Ezra 7
1 Now after these things, in the reigne of Artahshashte King of Persia, was Ezra the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Hilkiah,
Passadas estas coisas, no reinado de Artaxerxes, rei da Pérsia, Esdras, filho de Seraías, filho de Azarias, filho de Hilquias,
2 The sonne of Shallum, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Ahitub,
filho de Salum, filho de Zadoque, filho de Aitube,
3 The sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Meraioth,
filho de Amarias, filho de Azarias, filho de Meraiote,
4 The sonne of Zeraiah, the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Bukki,
filho de Zeraías, filho de Uzi, filho de Buqui,
5 The sonne of Abishua, the sonne of Phinehas, the sonne of Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron, the chiefe Priest.
filho de Abisua, filho de Fineias, filho de Eleazar, filho de Arão, o sumo sacerdote;
6 This Ezra came vp from Babel, and was a Scribe prompt in the Lawe of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had giuen, and the King gaue him all his request according to the hande of the Lord his God which was vpon him.
este Esdras subiu da Babilônia; e ele era escriba habilidoso na lei de Moisés, dada pelo SENHOR Deus de Israel; e segundo a mão do SENHOR, seu Deus, sobre ele, o rei lhe deu tudo quanto lhe pedira.
7 And there went vp certaine of the children of Israel, and of the Priests, and the Leuites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims vnto Ierusalem, in the seuenth yere of King Artahshashte.
E subiram com ele a Jerusalém [alguns] dos filhos de Israel, dos sacerdotes, levitas, cantores, porteiros, e servos do templo, no sétimo ano do rei Artaxerxes.
8 And hee came to Ierusalem in the fift moneth, which was in the seuenth yeere of the King.
E ele chegou a Jerusalém no mês quinto, no sétimo ano do rei.
9 For vpon the first day of the first moneth began he to goe vp from Babel, and on the first day of the fift moneth came he to Ierusalem, according to the good hande of his God that was vpon him.
Pois no primeiro [dia] do mês primeiro, foi o princípio da subida da Babilônia; e ao primeiro do mês quinto chegou a Jerusalém, segundo a boa mão de seu Deus sobre ele.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seeke the Lawe of the Lord, and to doe it, and to teach the precepts and iudgements in Israel.
Porque Esdras tinha decidido em seu coração buscar a lei do SENHOR, e a praticar; e ensinar a Israel [seus] estatutos e juízos.
11 And this is the copie of the letter that King Artahshashte gaue vnto Ezra the Priest and scribe, euen a writer of the words of the commadements of ye Lord, and of his statutes ouer Israel.
E este é a transcrição da carta que o rei Artaxerxes deu a Esdras, sacerdote e escriba, o escriba das palavras dos mandamentos do SENHOR, e de seus estatutos sobre Israel:
12 ARTAHSHASHTE King of Kings to Ezra the Priest and perfite scribe of the Lawe of the God of heauen, and to Cheeneth.
Artaxerxes, rei de reis, ao sacerdote Esdras, escriba da Lei de Deus do céu. [Paz] completa.
13 I haue giuen commandement, that euery one, that is willing in my kingdome of the people of Israel, and of the Priestes, and Leuites to goe to Ierusalem with thee, shall goe.
Por mim é promulgado decreto, que todo aquele em meu reino, do povo de Israel, e de seus sacerdotes e levitas, que quiser ir contigo a Jerusalém, vá.
14 Therefore art thou sent of the King and his seuen counsellers, to enquire in Iudah and Ierusalem, according to the lawe of thy God, which is in thine hand,
Porque de parte do rei e de seus sete conselheiros tu és enviado a investigar a respeito da de Judá e de Jerusalém, conforme a lei de teu Deus que está em tua mão;
15 And to carry the siluer and the gold, which the King and his cousellers willingly offer vnto the God of Israel (whose habitation is in Ierusalem)
E a levar a prata e o ouro que o rei e seus conselheiros voluntariamente deram ao Deus de Israel, cuja habitação está em Jerusalém;
16 And all the siluer and gold that thou canst finde in all the prouince of Babel, with the free offring of the people, and that which the Priestes offer willingly to the house of their God which is in Ierusalem,
E também toda a prata e o ouro que achares em toda a província de Babilônia, com as ofertas voluntárias do povo e dos sacerdotes, que voluntariamente oferecerem para a casa de seu Deus que está em Jerusalém.
