was our scholemaster to bring vs to Christ, that we might be made righteous by faith.

इसलिये व्यवस्था हमें मसीह तक पहुंचाने के लिए हमारा संरक्षक हुआ कि हम विश्वास द्वारा धर्मी ठहराए जाएं.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer vnder a scholemaster.

परंतु अब, जब विश्वास आ चुका है, हम संरक्षक के अधीन नहीं रहे.

26 For ye are al the sonnes of God by faith, in Christ Iesus.

इसलिये तुम सब मसीह येशु में विश्वास द्वारा परमेश्वर की संतान हो,

27 For all ye that are baptized into Christ, haue put on Christ.

तुम सबने जो मसीह में बपतिस्मा लिया है, मसीह को धारण कर लिया है.

28 There is neither Iewe nor Grecian: there is neither bonde nor free: there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Iesus.

इसलिये अब न कोई यहूदी है, न कोई यूनानी; न कोई स्वतंत्र है, न कोई दास और न कोई पुरुष है, न कोई स्त्री क्योंकि तुम सब मसीह येशु में एक हो.

29 And if ye be Christes, then are ye Abrahams seede, and heires by promise.

यदि तुम मसीह के हो, तो तुम अब्राहाम के वंशज हो, परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा के वारिस.
