Ezra 7
1 Now after these things, in the reigne of Artahshashte King of Persia, was Ezra the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Hilkiah,
Nach diesen Geschichten im Königreich Arthahsasthas, des Königs in Persien, zog herauf von Babel Esra, der Sohn Serajas, des Sohns Asarjas, des Sohns Hilkias,
2 The sonne of Shallum, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Ahitub,
des Sohns Sallums, des Sohns Zadoks, des Sohns Ahitobs,
3 The sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Meraioth,
des Sohns Amarjas, des Sohns Asarjas, des Sohns Merajoths,
4 The sonne of Zeraiah, the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Bukki,
des Sohns Serajas, des Sohns Usis, des Sohns Bukis,
5 The sonne of Abishua, the sonne of Phinehas, the sonne of Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron, the chiefe Priest.
des Sohns Abisuas, des Sohns Pinehas, des Sohns Eleasars, des Sohns Aarons, des obersten Priesters,
6 This Ezra came vp from Babel, and was a Scribe prompt in the Lawe of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had giuen, and the King gaue him all his request according to the hande of the Lord his God which was vpon him.
welcher war ein geschickter Schriftgelehrter im Gesetz Mose, das der HERR, der Gott Israels, gegeben hatte. Und der König gab ihm alles was er forderte, nach der Hand des HERRN, seines Gottes, über ihm.
7 And there went vp certaine of the children of Israel, and of the Priests, and the Leuites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims vnto Ierusalem, in the seuenth yere of King Artahshashte.
Und es zogen herauf etliche der Kinder Israel und der Priester und der Leviten, der Sänger, der Torhüter und der Nethinim gen Jerusalem im siebenten Jahr Arthahsasthas, des Königs.
8 And hee came to Ierusalem in the fift moneth, which was in the seuenth yeere of the King.
Und sie kamen gen Jerusalem im fünften Monden, das ist das siebente Jahr des Königs.
9 For vpon the first day of the first moneth began he to goe vp from Babel, and on the first day of the fift moneth came he to Ierusalem, according to the good hande of his God that was vpon him.
Denn am ersten Tage des ersten Monden ward er Rats, heraufzuziehen von Babel, und am ersten Tage des fünften Monden kam er gen Jerusalem nach der guten Hand Gottes über ihm.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seeke the Lawe of the Lord, and to doe it, and to teach the precepts and iudgements in Israel.
Denn Esra schickte sein Herz, zu suchen das Gesetz des HERRN und zu tun und zu lehren in Israel Gebote und Rechte.
11 And this is the copie of the letter that King Artahshashte gaue vnto Ezra the Priest and scribe, euen a writer of the words of the commadements of ye Lord, and of his statutes ouer Israel.
Und dies ist der Inhalt des Briefes, den der König Arthahsastha gab Esra, dem Priester, dem Schriftgelehrten, der ein Lehrer war in den Worten des HERRN und seiner Gebote über Israel:
12 ARTAHSHASHTE King of Kings to Ezra the Priest and perfite scribe of the Lawe of the God of heauen, and to Cheeneth.
Arthahsastha, König aller Könige, Esra, dem Priester und Schriftgelehrten im Gesetz des Gottes vom Himmel, Friede und Gruß!
13 I haue giuen commandement, that euery one, that is willing in my kingdome of the people of Israel, and of the Priestes, and Leuites to goe to Ierusalem with thee, shall goe.
Von mir ist befohlen, daß alle, die da freiwillig sind in meinem Reich, des Volks Israel und der Priester und Leviten, gen Jerusalem zu ziehen, daß die mit dir ziehen,
14 Therefore art thou sent of the King and his seuen counsellers, to enquire in Iudah and Ierusalem, according to the lawe of thy God, which is in thine hand,
vom Könige und den sieben Ratsherren gesandt, zu besuchen Juda und Jerusalem nach dem Gesetz Gottes, das unter deiner Hand ist,
15 And to carry the siluer and the gold, which the King and his cousellers willingly offer vnto the God of Israel (whose habitation is in Ierusalem)
und mitnehmest Silber und Gold, das der König und seine Ratsherren freiwillig geben dem Gott Israels, des Wohnung zu Jerusalem ist,
16 And all the siluer and gold that thou canst finde in all the prouince of Babel, with the free offring of the people, and that which the Priestes offer willingly to the house of their God which is in Ierusalem,
und allerlei Silber und Gold, das du finden kannst in der ganzen Landschaft zu Babel, mit dem, das das Volk und die Priester freiwillig geben zum Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem.