17 That thou mayest bye speedily with this siluer, bullocks, rammes, lambes, with their meate offrings and their drinke offrings: and thou shalt offer them vpon the altar of the house of your God, which is in Ierusalem.
Portanto, com este dinheiro, compra novilhos, carneiros, cordeiros, com seus suas ofertas de alimento e suas ofertas de bebidas, e oferece-os sobre o altar da casa de vosso Deus, que está em Jerusalém.
18 And whatsoeuer it pleaseth thee and thy brethren to do with the rest of the siluer, and gold, doe ye it according to the will of your God.
Também o que a ti e a teus irmãos parecer bem fazerdes do restante da prata e do ouro, fazei [-o] conforme a vontade de vosso Deus.
19 And the vessels that are giuen thee for the seruice of the house of thy God, those deliuer thou before God in Ierusalem.
E os utensílios que te foram entregues para o serviço da casa de teu Deus, restitui-os diante do Deus de Jerusalém.
20 And the residue that shall be needeful for the house of thy God, which shall be meete for thee to bestowe, thou shalt bestowe it out of the Kings treasure house,
E o demais que for necessário para a casa de teu Deus que caiba a ti dar, tu o darás da casa dos tesouros do rei.
21 And I King Artahshashte haue giuen commandemet to all the treasurers which are beyond the Riuer, that whatsoeuer Ezra the Priest and Scribe of the Law of the God of heauen shall require of you, that it be done incontinently,
E por mim mesmo, o rei Artaxerxes, é dado decreto a todos os tesoureiros que estão além do rio, que tudo quanto o sacerdote Esdras, escriba da lei do Deus dos céus, vos pedir, apressadamente lhe seja concedido;
22 Vnto an hundreth talents of siluer, vnto an hundreth measures of wheate, and vnto an hundreth baths of wine, and vnto an hundreth baths of oyle, and salt without writing.
Até cem talentos de prata, e até cem coros de trigo, e até cem batos de vinho, e até cem batos de azeite; e sal sem limite.
23 Whatsoeuer is by the commandement of the God of heauen, let it be done speedily for the house of the God of heauen: for why should he be wroth against the realme of the King, and his children?
Tudo o que for ordenado pelo Deus do céu, prontamente se faça para a casa do Deus do céu; pois para que teria de haver grande ira contra o reino do rei e de seus filhos?
24 And we certifie you, that vpon any of the Priestes, Leuites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or Ministers in this house of God, there shall no gouernour laye vpon them tolle, tribute nor custome.
Também vos fazemos saber, acerca de todos os sacerdotes, levitas, cantores, porteiros, servos do templo, e trabalhadores da casa de Deus, ninguém possa lhes impor tributo, imposto, ou taxa.
25 And thou Ezra (after the wisedome of thy God, that is in thine hand) set iudges and arbiters, which may iudge all the people that is beyond the Riuer, euen all that knowe the Lawe of thy God, and teach ye them that know it not.
E tu, Esdras, conforme a sabedoria de teu Deus que está contigo, põe oficiais e juízes, que julguem a todo o povo que está além do rio, a todos os que conhecem as Leis de teu Deus; e ao que não as conhecerem, tu lhes ensinará.
26 And whosoeuer will not doe the Lawe of thy God, and the Kings lawe, let him haue iudgement without delay, whether it be vnto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
E todo aquele que não cumprir a Lei de teu Deus e a lei do rei, prontamente seja julgado, ou à morte, ou à expulsão, ou à multa, ou à prisão.
27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which so hath put in the Kings heart, to beautifie the house of the Lord that is in Ierusalem,
Bendito seja o SENHOR, Deus de nossos pais, que pôs tal coisa no coração do rei, para glorificar a casa do SENHOR, que está em Jerusalém;
28 And hath enclined mercy toward me, before the King and his counsellers, and before all the Kings mightie Princes: and I was comforted by the hand of the Lord my God which was vpon me, and I gathered the chiefe of Israel to goe vp with me.
E sobre mim inclinou bondade diante do rei e de seus conselheiros, e de todos os príncipes poderosos do rei. Assim eu me esforcei segundo a mão do SENHOR meu Deus sobre mim, e ajuntei os líderes de Israel para subirem comigo.