17 That thou mayest bye speedily with this siluer, bullocks, rammes, lambes, with their meate offrings and their drinke offrings: and thou shalt offer them vpon the altar of the house of your God, which is in Ierusalem.
All dasselbe nimm und kaufe mit Fleiß von demselben Gelde Kälber, Lämmer, Böcke und Speisopfer und Trankopfer, daß man opfere auf dem Altare bei dem Hause eures Gottes zu Jerusalem.
18 And whatsoeuer it pleaseth thee and thy brethren to do with the rest of the siluer, and gold, doe ye it according to the will of your God.
Dazu was dir und deinen Brüdern mit dem übrigen Gelde zu tun gefällt, das tut nach dem Willen eures Gottes.
19 And the vessels that are giuen thee for the seruice of the house of thy God, those deliuer thou before God in Ierusalem.
Und die Gefäße, die dir gegeben sind zum Amt im Hause deines Gottes, überantworte vor Gott zu Jerusalem.
20 And the residue that shall be needeful for the house of thy God, which shall be meete for thee to bestowe, thou shalt bestowe it out of the Kings treasure house,
Auch was mehr not sein wird zum Hause deines Gottes, das dir vorfällt auszugeben, das laß geben aus der Kammer des Königs.
21 And I King Artahshashte haue giuen commandemet to all the treasurers which are beyond the Riuer, that whatsoeuer Ezra the Priest and Scribe of the Law of the God of heauen shall require of you, that it be done incontinently,
Ich, König Arthahsastha, habe dies befohlen den Schatzmeistern jenseit des Wassers, daß, was Esra von euch fordern wird, der Priester und Schriftgelehrte im Gesetz Gottes vom Himmel, daß ihr das fleißig tut,
22 Vnto an hundreth talents of siluer, vnto an hundreth measures of wheate, and vnto an hundreth baths of wine, and vnto an hundreth baths of oyle, and salt without writing.
bis auf hundert Zentner Silbers und auf hundert Kor Weizen und auf hundert Bath Weins und auf hundert Bath Öls und Salzes ohne Maß.
23 Whatsoeuer is by the commandement of the God of heauen, let it be done speedily for the house of the God of heauen: for why should he be wroth against the realme of the King, and his children?
Alles, was gehöret zum Gesetz Gottes vom Himmel, daß man dasselbe fleißig tue zum Hause Gottes vom Himmel, daß nicht ein Zorn komme über des Königs Königreich und seine Kinder.
24 And we certifie you, that vpon any of the Priestes, Leuites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or Ministers in this house of God, there shall no gouernour laye vpon them tolle, tribute nor custome.
Und euch sei kund, daß ihr nicht Macht habt, Zins, Zoll und jährliche Rente zu legen auf irgend einen Priester, Leviten, Sänger, Torhüter, Nethinim und Diener im Hause dieses Gottes.
25 And thou Ezra (after the wisedome of thy God, that is in thine hand) set iudges and arbiters, which may iudge all the people that is beyond the Riuer, euen all that knowe the Lawe of thy God, and teach ye them that know it not.
Du aber, Esra, nach der Weisheit deines Gottes, die unter deiner Hand ist, setze Richter und Pfleger, die alles Volk richten, das jenseit des Wassers ist, alle, die das Gesetz deines Gottes wissen; und welche es nicht wissen, die lehret es.
26 And whosoeuer will not doe the Lawe of thy God, and the Kings lawe, let him haue iudgement without delay, whether it be vnto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
Und alle, die nicht mit Fleiß tun werden das Gesetz deines Gottes und das Gesetz des Königs, der soll sein Urteil um der Tat willen haben, es sei zum Tode, oder in die Acht, oder zur Buße am Gut, oder ins Gefängnis.
27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which so hath put in the Kings heart, to beautifie the house of the Lord that is in Ierusalem,
Gelobet sei der HERR, unserer Väter Gott, der solches hat dem Könige eingegeben, daß er das Haus Gottes zu Jerusalem zierete,
28 And hath enclined mercy toward me, before the King and his counsellers, and before all the Kings mightie Princes: and I was comforted by the hand of the Lord my God which was vpon me, and I gathered the chiefe of Israel to goe vp with me.
und hat zu mir Barmherzigkeit geneiget vor dem Könige und seinen Ratsherren und allen Gewaltigen des Königs. Und ich ward getrost, nach der Hand des HERRN, meines Gottes, über mir, und versammelte die Häupter aus Israel, daß sie mit mir hinaufzögen.
